Im Text wird die Niederdruckplasmabehandlung thematisiert. Besonders der Aufbau, Ablauf und die Einflussfaktoren der Niederdruckplasmabehandlung werden aufgezeigt, aber auch die Vor- und Nachteile des Verfahrens werden beleuchtet.

L’autora estudia amb tot detall les restes humanes fòssils pre-neandertalianes i neandertalianes del Mediterrani Occidental. Aquestes restes són escasses i fragmentàries, però l’acuradíssim estudi de cada una d’elles ha portat a la redacció d’aquesta obra monumental, amb unes conclusions breus però innovadores

La immersió en el CP Felip Bauçà : estudi d'uns resultats. 'La inmersión en el CP Felip Bauçà : estudio de unos resultados'.

Se presenta el resultado obtenido con la aplicación del programa de inmersión en el CP Felip Bauçà. Los resultados son una constatación de la idoneidad de éste método para conseguir unos buenos resultados en el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua por parte de una gran mayoría de los alumnos. Se pretende animar a otras escuelas para realizar la enseñanza en catalán o para que pongan en marcha un programa de inmersión. El programa de inmersión ha sido pensado para la enseñanza de niños y niñas de habla castellana.

No Haus Like Bau

The project consists of a live performance taking the 2005 IKEA riot as the starting point for a speculative history of a fictional future, culminating in a choreographed re-enactment of the original event. It is accompanied by a film series explores the possibility of collective action emerging from the capitalist relations inherent in the consumer riot. The performance, staged at the Berlin Biennale, continues this research into re-enactment and post-1989 politics, using a stage set made of flatpack furniture. Using the aesthetics of Modernism and the avant garde, the project transposes early twentieth century utopian ideology to a present day setting where mass uprisings are motivated by cheap commodities. By re-evaluating biomechanics and Bauhaus theatre theory, these explorations of consumerism and revolution propose that the mechanized movement developed in conjunction with industrial labour survives as a historical re-enactment in the wake of manufacturing work in the west. In the absence of a visual language apt to the contemporary, No Haus Like Bau uses re-enactment as a retrogarde tactic. Its purpose on the one hand is to invoke trajectories for alternate futures that never materialized at an originary moment. On the other hand, the clash of past forms with present content serves to accentuate the historical changes that have thrown into question these forms. Rather than reflecting the present, the projection of the past into a fictional future aims to destabilize the dominant narrative that suggests the current configuration of art, politics and human nature has always been this way. The project has been widely exhibited internationally and supported by Film London and Arts Council England. A theoretical essay on re-enactment as a strategy for performance has been published in Art Papers and in Memory [MIT]. The project also formed the basis of a solo exhibition at Te Tuhi Art Centre, Auckland.

Bau und Entwicklung eines Applikators zur Verabreichung hyperpolarisierter Gase in der MRT der Lunge

Im Rahmen meiner Dissertation habe ich gemäß dem Medizinproduktegesetz ein MR-kompatibles Verabreichungsgerät entwickelt, um Patienten hyperpolarisierte Gas Boli (He-3, Xe-129) als Kontrasgas zur MRT der Lunge zu applizieren. Das Gerät wurde dazu optimiert, die Gase oder Gasmischungen (z. B. HP Gas + N2) in definierten Mengen und zu definierten Zeitpunkten während der Inspiration mit hoher Reproduzierbarkeit und Zuverlässigkeit zu verabreichen, ohne dabei die MR-Qualität zu beeinträchtigen. Aus Sicherheitsgründen und zur späteren Datenanalyse werden die Atemflusskurven der Patienten kontinuierlich angezeigt und aufgezeichnet. Ein Kolbenkompressor ist integriert, um die gesamte gespeicherte He-3-Menge nutzen zu können. Weiterhin ist es möglich, die Polarisation vor Ort zu bestimmen und das abgeatmete He-3 zur späteren Rückgewinnung aufzufangen. Diese Auffangeffizienz konnte durch Untersuchungen mit He-4 (als He-3-Ersatz) gesteigert werden.rnDie ersten MR-Aufnahmen von 10 gesunden Probanden wurden mit diesem Aufbau imrnRahmen einer klinischen Studie durchgeführt. Die Analyse der bestimmten MR-Parameter Signal-Rausch-Verhältnis (SNR), Sauerstoffpartialdruck (pO2), Scheinbarer Diffusionskoeffizient (ADC=apparent diffusion coefficient) sowie die Signalanstiegszeit (rise-time) zeigt eine deutlich bessere Reproduzierbarkeit bei der Verabreichung des He-3 mit dem Applikators anstelle eines Tedlarbags (= kleine heliumdichte Plastiktüte).
