Background: Untreated Chlamydia trachomatis infections in women can result in disease sequelae such as salpingitis and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), ultimately culminating in tubal occlusion and infertility. Whilst nucleic acid amplification tests can effectively diagnose uncomplicated lower genital tract (LGT) infections, they are not suitable for diagnosing upper genital tract (UGT) pathological sequelae. As a consequence, this study aimed to identify serological markers that can, with a high degree of sensitivity and specificity, discriminate between LGT infections and UGT pathology. Methods: Plasma was collected from 73 women with a history of LGT infection, UGT pathology due to C. trachomatis or no serological evidence of C. trachomatis infection. Western blotting was used to analyse antibody reactivity against extracted chlamydial proteins. Sensitivity and specificity of differential markers were also calculated. Results: Four antigens (CT157, CT423, CT727 and CT396) were identified and found to be capable of discriminating between the infection and disease sequelae state. Sensitivity and specificity calculations showed that our assay for diagnosing LGT infection had a sensitivity and specificity of 75% and 76% respectively, whilst the assay for identifying UGT pathology demonstrated 80% sensitivity and 86% specificity. Conclusions: The use of these assays could potentially facilitate earlier diagnoses in women suffering UGT pathology due to C. trachomatis.

应用表面油流和压力测量技术,结合数值模拟方法研究了超燃冲压发动机侧压式进气道无支板和有支板两种典型工况的基本流动特性.结果表明:由侧壁诱发的后掠激波与底板边界层相互作用,形成一对逆向旋转的漩涡,该漩涡在下游不断发展并偏离底板,在出口截面形成一个低马赫数低总压区;支板的引入增加了压缩率,但同时导致底板与侧壁边界层严重分离,使进气道性能偏离设计工况.

八楞海棠是我国华北地区重要的苹果砧木,河南海棠是选育苹果矮化砧木的良好材料,进行八楞海棠和河南海棠胺芽茎尖培养具有重要的生产实际意义。主要结论如下;1)细胞分裂素和生长素的种类及浓度配比影响分化与增殖; 2)不同物候期的芽对分化增殖也有影响; 3)IBA促进八楞海棠生根。IAA促进河南海棠生根4)不定根起源于维管形成层细胞,其发生、形成与生长素种类。浓度密切相关。结合实验与文献,对蔗糖的作用.PZ和PG的作用,以及试管苗玻璃化现象作了讨论。

Se trata de realizar una revista que implique a todo el profesorado y a la práctica totalidad de los alumnos y que recoja las inquietudes de la comunidad. Los objetivos son fomentar los valores de trabajo, solidaridad, honestidad, respeto y espíritu crítico recogidos del proyecto educativo del centro; mejorar la expresión escrita de los alumnos; proporcionar a alumnos y profesores la posibilidad de expresión plástica y artística en distintos medios; y mejorar la convivencia y las relaciones potenciando el trabajo en equipo. El proyecto se planifica como un paseo por el abecedario donde los niños dibujan las letras y al personaje seleccionado por cada letra, estudian su bibliografía, los títulos de sus obras y algún fragmento, y también elaboran escritos cuya temática empiece por esa letra. El trabajo se desarrolla en equipo y aunque se sitúa en el área de Lengua, engloba las demás áreas. La revista se presenta en la fiesta de San Isidro donde además se realizan juegos de palabras, rastrillo de libros y comics, entre otras actividades. Se evalúa en el tercer trimestre teniendo en cuenta el grado de satisfacción, la valoración del trabajo, los objetivos conseguidos y la mejora de las relaciones personales y de convivencia.

Immunodiagnostic microneedles provide a novel way to extract protein biomarkers from the skin in a minimally invasive manner for analysis in vitro. The technology could overcome challenges in biomarker analysis specifically in solid tissue, which currently often involves invasive biopsies. This study describes the development of a multiplex immunodiagnostic device incorporating mechanisms to detect multiple antigens simultaneously, as well as internal assay controls for result validation. A novel detection method is also proposed. It enables signal detection specifically at microneedle tips and therefore may aid the construction of depth profiles of skin biomarkers. The detection method can be coupled with computerised densitometry for signal quantitation. The antigen specificity, sensitivity and functional stability of the device were assessed against a number of model biomarkers. Detection and analysis of endogenous antigens (interleukins 1α and 6) from the skin using the device was demonstrated. The results were verified using conventional enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. The detection limit of the microneedle device, at ≤10 pg/mL, was at least comparable to conventional plate-based solid-phase enzyme immunoassays.

In this article, it is represented by state variables phase a transmission line which parameters are considered frequency independently and frequency dependent. Based on previous analyses, it is used the reasonable number of p circuits and the number of blocks composed by parallel resistor and inductor for reduction of numerical oscillations. It is analyzed the influence of the increase of the RL parallel blocks in the obtained results. The RL parallel blocks are used for inclusion of the frequency influence in the transmission line longitudinal parameter. It is a simple model that is been used by undergraduate students for simulation of traveling wave phenomena in transmission lines. Considering the model without frequency influence, it is included a representation of the corona effect. Some simulations are carried considering the corona effect and they are compared to the results without this phenomenon.

This manuscript details a technique for estimating gesture accuracy within the context of motion-based health video games using the MICROSOFT KINECT. We created a physical therapy game that requires players to imitate clinically significant reference gestures. Player performance is represented by the degree of similarity between the performed and reference gestures and is quantified by collecting the Euler angles of the player's gestures, converting them to a three-dimensional vector, and comparing the magnitude between the vectors. Lower difference values represent greater gestural correspondence and therefore greater player performance. A group of thirty-one subjects was tested. Subjects achieved gestural correspondence sufficient to complete the game's objectives while also improving their ability to perform reference gestures accurately.

In a context of mass higher education, it is necessary to ensure not only quality but also the relevance of engineering master's programs, namely the appropriateness of the objectives and outcomes to the needs and interests of the program beneficiaries. After a literature review we analyzed the evaluation models of three organizations in Peru: the Board of Evaluation, Accreditation and Certification of the University Education Quality CONEAU, the Institute of Quality and Accreditation of Computing, Engineering and Technology - ICACIT and the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru. The result of this study is a model for relevance evaluation for an engineering master¿s program in Peru.
