Os espaços geográficos, típicos de cada sociedade e de cada época, vão se modificando, e não se pode deixar de refletir sobre o modo como vive a sociedade que os construiu, sem discutir as novas formas de organização social que surgem como um processo e as modificações no meio ambiente. O espaço regional geográfico na organização e no entendimento de seus processos naturais e sociais, desenvolvem-se demarcando suas configurações. Diante do exposto, este texto tem como proposta subsidiar, a partir de um resgate teórico, as configurações ambientais do agreste sergipano no Nordeste do Brasil. Apresenta cunho predominantemente teórico, baseado em autores que tratam da temática, enfocando o fator climático como principal elemento, bem como tabulação e elaboração de dados (gráficos, cartogramas). É contribuição para estudos e políticas públicas no agreste sergipano, inclusive revisando a literatura sobre a concepção de agreste em estudo, com intenção de deixar visível a configuração dessa mesorregião, assim como a investigação do espaço e dinâmica ambiental em nível estadual. Entretanto, é mister perceber as relações sócio-econômicas associadas às transformações do sistema natural.

Cultivares de girassol consorciadas com milho na transição Agreste / Sertão (Agreste/Sertão). O presente trabalho, verificou-se que, em média, o milho consorciado produziu cerca de 3 vezes mais que o girassol solteiro e quase 5 vezes mais que o girassol consorciado.

O presente trabalho objetiva discutir a importância da implantação do Sistema de Controle Interno – SCI na administração pública municipal, expondo a necessidade de sua adoção no âmbito da região do Agreste Meridional de Pernambuco, com o intuito de obter eficiência e eficácia na gestão dos recursos públicos. Ressalta-se, ainda, que para obtenção do sucesso do Sistema de Controle Interno - SCI é indispensável o cumprimento dos procedimentos legais. Pode-se afirmar que, a implantação do SCI é uma ferramenta que possibilita, ao ente público, suporte, apoio e assessoria, uma vez que oferece condições de governar de maneira eficiente, eficaz e efetiva, através da disponibilização de informações confiáveis em tempo hábil, respeitando os programas governamentais e resultando numa excelente conduta de gestão. Consequentemente, o gestor terá uma condição mais privilegiada, no sentido de que poderá auferir entendimentos conclusivos sobre questões específicas relacionadas à sua administração, propiciando, assim, efeitos qualitativos para a sociedade. O estudo revela também os procedimentos que foram adotados pelas administrações municipais a partir da Resolução TC nº 001/2009, instituída pelo Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Pernambuco, que disciplina sobre a criação, a implantação, a manutenção e a coordenação de Sistemas de Controle Interno nos Poderes Municipais, fazendo valer o prescrito nos artigos 31 e 74 da Carta Magna.

Este trabalho tem por finalidade apresentar uma visão sobre a viabilidade da metropolização do Agreste Central de Pernambuco. Para tanto, trata-se aqui de apresentar uma análise inicial sobre o atual estágio da globalização os seus efeitos e formas de sobrevivência dos pequenos centros produtivos neste constante e metamórfico processo. Trata ainda dos processos de regionalização, passando-se pela sua conceituação até as formas mais recentes desse fenômeno, alcançando-se a metropolização como alternativa de centros urbanos para atingir um novo patamar social, político, econômico e cosmopolita, que melhor se adéqua à sua realidade. É apresentada neste trabalho, a situação atual do Agreste Central de Pernambuco, sob diversos aspectos, especialmente quanto à economia local, que é a mola propulsora da região, e o principal argumento daqueles que defendem a sua metropolização. Para tanto, fazse necessário analisar, também, o recente processo de interiorização do desenvolvimento por que passa o Brasil, e, em especial, o Estado de Pernambuco. É feita, ainda, uma avaliação histórica, sócio-econômica e política das principais cidades desta região, que são Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, Toritama e Caruaru, com foco nesta última, que, por vocação, seria a cidade sede da pretensa Região Metropolitana do Agreste Central de Pernambuco. Em seguida, é feita uma análise de interação das cidades envolvidas, e os dados são comparados com as três principais regiões metropolitanas do interior do País. É traçado um paralelo entre o atual pólo de desenvolvimento e os prováveis benefícios da pretensa região metropolitana, c, por fim, analisada a percepção dos Agentes Políticos, sobre o tema, para se apresentar a visão deste trabalho sobre a viabilidade da metropolização da região estudada, c as propostas altcmativas.

