By now a great deal of work is known concerning the methods of determining the production of bacteria or similar questions; among these the problems of a common terminology is discussed. The article discusses formulae of production of bacterial populations over time.

IDENTIDADES E TEOLOGIAS NO PRIMEIRO CÂNTICO DO SERVO DE YHWH: Estudo exegético de Isaías 42,1-9 SÃO BERNARDO DO CAMPO 2014

A identidade do Servo de YHWH sempre foi um grande desafio para a pesquisa bíblica. Quem seria esse Servo? Não se pretende saber historicamente quem foi o Servo de YHWH, pois isso é uma tarefa impossível. Pretende-se levantar algumas pistas a partir do contexto histórico e do próprio texto do Dêutero-Isaías que permita pensar na possibilidade de que uma comunidade exilada na Babilônia fosse chamada de Servo e destinada por YHWH para tal missão. Na perícope de Is 42,1-9, YHWH convoca o Servo para uma missão bem específica: fazer sair o direito para as nações. Esse direito que o Servo fará sair às nações é o direito de YHWH que se manifesta na libertação concreta de todos os encarcerados. O Servo com suas posturas silenciosas e proféticas, com sua prática solidária aos sofredores e com sua tenacidade, levará adiante esse projeto de libertação. Por meio dos procedimentos exegéticos e com referencial teórico de diferentes autores que já pesquisaram sobre esse tema, pretende-se investigar a possibilidade de que neste cântico do Servo de YHWH possa nascer uma Teologia do Servo que está em profunda sintonia com o Ser do próprio YHWH. Desta maneira, YHWH - Servo carregam um mesmo projeto concreto de libertação que tem como fundamento o direito e a justiça. Surge, então, no meio do povo sofrido, um novo modelo de liderança política.

IMANUEL E ESPÍRITO DE IAHWEH: Leitura e releitura do messianismo em Isaías (7,10-17; 8,23-9,6; 11,1-9)

O objeto de pesquisa desta dissertação são as perícopes de Isaías 7,10-17;8,23-9,6 e 11,1-9. Nelas encontra-se o cerne do pensamento messiânico de Isaías. É importante salientar que o messianismo isaiano parte da concepção de um messias que vem para governar a partir do direito e da justiça, e, assim, estabelecer a paz. O messianismo apresentado por este profeta não parte das esferas de poder da corte, mas dos pequenos e frágeis da sociedade, dotados do espírito de Javé. Há que se destacar que a profecia de Isaías é um divisor de águas no que concerne à teologia messiânica no Reino do Sul, especialmente nos profetas depois dele. Em Isaías, encontra-se a ruptura com as classes dominantes e com um messianismo bélico. A proposta deste profeta aponta para um messias frágil, mas que é movido pelo sopro, pelo movimento de Javé em suas ações. E assim, Isaías abre as portas para compreensão de um messias pobre, como retrata Zacarias, um messias servo, apresentado pelo Dêutero-Isaías, ou quem sabe um messias pastor, como proposto por Miquéias e Ezequiel e bem recebido pelas tradições do primeiro século (Jo 10,10). O messias em Isaías tem nomes e adjetivos : Imanuel, menino, raiz de Jessé, mas não tem rosto, não tem localização geográfica, não se enquadra em nenhum tipo messiânico desde o davidismo de Jerusalém. Este messias pode ser encontrado em qualquer época com qualquer rosto, por isso a importante releitura messiânica apresentada em textos do cristianismo nascente. Muitos deles inspirados na profecia isaiana do 8º. século a.C.

Search for the Production of Narrow tb̅ Resonances in 1.9 fb-1 of pp̅ Collisions at √s=1.96 TeV

We present new limits on resonant tb production in proton-antiproton collisions at 1.96 TeV, using 1.9 fb^-1 of data recorded with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. We reconstruct a candidate mass in events with a lepton, neutrino candidate, and two or three jets, and search for anomalous tb production as modeled by W'->tb. We set a new limit on a right-handed W' with standard model-like coupling, excluding any mass below 800 GeV at 95% C.L. The cross-section for any narrow, resonant tb production between 750 and 950 GeV is found to be less than 0.28 pb at 95% C.L. We also present an exclusion of the W' coupling strength versus W' mass over the range 300 to 950 GeV.

Plant latex mediated green synthesis of ZnAl2O4:Dy3+ (1-9 mol%) nanophosphor for white light generation

ZnAl2O4:Dy3+ (1-9 mol%) nanophosphors were synthesized by a simple, cost effective and environmental friendly route using Euphorbia tirucalli plant latex. The structural properties and morphological features of the phosphors were well studied by PXRD, FTIR, SEM and TEM measurements. The luminescent properties of ZnAl2O4:Dy3+ (1-9 mol%) nanophosphors were investigated from the excitation and emission spectra. The phosphor performance was evaluated by color co-ordinates. The values were well located in the near white region as a result it was highly useful for the fabrication of green component in WLEDs. The average particle size was found to be similar to 9-18 nm and same was confirmed by TEM and Scherrer's method. The highest photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) intensity was obtained to be similar to 7 mol% Dy3+ concentration. A single TL glow peak was recorded at 172 degrees C at a warming rate of 2.5 degrees Cs (1). The intensity at 172 degrees C peak increases linearly up to 1 kGy and after that it diminishes. PL intensity was studied with different plant latex concentration (2-8 ml) and highest PL intensity was recorded for similar to 8 ml. The optimized phosphor showed good reusability, low fading and wide range of linearity with gamma-dose hence the phosphor was quite useful in radiation dosimetry. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. 1,9-Pyrazoloanthrone as a Colorimetric and ``Turn-On'' Fluorometric Chemosensor: Structural Implications

A colorimetric and ``turn-on'' fluorescent chemosensor based on 1,9-pyrazoloanthrone specifically for cyanide and fluoride ion detection shows a remarkable solid state reaction when crystals of tetrabutylammonium cyanide and fluoride are brought in physical contact with 1,9-pyrazoloanthrone. X-ray crystal structures of 1,9-pyrazoloanthrone and complexes have been determined, and the ion sensing activity (detection limit of 0.2 and 2 ppb) has been inferred based on spectroscopic and structural features.

Alkyl chain substituted 1,9-pyrazoloanthrones exhibit prominent inhibitory effect on c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)

N-Alkyl substituted pyrazoloanthrone derivatives were synthesized, characterized and tested for their in vitro inhibitory activity over c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK). Among the tested molecules, a few derivatives showed significant inhibitory activity against JNK with minimal off-target effect on other mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAP kinase) family members such as MEK1/2 and MKK3,6. These results suggested that N-alkyl (propyl and butyl) bearing pyrazoloanthrone scaffolds provide promising therapeutic inhibitors for JNK in regulating inflammation associated disorders.
