Estudos multitemporais de dados de sensoriamento remoto dedicam-se ao mapeamento temático de uso da terra em diferentes instâncias de tempo com o objetivo de identificar as mudanças ocorridas em uma região em determinado período. Em sua maioria, os trabalhos de classificação automática supervisionada de imagens de sensoriamento remoto não utilizam um modelo de transformação temporal no processo de classificação. Pesquisas realizadas na última década abriram um importante precedente ao comprovarem que a utilização de um modelo de conhecimento sobre a dinâmica da região (modelo de transformação temporal), baseado em Cadeias de Markov Fuzzy (CMF), possibilita resultados superiores aos produzidos pelos classificadores supervisionados monotemporais. Desta forma, o presente trabalho enfoca um dos aspectos desta abordagem pouco investigados: a combinação de CMF de intervalos de tempo curtos para classificar imagens de períodos longos. A área de estudo utilizada nos experimentos é um remanescente florestal situado no município de Londrina-PR e que abrange todo o limite do Parque Estadual Mata dos Godoy. Como dados de entrada, são utilizadas cinco imagens do satélite Landsat 5 TM com intervalo temporal de cinco anos. De uma forma geral, verificou-se, a partir dos resultados experimentais, que o uso das Cadeias de Markov Fuzzy contribuiu significativamente para a melhoria do desempenho do processo de classificação automática em imagens orbitais multitemporais, quando comparado com uma classificação monotemporal. Ainda, pôde-se observar que as classificações com base em matrizes estimadas para períodos curtos sempre apresentaram resultados superiores aos das classificações com base em matrizes estimadas para períodos longos. Também, que a superioridade da estimação direta frente à extrapolação se reduz com o aumento da distância temporal. Os resultados do presente trabalho poderão servir de motivação para a criação de sistemas automáticos de classificação de imagens multitemporais. O potencial de sua aplicação se justifica pela aceleração do processo de monitoramento do uso e cobertura da terra, considerando a melhoria obtida frente a classificações supervisionadas tradicionais.

The Santos Basin is located in the Brazilian continental margin and includes the coast of Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro states. Its northern limit is the Campos Basin through the High of Cabo Frio and the southern one with the Pelotas Basin through the Platform of Florianópolis, totaling an area of approximately 350,000 square kilometers in a water depth of 3,000 m. The Paranapanema Lineament has WNW / ESE direction, and extends from the area filled by the Paraná Basin, on the border between the states of Sao Paulo and Parana, lasting up to near the ocean floor along with the fracture zone of Rio de Janeiro. The Capricorn Lineament is a feature inherited from the separation between the continents of Africa and South America, and is the main structural feature NW / SE of the Santos Basin center-south region. These two structures together with other ones with continental origin may be associated with structural features in the sediments from the Santos Basin. This work aims to characterize the structures operating in the central portion of the Santos Basin based on subsurface data in the offshore area (2D seismic) together with data from the surface of the continental basement in a way to correlate the Santos Basin structures with the continental regional traits. This data interpolation showed that the structural features of the continent operates on the submerged zone, the seismic sections show these structural trends for the Paranapanema Lineament / Fracture Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Capricorn Lineament and two fault zones that exhibit structures typical of a transfer zone

O protótipo de uma interface gráfica para análise de imagens SAR (radar de abertura sintética - da sigla em inglês (Synthetic Aperture Radar) vem sendo desenvolvido e aperfeiçoado. Em seu estágio atual, a ferramenta é capaz de extrair o espectro direcional de ondas e o campo de ventos de imagens ERS 1&2. Dentre as diversas abordagens empregadas no desenvolvimento do protótipo, pode-se citar a avaliação da metodologia atualmente utilizada na interpretação das imagens. Neste sentido, é apresentada uma proposta de geração de imagens SAR sintéticas, de forma a viabilizar a avaliação do método de extração de parâmetros meteo-oceanográficos a partir do acoplamento do simulador de imagens com o interpretador utilizado no protótipo. Uma comparação detalhada entre os valores empregados para simulação e os resultados sacados da interface torna possível identificar possíveis deficiências e indicar aperfeiçoamentos ao método. Desta forma, o presente trabalho, além de discutir o protótipo para análise de imagens SAR, apresenta o desenvolvimento do acoplamento do simulador de imagens. Os resultados obtidos indicam que o acoplamento atingiu parcialmente seu objetivo apresentando bons resultados na interpretação das direções. Porém, ainda há algumas questões a serem avaliadas para a obtenção de resultados mais consistentes.