A administração da educação pública sergipana se tem submetido as determinações do contexto histórico-estrutural do estado, as quais têm reduzido as escolas públicas a meros espaços de manobras político-partidárias. As direções das instituições escolares são ocupadas, via de regra, por pessoas arbitrariamente indicadas pelo Estado, que estão deixando fluir até a clientela a ideologia da classe dominante. Na hegemonia em curso, seu papel tem sido o de reforço à evasão e seletividade da escola pública e o de controlador da distribuição do saber elaborado junto as crianças oriundas das camadas populares. E nesse sentido não se verifica qualquer diferença a partir da habilitação desses administradores. Considerada a escola pública numa perspectiva progressista e dada a insatisfação geral registrada, sobretudo nas escolas estaduais da capital e municipais do interior do estado, sugere-se dentre outras medidas, que todo o processo de formação do educador enfatize sua possibilidade como organizador de propostas pedagógicas coletivas, vinculadas ao movimento de democratização da sociedade. Isto desde as licenciaturas, às escolas normais e programas especiais de preparação do professor leigo, portanto extrapolando o âmbito das discussões sobre uma habilitação do Curso de Pedagogia. Também se propõe a união de forças da sociedade civil e a deflagração de um amplo processo de discussão na sociedade, a ser desenvolvido por etapas (municipal, micro-regional e estadual) tendo em vista a definição de diretrizes para uma política educacional em Sergipe. A mediação que se espera do organizador da escola é o exercício de uma administração de um direito civil básico de todo e cada cidadão sergipano: o domínio competente do saber social acumulado; essa prática ensejará ao diretor de escolas evoluir da postura de intelectual tradicional para a de intelectual progressista.

This work is a study in the Local Productive Arrangement of confections from Agreste of Pernambuco, as a relevant sector in economic and social aspect. This research has as central aim to understand how the inter-organizational relations influence the collective efficiency of arrangement. The theoretical framework employed highlights the approaches that deal with the benefits of business agglomeration for the development of firms and regions. It has discussed the approach of small and medium enter prises and industrial districts (SCHMITZ, 1997), which introduce the concept of col lective efficiency, explaining that only those externalities explained by Marshall (1996) are not sufficient to explain the competitive advantage of enterprises, expanding the idea that organizations achieve competitive advantage not acting alone. To examine the influences of relations in the collective efficiency, it has been taken as analytical perspective theory of social networks (GRANOVETTER, 1973, 1985; BURT, 1992; UZZI, 1997) because it has believe that this approach provides subsi dies for a structural analysis of social relationships in face the behavior of human action. By examining the organizations in a social network, you should understand the reason of this establishment of the relationship, their benefits, and as the information flow takes place and density of links between the actors (Powell; SMITH-DOERR, 1994). As for the methods, this study is characterized as a case study, in according to the purposed objectives, in addition to qualitative method. Also, due to recovering of the historical milestones of the arrangement, it is used a sectional approach with longitudinal perspective (VIEIRA, 2004). The primary and secondary data were used in order to understand the evolutionary process of the sector and their inter-actors re lationships in the arrangement for the promotion of development, for both, was used the contend and documentary analysis technique, respectively (DELLAGNELO ; SILVA, 2005). The approach of social networks has permitted understand that social relationships may extend the collective efficiency of the arrangement, and therefore need to develop policies that encourage the legalization of informal companies in arrangement, by showing up themselves representative. Thus, the relations estab lished in LPA of confections from Agreste of Pernambuco need for more effective mechanisms to broaden the collective efficiency. Therefore, this way as take place has directly benefited only a group of companies that are linked in some way the supportive institutions. So we can conclude that the inter-actor relations have limited the collective efficiency of LPA, being stimulated by the institutions in support only to groups of entrepreneurs, even those that produce external relations for all clustered companies

