El CP Bonavilla estuvo inmerso en la experiencia de la reforma. Durante el curso 91-92 y 92-93 realiza el Proyecto TRADE 'Creación de un Departamento de Transversales' que se encarga de impulsar los temas transversales creando comisiones de trabajo para iniciar su introducción sistemática en el currículo. Se presenta la propuesta de trabajo para el curso 1999-2000 y la propuesta de educación para la salud, así como la propuesta de trabajo de la comisión de educación para la salud en el curso 1999-2000..

The Influence of Geological Process on Interpreting Ediacaran Fossils in the Catalina Formation, Bonavista Peninsula, Newfoundland

Understanding the nature of the earliest complex fossils has presented many challenges over the past century since Billings first described Ediacaran fossils from Newfoundland in 1872. Previous studies have documented abundant Ediacaran fossils in the Bonavista Peninsula of Newfoundland. This thesis focuses on the H14 surface north of Catalina, which contains a nearly monospecific assemblage that includes hundreds of specimens of the rangeomorph, Fractofusus andersoni. Three factors need to be considered when trying to interpret these organisms. The first of these three factors is structural deformation. The area has undergone deformation during the formation of the Appalachian orogenic belt. This has distorted both fossil shape and orientation, requiring retrodeformation to restore the shapes and relationships of fossils to their original form. Two additional taphonomic factors influencing fossil visibility are: partly or completely ash covered fossils and the removal of fossil impressions from the bedding plane by modern weathering. These processes hinder acceptance of some previously published interpretations.

La experiencia de Llenguajocs es una actividad global, que implica a todo el centro de educación infantil y primaria. Se basa en un montaje de talleres por donde pasar niños de tres hasta doce años durante una seman. También se considera importante la participación de las familias en el juego de lengua, porque a estas edades el referente de la familia resulta importante para que sea un proceso de aprendizaje coherente y significativo con los objetivos propuestos.

Recuperación por individualización dirigida : técnica de recuperación y avance, experiencia analítica en tercero de EGB.

Intentar demostrar o rebatir el que un profesor, en su aula, pueda diagnosticar y tratar la recuperación de sus alumnos por 'individualización dirigida'. 36 alumnos de tercero de EGB de un colegio del suburbio Bonavista en Tarragona. Análisis de los objetivos y contenidos de las orientaciones pedagógicas para tercero de EGB. Traducir ambas finalidades en 'contenidos a medir' usando el 'criterio de jueces'. Construcción de una prueba que mida en qué punto se encuentra cada alumno. Se aplican las pruebas y se comprueba su fiabilidad. Se realiza un diagnóstico individualizado. Construcción de un plan de actividades para la recuperacion de cada alumno. Realización de esas actividades por cada niño. Aplicación final de las pruebas y comprobación de las hipótesis iniciales. Prueba inicial y prueba final de las siguientes áreas: Lenguaje, Matemáticas, Sociales y Naturales. Se aplica la escala de dibujo y el Test colectivo de inteligencia para escolares de V. García, el Test de lectura oral de Fernández Huerta y la Escala de Ortografía de Villarejo. Se utilizan las orientaciones pedagógicas para Enseñanza Primaria, publicadas en el BOE el 8 de diciembre de 1970. Cuatro editoriales de libros de texto escolares. Tablas de puntuación para cada test. Validez facial de las pruebas y fiabilidad calculada con el método Hoyt, que discrimina a la vez a los sujetos y a los ítems o elementos. La fiabilidad es corregida según la fórmula de Spearman-Brown. La individualización dirigida, tal y como se ha planteado, se muestra muy positiva. Con este sistema, se detentan en yodos los alumnos, dadas sus característics, rendimientos satisfactorios, aunque no siempre suficientes. Con esta investigación se demuestra que es posible recuperar y avanzar, y la promoción respecto al proceso de recuperación es compatible. El autor señala las pautas para desarrollar este sistema en cualquier otro nivel educativo.

Con las manos en la tierra : el huerto como herramienta educativa

Se trata de un reportaje sobre una experiencia llevada a cabo por el colegio público Bonavista, de Ontinyent (La Vall d´Albaida, de Valencia), con alumnos de Infantil y Primaria. El proyecto consiste que el alumnado en el huerto escolar no sólo aprende tareas relacionadas con las labores agrícolas, sino que éste se convierte en un espacio de aprendizaje de contenidos de todas las materias.

Exploring individuals' experiences of time-sensitive practice in rural Newfoundland and Labrador: a qualitative study

Rural residents of NL face some of the most complex and challenging mental health issues including depression, schizophrenia, and risk of suicide with inadequate and hard to access treatment services. Due to the increasing demands for mental health services, government officials have been emphasizing the need for more responsive and person-centered services to meet client needs. Time-sensitive counselling, an alternative approach to long-term counselling, provides more timely and focused interventions. Mental Health services in Bonavista, a rural community in NL, recently began offering time-sensitive counselling services to its residents, entitled the “Change Clinic.” This phenomenological qualitative research study explored individuals’ experiences of time-sensitive counselling services as offered by mental health services in Bonavista. The results of this research study are detailed and suggest that time-sensitive counselling services can assist in meeting the service needs of rural residents of NL.