Em linhas gerais, este trabalho aborda os temas de armazenamento de grandes volumes de imagens no formato DICOM, e a recuperação das mesmas com base em informações associadas a estas imagens (metadados independentes do conteúdo), informações obtidas na fase da interpretação das imagens (metadados descritivos de conteúdo), ou usando informações visuais que foram anotadas nas imagens ou extraídas das mesmas, por médicos especialistas em imagens médicas (metadados dependentes do conteúdo). Este trabalho foi desenvolvido com o propósito de elaborar uma modelagem conceitual que permita a descrição dos dados relevantes de imagens no formato DICOM, de maneira a facilitar a recuperação das mesmas posteriormente. As classes pertencentes ao modelo conceitual, decorrentes dessa modelagem, viabilizam a documentação de imagens médicas estáticas no formato DICOM. Visando o armazenamento de um grande volume de imagens médicas por um longo período de tempo, e considerando o desenvolvimento de uma solução economicamente viável para as instituições que provêm diagnóstico médico por imagens, o modelo propõe o armazenamento das imagens em um ambiente separado do banco de dados. Portanto, este trabalho apresenta uma solução que gerencia a localização das imagens em mídias on-line, near-line e off-line. Este gerenciamento mantém o banco de dados atualizado quanto à localização atual das imagens, mantém as imagens armazenadas e distribuídas em mídias conforme a disponibilidade dos recursos físicos de armazenamento, e auxilia na recuperação das imagens. Este modelo serviu como base para a implementação de um sistema protótipo que possibilita a descrição e a recuperação de imagens DICOM. Os resultados obtidos através da implementação do sistema protótipo, em termos de armazenamento, recuperação e gerenciamento da localização das imagens nos diferentes ambientes (online, near-line e off-line), são apresentados e discutidos.

Esta investigação procurou problematizar a relação fotografia e cidade, a partir da análise e da interpretação das imagens fotográficas de Porto Alegre veiculadas através dos álbuns editados nas décadas de 1920 e 1930. A partir de metodologia de análisequantitativa e qualitativa, tentou-se verificar a construção de uma visualidade de cidade calcado num imaginário de modernidade urbana. Por um lado, percorreu-se as páginas dos álbuns, tal flâneur percorre as ruas da cidade, buscando a tessitura de uma narrativa orientada pela disposição das imagens e pela relação entre as mesmas no interior de cada conjunto. Para cada um dos três álbuns, nessa direção, foi identificada uma narrativa, denominada olhar dirigido, olhar detido e olhar passageiro. Por outro lado, buscou-se identificar padrões de recorrência temática e formal na totalidade da amostra estudada, partindo-se do pressuposto de que o viés quantitativo permitiria visualizar a formação de sub-conjuntos orientados pela escolha dos motivos fotografados e pela escolha dos atributos estéticos e técnicos ao fotografá-los. As imagens fotográficas, assim, foram interpretadas a partir da relação entre visibilidade e invisibilidade, na qual elementos dissonantes do imaginário em voga são excluídos da cena fotografada, ao passo que outros elementos são valorizados como forma de enaltecer a visualidade propugnada. Por meio da seleção de determinadas imagens e da reunião das mesmas em uma coleção, os álbuns fotográficos, os produtores visuais deram a ver e fizeram ver uma Porto Alegre de feição moderna. Dessa forma, contribuíram para a construção e a veiculação de um imaginário de modernidade urbana, ao mesmo tempo em que contribuíram para enaltecer a memória de uma cidade moderna e propagar o esquecimento de uma cidade de traços coloniais que ainda se mantinham no espaço urbano.