This thesis has the aim to comprehend the development of the superior graduation in life service and daily scholar of the history teachers in-land of Sergipe. The History Course graduation was realized through the second part of (Projeto de Qualificação Docente-PQD), the so-called, Teaching Qualification Project of the Federal University of Sergipe, first settled in 1998. Eight teachers were chosen for this research with more than (15) fifteen years of teaching in the Fundamental and Medium levels at public schools of our state (Sergipe). This empiric research priviledged oral testimony from them, which (ones) reveled about the memory tragetory of life. Since childhood until the History Course graduation, besides the evidence as Principal of schools as well as the following classes. All of them were interviewed from in-land and they are from very poor families with lack of social economical conditions. Those evidencies point out economic limitations in their different towns, that contributed to the continuous obstacle in the following studies, moreover in the common market. Therefore they still teach in order to believe in who´s at the botton of this business. Their testimony about this history graduation through PQD , gave them new Professional horizons, modifying their pedagogic practice, choosing what is worth into the social space beyond life expectancy. Through the analyses from all the documents and evidence in loco, it was evident that this graduation is not sufficient to change all the acting of teaching. Consequently, the lack of scholar situation still happens because this qualification doesn´t consider the knowledge of the teachers into their contexts. This research could also observe that besides the changing purposes in the suggested common-job by the globalization, the public politics education, is still underdeveloped in-land of Sergipe. According to the educational laws which obliges all tearches should be graduated, it could be observed that nothing changed into their acting. The old curricula don´t give them new possibility in their acting. At last their salaries, poor conditions in their common-job as well as the difficult ways to get to their pos graduation course still contributes to the underdeveloped acting before they´d graduated from the period before of their graduation

Deregulation of the sugar-alcohol sector in the 90s meant that agribusiness firms begin a process of reorganization of their production structures to enhance their abilities to become competitive in the new scenario. This study aims to examine the Production Chain of Sugar cane in Agreste region of Rio Grande do Norte, with studies to contribute to the competitiveness of farmers giving grants for planning and implementing policies, programs and projects, public and / or private. The method used in the study was researching the literature on the history of sugar cane in Brazil, agribusiness management, production chains and competitiveness, in field research used a questionnaire to collect information from farmers. It is concluded that the rural producers of cane sugar in newborns are not competitive and therefore it is necessary policies and / or for private gain in competitiveness of producers and consequently the production chain. In recent decades, ceramic products have become indispensable to the technological development of humanity, occupying important positions in scientific production and consequently in industrial production. One area of the economy that continues to absorb large amounts of the products of this sector is Construction. Among the branches of the ceramic industry, there are the red ceramic industry which is traditionally the basis of that economic sector. Among the reasons for which the red ceramic industry became popular in the country, and specifically in Rio Grande do Norte, is the abundance of this raw material, easily found throughout the national territory. However, it appears that the red ceramic industry has deficiencies in technology and skilled labor, resulting in the production of ceramic goods with low added value. Among the factors that determine the quality of the ceramic products red has the proper formulation of the ceramic mass, the conformation and the firing temperature. Thus, the overall goal of this work is to study the mineralogical and technological properties, two clays from the region of the Wasteland Potiguar industrial ceramist. Therefore, the raw materials were characterized by analysis of Xray diffraction (XRD) analysis, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), particle size analysis (FA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical microscopy (OM ), plasticity index (PI), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The technological properties of the material were analyzed by water absorption tests (AA%) porosity (% PA), the linear shrinkage (RT%), apparent density (MEA), loss on ignition (PF%) and flexural strength three points (TRF)

Algaroba (Prosopis juliflora) is a typical legume from arid and semi arid regions, which is composed by sugar-rich pods and high protein seeds. Phenolic compounds are secondary metabolites recognized as potent bioactive compounds, found in several vegetables.Therefore, the objective of this work is to characterize the algaroba flour in terms of its physicalchemical composition, total phenolic content, antioxidant activity by DPPH and ABTS methods, a-amylase and a-glycosidase inhibition, as well as to analyze its organic compounds by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Three experimental groups were investigated (seeds, seeds and pod together and only pod), which were prepared by oven drying and posterior grinding. Water and ethanol extracts (70, 80, 100% v/v) were prepared and used for functional studies. Organic compounds were detected by using HPLC equipment coupled to mass spectrometer. Results show important physical-chemical differences among the experimental groups, seeds, seeds and pod together and only pod. The algarroba seed flour is high in protein (49.49%) and fat (3.10%), while the pod flour is especially rich in sugar (60.3% to 67.9%). Algaroba phenolics are concentrated in pod flour, mainly in water extracts (1.30 mg GAEQ/100g sample). All seed extracts showed high DPPH activity and maximum antioxidant activity was registered for ethanol 80% extracts (19.81 μM Trolox/g sample). The ABTS activity ranged from 9.73 to 12.74 μM Trolox/g sample. Nearly all the extracts were able to inhibit α-amylase activity mildly (30.50% to 48.80%), while the maximum α-glycosidase inhibition was observed for pod water extracts (81.03%). Algaroba water extracts proven to be especially rich in organic compounds, observed by the high number of chromatographic peaks. Results demonstrate that algaroba is a potential candidate for further investigations concerning its possible functional applications

