Multichannel distribution strategy for electrical equipment marketing

The thesis examines System Integration and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) channel in the St. Petersburg drives market. The aim of the study was to increase understanding the relationship between OEM and SI and producers, problems and ongoing trends. The collected data was analyzed in order to find out which features of a power electronic drive product exercise a significant influence for the Russian companies decision. An essential part of this study was interviews as primary information sources, organized with SI and OEM companies which represented the basic SPb industry segments. The wholesalers and end users are left out from the analysis. Supplier Evaluation on the Standard Material and Component Markets in the Electronic Manufacturing Equipment Industry

Työn tavoitteena oli arvioida ja selvittää toimittajasuhteeseen vaikuttavia tekijöitä JOT Automation Group Oyj.n ja sen alihankkijoiden välisessä yhteistyössä ja muodostaa yrityksen kilpailukykyä parantava toimittaja-arviointiprosessi. Työssä keskityttiin tarkastelemaan yleisillä materiaali- ja komponenttimarkkinoilla toimivia toimittajia elektroniikkateollisuuden tuotantojärjestelmien valmistuksessa. Ensin tutustuttiin toimittajasuhdetta ja sen arviointia käsitelleeseen kirjallisuuteen. Teorian tueksi tehtiin haastatteluja ja kartoitettiin ensisijaisia tarpeita ja tavoitteita arviointiprosessille. Valmis prosessi testattiin käytännössä kahden eri case-esimerkin avulla. Prosessista muodostui kahteen eri työkaluun jakautunut kokonaisuus, joista auditointi arvioi toimittajan kyvykkyyttä vastatta sille asetettuihin vaatimuksiin. Toimittajan suorituskyvyn mittaaminen puolestaan testaa ja vertaa jatkuvasti toiminnan todellista tasoa auditoinnissa saatuihin tuloksiin. Työ sisältää selvityksen ja ohjeistuksen toimittaja-arviointiprosessin käytöstä. Prosessin käyttö alentaa toimittajaan kohdistuvaa materiaalien saatavuuteen ja hankintaan liittyviä riskejä. Esimerkeistä saadut kokemukset osoittivat, että prosessin avulla päästään pureutumaan tärkeisiin ydinalueisiin ja kehittämään niitä sekä toimittajalle, että ostajayritykselle edullisella tavalla. Toimittaja-arviointiprosessista kehittyy toimintatapa yrityksen ja sen toimittajan välisen suhteen ylläpitämiseksi.

Standardized electrical tests for electrical equipment in road vehicles Case: Visedo Oy PowerMASTER M-frame

Electrical road vehicles were common at the begin of the 20th century but internal combustion engines took a victory from electrical motors in road vehicles. The acknowledgement of the environment, and the price and the availability of the crude oil are reasons for the comeback of the electrical vehicles. Advancement in industrial technology and political atmosphere in EU as the directive 20--20--20, which consists of reducing fossil emission, increasing renewable energy and increasing the energy efficiency, have made the electrification popular again. In this thesis tests based on standard ISO 16750--2 electrical loads for electrical equipment in road vehicles are made for Visedo Oy's PowerMASTER M-frame power electronics device. This device is designed for mainly drive trains in mobile work machines and marine vessels but can be used in other application in its power range which also includes road vehicles. The functionality of the device is tested with preliminary tests which act as a framework for the tests based on standards.

Analysing green supply chain management practices in Brazil's electrical/electronics industry using interpretive structural modelling

Industries need to adopt the environmental management concepts in the traditional supply chain management. The green supply chain management (GSCM) is an established concept to ensure environment-friendly activities in industry. This paper identifies the relationship of driving and dependence that exists between GSCM practices with regard to their adoption within Brazilian electrical/electronic industry with the help of interpretive structural modelling (ISM). From the results, we infer that cooperation with customers for eco-design practice is driving other practices, and this practice acts as a vital role among other practices. Commitment to GSCM from senior managers and cooperation with customers for cleaner production occupy the highest level. © 2013 Copyright Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
