Stress relates to the broad and generalized body's responses to various environmental, physical and social situations. It is the force that drives the emotions and motives (desires), but is also the cause of the wear and tear of human existence. This study aims to investigate the stressors in administrative technical servers Univ. Estadual Paulista - UNESP, Bauru, as well as on companies providing service within the perimeter of the campus. Was used as a methodology, literature and field research, a questionnaire was applied in order to reach those goals. The profiles of employees who participated in the survey were: both sexes, adults, young people with different educational levels, varying levels of marital and socioeconomic status. The main stressors mentioned by the employees were: workload, dissatisfaction in the workplace, pressure boss or colleagues, as they bring consequences, fatigue or drowsiness, affecting the work environment and mostly family. Physical symptoms of stress are fatigue, difficulty relaxing and headache, and backache. And the psychological symptoms are verbalized concern, agitation, aggression, dissatisfaction, and forgetfulness and feeling of lack of time. It was concluded that these factors negatively affect the quality of life in the work of these employees, interfering with your work, family and socio-emotional life.

Die letzten Jahrzehnte brachten eine Vielzahl neuer organischen Halbleiter hervor, welche erfolgreich als aktive Materialien in Bauteilen eingesetzt wurden, wie zum Beispiel Feldeffekttransistoren (FET), organische Leuchtdioden (OLED), organischen Photovoltaikzellen (OPV) und Sensoren. Einige dieser Materialien haben, obwohl sich die Technolgie noch in der „Pubertät“ befindet, die minimalen Anforderungen für eine kommerzielle Anwendung erreicht, wobei jedoch vieles noch zu entdecken, erklären und verstehen bleibt. Diese Arbeit beschreibt das Design, die Synthese und Charakterisierung neuartiger halbleitender Polymere mit speziell eingestellten optoelektronischen Eigenschaften, welche effiziente ambipolare oder n-Leitung in OFET’s und OPV’s zeigen. Das Hauptziel wurde dadurch erreicht, dass sowohl die vorteilhaften Eigenschaften des planaren, elektronenarmen heterozyklischen Bausteines Thiadiazolo[3,4-g]quinoxalin als auch von Ethinbrücken, welche den Donor (D) und den Akzeptor (A) in einem D-A-Copolymer verbinden, durch systematische Optimierung ausgenutzt wurden. Neben synthetischen Herausforderungen werden in dieser Arbeit auch detailiiete Untersuchungen der optoelektronischen Eigenschaften der hergestellten konjugierten Polymere und Modellverbindungen dargelegt. Darüber hinaus beschreibt diese Arbeit erstmals ein Beispiel für ein Polymer, welches Dreifachbindungen im Polymerrückgrat enthält, und nahezu eine ausgeglichene ambipolare Ladungsträgerleitung in OFET’s zeigt. Zusätzlich werden gemischt-valente Phenothiazine, verbrückt mittels elektronenarmen pi-Brücken wie etwa Benzo[c][2,1,3]thiadiazol, und deren Elektronentransferprozesse, im Rahmen der Marcus-Hush-Theorie, untersucht.

Purpose. Despite work-related stress is one of the most studied topic in organizational psychology, many aspects as for example the use of different measures (e.g. subjective and objective, qualitative and quantitative) are still under debate. According to this, in order to enhance knowledge concerning which factors and processes contribute to create healthy workplaces, this thesis is composed by four different studies aiming to understand: a) the role of relevant antecedents (e.g. leadership, job demands, work-family conflict, social support etc.) and outcomes (e.g. workplace phobia, absenteeism etc.) of work-related stress; and b) how to manage psychosocial risk factors in the workplace. The studies. The first study focused on how disagreement between supervisors and their employees on leadership style (transformational and transactional) could affect workers well-being and work team variables. The second and third study used both subjective and objective data in order to increase the quality of the reliability of the results gained. Particularly, the second study focused on job demand and its relationship with objective sickness leave. Findings showed that despite there is no direct relationship between these two variables, job demand affects work-family conflict, which in turn affect exhaustion, which leads to absenteeism. The third study analysed the role of a new concept never studied before in organizational settings (workplace phobia), as a health outcome in the JD-R model, demonstrating also its relationship with absenteeism. The last study highlighted the added value of using the mixed methods research approach in order to detect and analyse context-specific job demands which could affects workers’ health. Conclusion. The findings of this thesis answered both to open questions in the scientific literature and to the social request of managing psychosocial risk factors in the workplace in order to enhance workers well-being.