El Agreste Potiguar es el territorio de Rio Grande do Norte en que más se produce yuca. La formación de ese territorio asociase a la ganadería y al cultivo de algodón y de cultivos de autoconsumo, de entre los cuales, la yuca. En lo concerniente, específicamente al cultivo de la yuca, esa planta siempre ha sido sumamente importante para la subsistencia de los agrestinos , sobre todo, de los pobres. Hasta la década de 1980, la yuca era cultivada en pequeñas parcelas de tierra y era destinada a la fabricación de harina, que juntamente con el frijol, era la base de la alimentación de los trabajadores agrestinos. Además, era bastante útil para la producción de ración para el ganado. A partir de esa década, la actividad mandioquera (cultivo de la yuca con la transformación de ésta en harina y en otros derivados) desencadenada en el Agreste Potiguar empieza a pasar por un proceso de modernización, siendo implementadas transformaciones técnicas y en las relaciones de trabajo, bajo la lógica capitalista. Dentro de esa lógica, el cultivo de la yuca pasa a ser hecho con el uso de máquinas y de abonos químicos; la transformación en harina es actualmente realizada en manufacturas y en industrias de harina, que vienen siendo, cada vez más, marcadas por instrumentos técnicos movidos a electricidad, disminuyendo la necesidad de mano de obra; y la yuca no es más cultivada por los productores con el objetivo primordial de garantizar su subsistencia, pero sí con el de atender a la demanda por materia prima de las manufacturas y de las industrias de harina. De este modo, el objetivo del trabajo es comprender la dinámica de la actividad mandioquera en el Agreste Potiguar, considerando el uso pasado y actual del territorio, la modernización de esa actividad y su contribución al desarrollo del territorio en cuestión. Como procedimientos metodológicos, adoptamos la realización de investigaciones bibliográficas, empíricas (entrevistas y conversaciones) y el análisis de datos secundarios. Finalmente, sabiéndose que el proceso de modernización estudiado sigue la lógica capitalista, concluimos el trabajo afirmando que la modernización de la actividad mandioquera no viene contribuyendo al desarrollo territorial del Agreste Potiguar.

In view of the diversity and the heterogeneity of the existing cities in Brazil, our approach refers to the urban and non-metropolitan areas. Aiming to foment the studies on small cities e to apprehend the sociospatial configuration of the urban environment in such cities, this piece of work elaborates and analyzes the urban profile of the small cities of the Agreste Potiguar region, using as a theoretical reference landmark the production of the urban and regional space, from the decade of 1970 to 2000. Starting from this reference, this piece of work presents an urban sociospatial characterization of the small cities of the Agreste Potiguar region, with emphasis on the economic framework, on the population dynamics, on the main social data, culminating in the main characteristics of the local daily life. The study of the small cities of the Agreste Potiguar region makes it possible the comprehension of the problems that involve the cities of this size, above all, those inserted in economically fragile regions. In the analyzed period, the changes occurred in the productive structure of the State of Rio Grande do Norte triggered a great crisis in the economy of the Agreste Potiguar region. This aspect, allied to the insufficient performance of the public power, contributed to the sprouting of some sociospatial problems, amongst which may be distinguished: the economic fragility, the generalized unemployment, the lack of security and the urban infrastructure absence sufficient to take care of the social demand. Even facing the existing problems, the small cities must be seen as potential spaces, capable to promote the regional development. To do so, it is necessary a process of democratization of the public administration, an ample popular participation and the establishment of a new urban policy, that aims at the social promotion of the individuals, the guarantee of basic necessities and the access to the necessary services to a dignified life
