Työn tavoitteena oli luoda asiakassuhteidenhallintakonsepti Internetpelijärjestelmälle sekä luoda asiakassuhteidenhallintaprosessi keskittyen viestintä- ja personointiominaisuuksiin. Lisäksi työssä määritettiin CRM järjestelmän ominaisuudet ja toiminnallisuudet. Työ toteutettiin kvalitatiivisena case tutkimuksena. Tiedot empiiristä tutkimusta varten kerättiin haastattelemalla kohderyhminä olleita asiakkaita sekä case-yrityksen avainhenkilöitä. Työssä selvitettiin ensin suhdemarkkinoinnin perusteet, konsepti sekä asiakassuhteen arvo. Yhteys peliliiketoimintaan sekä Internet peliliiketoiminnan perusteet esitettin. CRM konsepti määriteltiin teoriassa sekä CRM prosessi määritettin perustuen teoreettiseen tutkimukseen sekä empiirisiin tuloksiin. Seuraavaksi luotiin CRM konsepti case-yritykselle perustuen CRM prosessin tuottamaan informaatioon ja asiakastarpeisiin. Asiakassuhteiden hallinta voidaan jakaa kolmeen tasoon - strategiseen, analyyttiseen ja toiminnalliseen. CRM konseptin luominen on tapauskohtainen prosessi. Siihen vaikuttaa voimakkaasti toimiala, millä yritys toimii. Myös asiakastarpeiden kartoituksella on tärkeä merkitys onnistuneen konseptin luomisessa. Sekä kirjallisuuteen perustuvat, että empiiriset havainnot painottivat personoinnin ja viestinnän vaikutusta CRM konseptissa.

Business strategy is important to all organizations. Nearly all Fortune 500 firms are implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to improve the execution of their business strategy and to improve integration with its information technology (IT) strategy. Successful implementation of these multi-million dollar software systems are requiring new emphasis on change management and on Business and IT strategic alignment. This paper examines business and IT strategic alignment and seeks to explore whether an ERP implementation can drive business process reengineering and business and IT strategic alignment. An overview of business strategy and strategic alignment are followed by an analysis of ERP. The “As-Is/To-Be” process model is then presented and explained as a simple, but vital tool for improving business strategy, strategic alignment, and ERP implementation success.

My Thesis study was designed to bring to topic certain issues involved with CMC (computer-mediated communication.) Often we are presented with confusing or misleading situations when it comes to expressing our emotions through technological means. It is important that we are aware of certain issues such as the use of emoticons, expressing sarcasm, and the ongoing trend of Internet slang. These various aspects can create confusion in CMC, leading to a loss in translation. My survey study was designed to probe deeper into these issues by asking general questions and by analyzing sample CMC scenarios.

Current economic crisis together with the Internet revolution has had direct impacts on the franchise sector of Spain: in particular on its unique communication network. The aim of this research is to analyse how Spanish franchise companies have adapted to these changes through its corporate communications management. We want to determine whether the management of communications is ideal to the growth and consolidation of companies in the market. Corporate communications plans and organizational structures were analyzed to verify whether or not information technology (i.e. the use of the Internet) is maximized: the communications aspect being a critical area of company growth. We found that most franchise companies surveyed had adapted well to the changes in information technology, despite economic challenges. The Internet as a communications tool has been limited to its utility as a “bulletin board” for information. The marketing advantage of Internet communication, or its use as an avenue for customer exchange and exchange of goods and services has yet to be maximized. Future research may look into the details of how companies are able to maximize the communications-marketing advantage that Online/Internet can contribute to the franchise sector.

In this study, we showed various approachs implemented in Artificial Neural Networks for network resources management and Internet congestion control. Through a training process, Neural Networks can determine nonlinear relationships in a data set by associating the corresponding outputs to input patterns. Therefore, the application of these networks to Traffic Engineering can help achieve its general objective: “intelligent” agents or systems capable of adapting dataflow according to available resources. In this article, we analyze the opportunity and feasibility to apply Artificial Neural Networks to a number of tasks related to Traffic Engineering. In previous sections, we present the basics of each one of these disciplines, which are associated to Artificial Intelligence and Computer Networks respectively.