Global data-flow analysis of (constraint) logic programs, which is generally based on abstract interpretation [7], is reaching a comparatively high level of maturity. A natural question is whether it is time for its routine incorporation in standard compilers, something which, beyond a few experimental systems, has not happened to date. Such incorporation arguably makes good sense only if: • the range of applications of global analysis is large enough to justify the additional complication in the compiler, and • global analysis technology can deal with all the features of "practical" languages (e.g., the ISO-Prolog built-ins) and "scales up" for large programs. We present a tutorial overview of a number of concepts and techniques directly related to the issues above, with special emphasis on the first one. In particular, we concéntrate on novel uses of global analysis during program development and debugging, rather than on the more traditional application área of program optimization. The idea of using abstract interpretation for validation and diagnosis has been studied in the context of imperative programming [2] and also of logic programming. The latter work includes issues such as using approximations to reduce the burden posed on programmers by declarative debuggers [6, 3] and automatically generating and checking assertions [4, 5] (which includes the more traditional type checking of strongly typed languages, such as Gódel or Mercury [1, 8, 9]) We also review some solutions for scalability including modular analysis, incremental analysis, and widening. Finally, we discuss solutions for dealing with meta-predicates, side-effects, delay declarations, constraints, dynamic predicates, and other such features which may appear in practical languages. In the discussion we will draw both from the literature and from our experience and that of others in the development and use of the CIAO system analyzer. In order to emphasize the practical aspects of the solutions discussed, the presentation of several concepts will be illustrated by examples run on the CIAO system, which makes extensive use of global analysis and assertions.

El propósito de esta tesis era analizar las consecuencias arquitectónicas de la obsesión orientalista en tres autores de finales del XIX, intentando plantear con ello los fundamentos de lo que llamamos “imaginario” orientalista. Las autores estudiados son, un escritor, Pierre Loti, y dos pintores, Sir Frederic Leighton y Claude Monet, exponentes cada uno de un enfoque particular del orientalismo. Los tres casos estudiados incluyen las casas donde vivieron transformadas ahora en museos abiertos a la curiosidad de cualquiera. El estudio de estos casos nos llevó a acometer una serie de temáticas que se perfilan en el transcurso de la escritura como lo mas importante del trabajo. Estas temáticas son: la construcción de la interioridad, el rol del vacío como entidad material y física en esas arquitecturas, el orden de los objetos y su protagonismo en esos interiores, las categorías ontológicas del habitar en esas viviendas. Estas temáticas de alguna manera fueron enfocadas y realizadas por el “orientalismo” como dispositivos que intervienen poderosamente en los imaginarios relacionados con Oriente… con ramificaciones en las problemáticas políticas, sociales y culturales que estaba viviendo el “sujeto europeo culto” en el advenimiento de la modernidad. ABSTRACT The purpose of this thesis in the first instance was to analyze three expressions of Orientalism from the field of architecture , trying to prove through them as these examples constituted a closure of Orientalist discourse , while they complete the Orientalist imaginary that starts its construction through literature and painting finishing in architecture. Because of this, the case studies comprise a writer, Pierre Loti, and two painters, Sir Frederic Leighton and Claude Monet, each one as an exponent of a different facet of Orientalism. In each case the legacy of these artists has included his house , which now transformed into a museum , it is possible to visit and study despite the time of its construction. The study of these cases allowed on a second instance, to present a number of issues that in the end were the most important thing in this work, these issues deal with problems such as the construction of interiority in the late nineteenth century , the role which the vacuum play as a mental and physical entity in this architecture , the order of the objects and their role in the interiors of the time, the political and social control and discipline of housing space , the ontological categories of dwelling , etc. . All these issues somehow were enhanced by Orientalism , which with their devices intervened powerfully in building an imaginary not only related to East, but also with the political, social and cultural issues , that Europeans were living in the transit to the advent of modernity, and that will put under a critical view all these issues.

On the basis of biographical in-depth interviews with female journalists, we researched the issue of work-family relationship with regard to maternity. Work-family integration is a relevant study ambit from both a gender policy. The paper focuses on the daily press industry in eastern Spain. Results suggest both structural factors (e.g. working conditions, resources, age) and normative ones (e.g. stereotypes, organizational model, the meaning of motherhood) affect the decision to have children. Maternity is the result of a strategy of action on integration. These observations raise the debate about health, equality and productivity in the media industries.

The article exposes the meaning of profession for the journalists and how it affects the work-family reconciliation. The paper focuses on the daily press industry in eastern Spain. The information is collected by 38 biographical in-depth interviews with female journalists. The results show two approaches to define the profession: the personnel and the group one. The first approach shows the personal accomplishment. The second one shows the stereotype of journalist. Both approaches demand dedication. In addition, they are linked to other structural factors of the job (ex-. schedules) that define different labor personal situations (also according to professional and vital trajectories of the journalists). That way, the meaning of profession affects the decision making about the reconciliation.

