Introduction: Autohemotherapy is a type of treatment that have acquired an opposite role and have presented its efficiency strived by the medical community for many reasons. In this study we aimed to evaluate the effects of authohaemotherapy on hematological response. Method: We used Wistar female rats (300g). The study consisted in a control group and a treatment group, blood samples were collected at the first day and at the eighth day after the application. In the both groups we collected 300 μl of blood from each rat through a syringe with a previously prepared solution of 30 μl of sodium citrate 3.2%. In the autohemotherapy group the blood sample was immediately injected in the quadriceps muscle on the back of the thigh hind limb. Rats from the control group did not receive intramuscular blood application. The cellular count was done through flow cytometry and the samples were dosed for immunoglobulin. Results: In the both groups we observed increased production of erytrocites, hemoglobin and platelet (p<0.05). However, there was reduction of basophil in the control group and reduction of lymphocyte, monocyte and neutrophil in the both groups. No effects were observed in IgA, IgG and IgM levels. Conclusion: Autohemotherapy did not influence hematological responses in Wistar female rats.

Jehova's witeness patients deny to receive heterologous blood transfusion even under life risk. They also neither agree with auto transfusion when the their own blood is stored days or weeks before surgery procedures. Percutaneous renal surgery can have complications and, among them, intense hemorrhage that can demand for open surgery. The authors report a case of a 32 year old patient with complete coralliform lithiasis in the right kidney who was submitted to percutaneous renal surgery with removing 400 ml of total blood accompanied subsequently of hemodilution and blood reinfusion by the end of the procedure. A Compact Advanced from Dideco, an italian company, was used for blood recovering during surgery and reinfusing it after the filtration process, centrifugation and washing of red globules. In this particular, the authors describe a technical adaption for blood collection. Both procedures are accepted by Jehova's witness patients, once that the blood is not stored and there is contact with your veined system. This article aim to show a blood capture technical variant in the percutaneous renal surgery, as well as to present a method in similar procedures, once that is not used routinely in urological surgeries.

The ozone therapy is the therapeutic administration of ozone, which can be: subcutaneous (SC), intramuscular (IM) Intradiscal; intracavitary (pleural and peritoneal spaces); intravaginal, intrauretral, in the bladder; ozonated autohemotherapy. This therapy is being increasingly studied in order to help in some treatments and is being proven to be very effective in most cases, especially in acting on disinfection and healing of extensive wounds. There are over 6000 articles on the medical use of ozone in the literature, but the concentration used varies with each author. Most diseases have a positive response because ozone increases tissue oxygenation and metabolism. Discovered in Germany in the nineteenth century, ozone therapy still needs further study to clarify its mode of action and demonstrate its benefits. The objective of this review is to discuss some of the studies in the literature and try to clarify the main directions and forms of action of ozone therapy in medicine, showing the possibilities of getting good results including in veterinary medicine
