Vitalidade no centro antigo Teresina, Piauí Praça Marechal Deodoro: uma intervenção contemporânea em área de valor patrimonial

This study deals with the discussions of contemporary interventions in public spaces in areas of heritage value. The product of this dissertation is an Intervention Project to Marechal Deodoro Square located in Teresina/PI center. The starting point for understanding the theme of this study is to investigate the accessibility and vitality of a public space - through relationship between form and uses. The spatial properties of accessibility and visibility as well as the distribution of land use - factors were associated with distinct patterns of vitality - and compared to usage patterns observed in situ and statements from users obtained through the results of the questionnaires. In attention to questions about the building constructed, particularly in historical centers, considers the guidelines to define intervention strategies in the square, consisted in the development of simulations that after evaluation of results of redesign, was chosen the best option to meet the necessary requirements to the performance, considering the spatial properties of integration and visibility that meet these requirements. Therefore, the "Intervention Project" carried out for the Marechal Deodoro Square characterization proposed items are discussed: spatial structure, vegetation, road network, pavements, street furniture and lighting

Biologia alimentar e morfohistologia do tubo digestório do mussum, synbranchus marmoratus, bloch (osteichthyes: synbranchidae) no açude Marechal Dutra Gargalheiras , localizado no semi-árido brasileiro

Food habits and morpho-histology of the digestive tract of marbled swamp eel, Synbranchus marmoratus (Block, 1917) were investigated. The fish samples were captured during August, 2007 to July, 2008 in the Marechal Dutra reservoir, Acari, Rio Grande do Norte. The rain fall data was obtained from EMPARN. The fish captured, were measured, weighed, dissected, eviscerated and individual stomach weights were registered. The stomach contents analyses were carried out based on volumetric method, points, frequency of occurrence and applying the Index of Relative Importance. The degrees of repletion of the stomachs were determined besides the Index of Repletion relating to feeding activity variations and frequency of ingestion during the rainy and dry seasons. The rainfall varied from 0 mm a 335 mm with a mean value of 71.62 mm. Highest rainfall of 335.5 mm was registered in March, 2008 and August to December was the dry period. During the dry period the study species presented high degrees of repletion of the stomachs, with a peak value in the month of September (mean = 4.54; ± SD = 0.56). The minimum mean value of = 3.99 ± SD = 0.25 was registered in the month of May during the rainy period. The stomach contents of S. marmoratus registered show that this fish prefers animals, 78.22% of crustaceans 2.85% of mollusks, 3.25% of fish, 1.4% of insects and 13.5% of semi-digested organic matter, thus characterizing the study species as a carnivore with a preference for crustaceans. The morpho-histological aspects of the digestive tract of S. marmoratus indicate that the mouth is terminal adapted to open widely, thin lips with taste buds, small villiform teeth forming a single series on maxillas, four pairs of branchial arches with short and widely spaced branchial rays. The oesophagus is short and cylindrical with a small diameter. The oesophagus wall is thick with mucas surface and internal parallel folds. The stomach is retilinical in form, presenting cardiac, caecal and pyloric portions. The caecal portion is long and is intermediary in position between the cardiac and pyloric portions. The cardiac portion of the stomach is short and cylindrical formed of simple epithelial cylindrical mucus cells. The caecal portion is long with narrow walls, a big cavity and smaller folds which give rise to gastric glands. The phyloric portion has no glands and primary or secondary mucas folds. The morphohistological aspects of the digestive tract of S. marmoratus indicate its adaptation to a carnivorous feeding habit

Engenharia nos sertões nordestinos: o Gargalheiras, a Barragem Marechal Dutra e a comunidade de Acari, 1909-1958

In Brazil, between the late nineteenth and early decades of the twentieth, polytechnic engineers assumed an important role in discussing the establishment of a modern country. The problem of drought in northeastern Brazil gave the professionals performance, within an interventional process more mounts, the conception plans and measures for the purposeful integration of the territory afflicted. With the foundation of Inspetoria de Obras Contra as Secas (IOCS), in 1909, the actions to combat drought and would be institutionalized, them, studies performed out by technical and scientific committees would be systematically applied in the Brazilian Northeast. So, This work was central objective understand the historical process inplantation of a whole infrastructure of modern character by professional technical and their consequences within the Northeast Geographic space, in specific, in the municipality of Acari in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, in the first half of the twentieth century. The politics of the government, through technical education and scientific engineers polytechnics, would emphasize, during the twentieth century, the building of dams, and irrigation canals, wells, railways, highways, between other elements, that would soon transform the physical space-northeast, specifically, the territory acariense. These works began to contribute to the setting of man backcountry their land, promote the regular practice of agriculture even in periods of drought and, the integration, especially, economic of territory acariense the other producing regions of Rio Grande do Norte and the Northeast as well as promoting the modification of the landscape of the world backcountry. These actions functioned as elements of modernity and progress that transformed the space by favoring by favoring the formation of urban networks (urban) in this space

Temporal distribution and composition of the ichthyoplankton from Leopoldo's Inlet on the Upper Parana River floodplain (Brazil)

Temporal distribution and composition of ichthyoplankton and their relationships with some environmental variables of Leopoldo's Inlet (Ressaco do Leopoldo) on the upper Parana River floodplain, southern Brazil, were analysed. Samples were taken from February 1991 to February 1992, and 3480 larvae were collected. The highest density of larvae was observed in November 1991 (36.79 larvae/ 10 m(3)) at night (night/day ratio 7: 1). Species composition showed a predominance of Characiformes (80%). There was a high density (4.28 larvae/10 m(3)) of Bryconamericus stramineus throughout almost the whole study period, the majority of the species were more frequently collected at night. Pearson's correlation indicated a relationship between larval density, temperature, and pluviometric index. Leopoldo's Inlet, whose ichthyofauna is mainly composed of grazing and resident species. shows favourable conditions for fish reproduction and development.