The city is the privileged place construction of social and political life, and the gathering of social groups. Meeting place, the diversity and possibilities. But the urban universe which cities belong is not a homogeneous whole. There are spaces demarcated and valued ideologically creating antithetical images about places that are now recognized as violent or dangerous. Peripheral urban situations of unprivileged add to theprejudices to the origin of place within the neighborlyallotments José Sarney and Novo Horizonte (Japan Slum) / Natal-RN, which are reproduced in narratives of everyday life. Spatial divisions are exploited, mixed and repeated to maintain social distances through rites of separations and dichotomies such as neighborhood/joint housing, allotment/slum and the people of the high place/the people of the down place. Social categories such as buraco(hole) and cabras (goats) are evoked to interpret the world of violence and places regarded as dangerous. The prominence of hypermasculinity and perception of children and adolescents living on the outer elements are brought up to the interpretation of images evoked in interviews with residents and their neighbors

The scope of this study directs an investigation in search of how the blind person learns knowledge at school mediated by the image in context of an inclusive education and how it can be (or is) triggered by the adaptation of images to the tactile seizure of the blind person and his correlative process of reading. To achieve this intent we choose a qualitative approach of research and opted for the modality of case study, based on the empirical field of a public school in the city of Cruzeta, RN and as a the main subject a congenitally blind female student enrolled in high school there, focusing, often, on the discipline of geography in its words mapping. Our procedures for construction of data are directly involved to the documentary analysis of open reflective interview and observation. The base guiding theory of our assessments is located in the current understanding about the human psychological development of its educational process inside an inclusive perspective, of contemporary conceptions about the visual disability as well of image as a cultural product. Accordingly, the human person is a concrete subject, whose development is deeply marked by the culture, historically built by human society. This subject regardless of his specific features, grasping the world in an interactive and immediate way, internalising and producing culture. In this thinking, we believe that the blind person perceives in multiple senses the stimuli of his environment and acts in the world toward his integration into the social environment. The image as a product of culture, historically and socially determined, appears as a sign conventionally used as an icon that in itself concentrates knowledge of which the student who does not realize visually himself and his surroundings cannot be excluded. In this direction, the inclusive educational process must build conditions of access to knowledge for all students without distinction, including access to the interpretation of the images originally intended for the seizure strictly visual to other perceptive models. Based in this theory and adopting principles of content analysis, we circulated inside the interpretation of the data constructed from the analysis of documents, from the subject speeches, from records of the observation made in the classroom and other notes of the field daily. In the search for pictures on the school contents, adapted to the tactile seizure of blind student, was seen little and not systematic in practice and teaching at the school. It showed us the itinerary of the student life marked by a succession of supports, most of the time inappropriate and pioneers in cooling the construction of her autonomy. It also showed us the tensions and contradictions of a school environment, supposedly inclusive, that stumbles in search of its intent, in the attitudinal and cumulative barriers brought, because of its aggravating maintenance. These findings arose of crossing data around of a categorization that gives importance to 1) Concepts regarding the school inclusion, 2) Elements of the school organization, educational proposal and teaching practice, 3) Meaning of the visual image as the object of knowledge, 4) Perception in multiple senses and 5) Development and learning of the blind person before impositions of the social environment. In light of these findings we infer that it must be guaranteed to the disabled person removal of the attitudinal barriers that are against his full development and the construction of his autonomy. In that sense, should be given opportunity to the student with visual disability, similarly to all students, not only access to school, but also the dynamics of a school life efficient, that means the seizure of knowledge in all its modalities, including the imagery. To that end, there is a need of the continued training of teachers, construction of a support network in response to all needs of students, and the opportunity to development of reading skills beyond a perspective eminently focused in the sight