From a gender perspective, protection and advertising political actions about work-family should promote sharing responsibilities between sexes. Next to political action and specific measures, the project of equal opportunities needs a long-term strategy based on the education on equality. This article proposes the methodologic exposition of a study based on these premises. It facilitates and explains the protocol used for the analysis of the audio-visual advertising campaigns on conciliation emitted by the Woman’s Institute. The evaluation of the actions is focused on the effectiveness from the point of view of mass media. It provides some data that illustrates the proposed study. Finally, it considers the difficulties of the available sources of information.

En las últimas décadas, la conciliación se ha erigido como un tema de preocupación social. Así, en España surgen diversas normativas que tratan de solventar este problema. En concreto, en el año 2007 se promulga la Ley para la Igualdad Efectiva de Mujeres y Hombres (LOIEMH). En ella se contemplan medidas y acciones dirigidas a garantizar la no discriminación por razón de sexo, directa o indirecta, en todos los ámbitos, especialmente la derivada de la maternidad y las obligaciones familiares. Con el objetivo de conocer el grado de aplicabilidad de este precepto y de comparar las condiciones para la conciliación entre los docentes y profesionales del sector publicitario, se realiza un análisis de la información referente a la creación de Unidades de Igualdad y Planes de Igualdad en las universidades españolas que ofrecen estudios de publicidad y encuestas a profesores y empleados del sector publicitario para medir sus niveles de conflicto y su percepción sobre los efectos de los cambios normativos. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto que los entornos universitarios públicos han implantado en mayor medida los preceptos legales vinculados con la conciliación. A su vez, existen diferencias en la consideración del conflicto familiar/laboral entre los docentes y los profesionales: los profesores consideran que la esfera familiar interfiere en la laboral mientras que los publicitarios perciben que el desbordamiento de la esfera laboral hacia la familiar es superior. Ambos tipos de trabajadores perciben entornos laborales poco sensibles a la conciliación y no consideran que la ley haya tenido importantes repercusiones.

El artículo analiza las iniciativas de comunicación relacionadas con la igualdad de oportunidades entre mujeres y hombres. El objetivo es analizar con enfoque de género las acciones realizadas por parte de las instituciones públicas regionales y locales para sensibilizar y promover la conciliación entre la vida familiar y laboral de seis comunidades autónomas (Andalucía, Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana, Galicia, Madrid y País Vasco) y de sus capitales, desde 1999 (cuando se aprueba la ley de conciliación) hasta 2007 (se aprueba la ley de igualdad). La información sobre publicidad convencional fue proporcionada por Infoadex. Para la recogida de otro tipo de iniciativas a través de medios menos convencionales se acudió a cuatro fuentes institucionales: 1) Ayuntamientos de las capitales, como fuente estrictamente local, 2) Diputaciones de la capital de la Comunidad Autónoma, como fuente provincial, 3) Direcciones Generales de la Mujer o instituciones análogas como fuente de información a nivel regional o autonómico y, por último, 4) otras concejalías vinculadas al tema de la corresponsabilidad, cuyo radio de acción también es autonómico. Los resultados, aunque con diferencias entre regiones, reflejan carencias en la cobertura de las acciones que llevan a cuestionar la falta de estrategia política en términos de comunicación, pese a la introducción sistemática de estos objetivos en la agenda internacional (ONU y UE) y del gobierno español. En consecuencia, las campañas publicitarias e iniciativas recogidas contribuyen a la visibilización del problema y al empoderamiento, pero no tanto al objetivo de la paridad.

Desde las últimas décadas, la trayectoria profesional de la mujer y su acceso a cargos directivos ha ganado relevancia como fenómeno de estudio. El presente artículo, aportará el descubrimiento de los diferentes estudios sobre las distintas características y actitudes que dificultan, limitan o impiden el acceso de las mujeres para lograr el potencial laboral máximo que quieran conseguir en las organizaciones y entidades del mercado laboral, y concretamente dentro del sector de la actividad física y el deporte. La metodología seguida en la investigación es cuantitativa y transversal, con una muestra total obtenida de (N = 401). A modo de conclusión de la literatura analizada, se podría resaltar que las oportunidades de trabajo, el acceso o la promoción de las mujeres dentro de una organización o entidad se ven influenciados por las características personales, es decir, de la conciliación del trabajo, la familia y el hogar.
