Aplicação de Al-PILC na adsorção de Cu2+, Ni2+ e Co2+ utilizando modelos físico-químicos de adsorção

Amostra de esmectita pertencente a Serra de Maicuru (Estado do Pará, Norte do Brasil, região amazônica) foi pilarizada com Al13, A Argila pilarizada com alumínio (Al-PILC) foi caracterizada por DRX, MEV e EDS. Para a análise textural foram utilizadas isotermas de adsorção-desorção utilizando o nitrogênio. Este artigo é dirigido ao estudo da adsorção de metais pesados. A adsorção dos íons de Cu2+, Ni2+e Co2+ foi realizadas com a matriz Al-PILC em temperatura ambiente com soluções aquosas contendo os íons metálicos. Os modelos de adsorção adotados foram os de Langmuir, Freundlich e Temkin que foram aplicados aos valores obtidos experimentalmente com regressão linear. A equação de Langmuir foi o melhor modelo de linearização com r = 0,999. A equação de Freundlich apresentou limitações em altas concentrações, mas foram obtidos valores (Kf e n) bastante aceitáveis utilizando este modelo. Os parâmetros foram utilizados para calcular a quantidade de Nf em função de Cs.

The human hand is the focus of inumerous research studies. Human individuals are capable of performing manual tasks beyond the ability of any other animal. Such large motor ability is due in part to contact surface of the pulp thumb in opposition to the other fingers. Evidences in the literature show that the position of the upper limb influences the ability of hand strength and control. Specifically, the position of the wrist has great influence on the production of pinch strength. The main objective of this study was to investigate the influence of wrist position on the pinch grip with the thumb in opposition to the index finger. Participants of the present study were 21 undergraduate students, 10 men and 11 women. Participants performed a pinch grip task in three wrist positions - maximum flexion, maximum extension and neutral - on two force conditions - 20% and 40% of maximum voluntary contraction (MVC). MVC was measured in two attempts in each of the three positions of the wrist for a period of three seconds, and the trial of the best result was used as the parameter for task performance. In each trial participants maintained the force production at position for 10 seconds. All participants performed each test condition four times, and the first was used as a familiarization trial and discarded from further analysis. In all trials visual feedback online was provided. Results of both group gender showed variability was similar for force production. Men were stronger than women, but this difference was not significant and both produced on the average more strength in the neutral wrist position than in flexion or extension. In the extended position participants were significantly less variable than in the flexion and neutral positions. This work aims to make the closed loop control of a three phase induction motor, through the integration of the following equipment: a frequency inverter, the actuator system; a programmable logic controller (PLC), the controller; an encoder, the velocity sensor, used as a feedback monitoring the control variable and the three-phase induction motor, the plant to be controlled. The control is performed using a Proportional - Integrative - Derivative (PID) approach. The PLC has a help instruction, which performs the auto adjustment of the controller, that instruction is used and confronted with other adjustment methods. There are several types of methods adjustments to the PID controllers, where the empirical methods are addressed in this work. The system is deployed at the Interface and Electro Electronic Control laboratory in the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio Mesquita Filho, Guaratinguetá, São Paulo, then, in the future, this work becomes an experiment to be conducted in the classroom, allowing undergraduate students to develop a greater affinity to the programs used by the PLC as well as studies of undergraduate and graduate works with the help of assembly made

In this work we report the development of a tube amplifier built to be used in magnetic probe diagnostic of plasma. The probe is used to measure the magnetic field in the theta-pinch system presently running in our university. We present the calculations and procedures to determine the configuration of circuits and specify the components of the power supply, the preamp stage and the power stage. The circuit configuration and the characteristics of the components was obtained. A representative model of the system behavior gave the transfer function of the amplifier. Theoretical predictions of frequency response and the feedback effects were compared to the experimental values and showed very good agreement. The amplifier works between a frequency bandwidth of 20 an 30 kHz and supply a maximum power of 12 W

This monograph proposes the implementation of a low cost PID controller utilizing a PIC microcontroller, and its application in a positioning system previously controlled by a dedicated integrated circuit for a positioning system. Applying the closed-loop PID control, the system instability was reduced, and its response was smoother, eliminating vibrations and mechanical wear compared to its response with the dedicated integrated circuit, which has a very limited control action. The actuator of the system is a DC motor, whose speed is controlled by the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique, using a Full-Bridge circuit, allowing the shift of direction of rotation. The utilized microcontroller was the PIC16F684, which has an enhanced PWM module, with its analog converters used as reference and position feedback. The positioning sensor is a multiturn potentiometer coupled to the motor axis by gears. The possibility of programming the PID coefficients in the microcontroller, as well as the adjustment of the sampling rate, allows the implemented system achieving high level of versatility

The effects of stocking density and food restriction in juvenile piapara (Leporinus elongatus) were studied by two experiments. In the first, 88 piaparas juveniles were stocked in three densities (0.13, 0.20 and 0.40 fish L-1) for 70 days. Were evaluated: weight gain, average consumption, specific growth rate and feed conversion. The experiment was conducted in completely randomized design with three treatments (0.13, 0.20 and 0.40 fish L-1) and four replicates. In the second experiment, 84 fish were divided into three treatments (RBD, with 4 replicates): control group (daily food); FDS group (animals fed on weekends) and Res 21 group (animals subjected to food restriction for 21 days). Highest stocking density resulted highest biomass produced. Fish subjected to food restriction for 21 days and animals fed on weekends group, displayed full compensatory growth.