In the passage of life, the labyrinth of songs and corners are propitious ways for a better comprehension, perception and incorporation of learnings that emerge from our subjectiveness in a magic caught by senses. Eyesight, taste, hearing, touch and smell in communication with the world, put us in front of cultural diversities. The ludicity accumulated by experiences promote the flow of hilarious and concrete discoveries that express themselves in work and leisure demonstrations. Such reflections emerge indicators to the problematic construction centralized in the incorporation of cultural experience knowledge to the formation process and professional interventions in this rule and area. From this significant problematic, aiming to deepen studies, we favored leisure as field of investigative production in full expansion. This, for sure, was an exercise of qualification that guided us through meander of education and made us dip into studies about the corporeity. A research in which the scenery was painted and constructed with the complicity of the culture lived with shine, colors, rhythm and drummings of one of the most present cultural cycles: carnival. Recognized as a stimulant for beauty, participation, socialization, and helped us to enter in the essence of gestures and expressions of corporeity, to think, elaborate and socialize a critic-scientific knowledge which, appropriating from the rhythm of colors, of sounds, of tonalities, of senses and of meanings impregnated in the web of life. All these things seduced the researcher, making imagination flow amid ludic-creative dialogues with the imaginary of researchers creation and production in the rule and area of leisure, education and corporeity. Option that made us outline as objective to investigate and interpret how leisure teachers-researchers, from their studies, researches and interventions, locate and incorporate the knowledge from cultural experience to the formation process and intervention of professionals in this rule and in this area, emphasizing the contributions from this knowledge to fence and qualify this praxis. So, as living each cultural scenery, each epistemological contribution was feeding the production with images of the different versions of the Brazilian breedings, creating and raising expectations and new discoveries and newcomers. With the seriousness of a scientific study, we lived an xxiii academic experience with complex intensity, rigor and coherence, eliminating, step by step, the risks and limitations always present in a work of this magnitude. However, we weren t, even for one moment, alone. Our epistemic regard always maintained mediated by the principles of a methodological approach - the Etnomethodology, that while central guide provided us clues to unveil the lived world by our people-playful , in a universe of 15 members, that allowed themselves to comprehend, comment, analyze. This way, grasping the object in interactions arised and provoked by narrative interview, it was systematically dialected by (re) interpretation of images and formulations of people-playful, enriched by their beliefs, myths, conceptions and rituals inherent to knowledge from cultural experience, which each one attuned with Brazilian and international history, in a mixture of senses echoed from songs and tales. Inspired in drummings and percussions, clothing and choreographies of gestures and expressions, in mixtures produced in unit interactions in the multiplicity shown as necessary requests to the totality of life, with ludicity the rescue of the past, the conquest of present and the construction of future was the axle guide. This rich process of scientific creation made us realize that is possible qualify and empower the praxis in the rule and area of leisure incorporating the knowledge from cultural experience. What also becomes possible is the recuperation of objective revolutionaries and changing conditions of praxis itself with the view of strengthening and triggerment of vital elements in the rule and area of leisure. We also reaffirm that from this praxis emerge elements necessary to human formation in plenitude, by the appropriation of knowledge that guide the facing of challenges of a complex and plural world that valorize education, corporeity and leisure

The present work aimed the elaboration of an environmental study focused on the hotel sector in order to present an analysis of the environmental aspects of Ponta Negra Beach, in Natal, RN, Brazil and also the aspects of the small and medium hotels existing in this area. By means of this work, it is possible to elaborate a model of a simplified System of Environmental Management which can attend to the exigencies required by NBR ISO 14001: 2004, as well as to present economical viability and possibility to be implemented in a way that hotels may converge to the sustainable environmental development of the tourism in Ponta Negra Beach. The research methodology presents itself divided into three items: execution of the environmental characterization of Ponta Negra Beach, by way of technical visits and interpretation of satellite images and cartograms of the main environmental characteristics of the region; execution of the work already made concerning the development, application and interpretation of the evaluation of the environmental aspects of each hotel, considering the hotels and the period of data collection, these used in evaluation, research instrument and a description of the procedure utilized for the analysis of the collected data and the utilized methodology for the elaboration of a model of a simplified System of Environmental Management. In a general way, it has been concluded that the practices executed by hotels in Ponta Negra Beach are impact-like and harmful to the environment. The simple implementation of analysis procedures and control of the environmental aspects could suggestively contribute to the reduction of environmental impacts promoted by the hotel section at this beach and in the nearby areas. It had been noticed that the study contributed to the sensitization of managers concerning the environmental problems since, in many other times, the detected problem was, in fact, the non-acquaintance about the environmental aspects and impacts from those hotels administrators, because of the lack of surveys and studies about the theme. It had also been noticed the arousing of a possible environmental attitude from some managers