Elaboração da carta geotécnica de suscetibilidade de um trecho da rodovia marechal rondon - sp-300 (SP, Brasil)

The highways are enterprises of great longitudinal extension that cross several types of lands, that possess different geologic, geomorphologic, pedologic and vegetation conditions. In the environmental management of highways the importance of the use of Engineering Geological Maps of Susceptibility was noticed, for being documents that inter-relates several information of the environment. This way, this research objectified the elaboration of this type of map and the indication of lines of direction for the conservation of the Highway Marechal Rondon - SP-300. For its elaboration the Map of Declivity, the delimited Homogeneous Physiographic Units, the processes of the superficial dynamics mapped and the use of the ground was used. Its elaboration evidenced its importance for the environmental management of highways, in view of the prevention, the monitoring and the correction of the adverse processes that can occur in this type of enterprise.

El espacio literario : su configuración en Adán Buenosayres

A partir de una especulación acerca de la preponderancia de trabajos dedicados al estudio del tiempo frente al espacio y sobre la terminología más precisa acerca de este último, se define la “" o “logotopía" como la lectura del espacio en literatura. Se considera este campo como un aspecto legible e interpretable. Se ve en el espacio un terreno que grandes autores (como Kafka, Marechal y Borges, por ejemplo), han sabido utilizar magistralmente alcanzando -tanto por medio de ilustraciones como por disposiciones tipográficas- un nivel de sugestión que supera el efecto de recepción previsible. El análisis acerca del modo de configuración del espacio en Adán Buenosayres permite demostrar ampliamente que el héroe marechaliano es creatura no sólo temporal sino espacial. Aun más, toda la obra narrativa de Marechal se organiza espacialmente. El espacio genera un conjunto de sistemas. Como la imagen de la cultura, su literatura es megasistema. El espacio es percibido por él en concentrada unidad, en ámbitos articulados, dispuestos en armonía y ensamble. Su combinación de espacios intramundanos y trasmundanos, articuldaos entre sí, no son otra cosa que la proyección de su propia concepción del mundo cristiana, del mundo, obra de un Dios creador.

El friso y los procedimientos desvalorizadores de lo humano en el “Viaje a la oscura ciudad de Cacodelphia"

Si bien el humor en la novela Adán Buenosayres ha sido tratado por numerosos autores, como Eduardo Lanuza, Adolfo Prieto, Ana María Zubieta, entre otros, no se ha ahondado de modo exhaustivo en el estudio de los aspectos netamente satíricos que se observan en el último libro: “Viaje a la Oscura Ciudad de Cacodelphia". Este trabajo analiza la utilización de la técnica compositiva del friso, es decir de la presentación panorámica de multitudes, como procedimiento satírico esencial en la desvalorización de lo humano en el Libro VII. En primer lugar se analiza el concepto de sátira y sus funciones en el texto para centrarse a continuación en la animalización, la vegetalización, la cosificación y la mecanización como los procedimientos desvalorizadores esenciales en la conformación del friso.

Leopoldo Zea y América Latina

Se presentan las diversas dimensiones de la vida de Leopoldo Zea, organizadas como el pensador, el fundador, el descubridor, el constructor, el viajero, el maestro y el pionero. Se revisan los aportes del filósofo mexicano en todos estos rubros, pero se pone particular énfasis en el sentido profundo de su legado, en cuanto instituyó una nueva forma de pensarse lo latinoamericano, definió una serie de temas y problemas centrales, configuró un campo de preocupaciones, rearticuló las tradiciones de pensamiento académicas y extraacadémicas anteriores a él y dotó a América Latina por primera vez de una serie de clásicos, esto es, de una biblioteca para pensarnos y de una red de intercambio intelectual que permitiera reconfigurar el mapa cultural de América Latina así como darnos una nueva genealogía de pensamiento.

Contribuciones de Leopoldo Zea al pensamiento latinoamericano

En el presente trabajo se articulan una serie de ideas en torno a lo que consideramos algunas de las más destacadas contribuciones del maestro Leopoldo Zea al pensamiento latinoamericano. Contribuciones que por numerosas son difíciles de cuantificar pero que, sin embargo, se las puede ubicar a nuestro criterio en cuatro grandes vertientes: 1. En su producción bibliográfica como expresión fundamental del pensamiento latinoamericano; 2. En la enseñanza a través de la formación de gran número de discípulos con aportes al pensamiento filosófico y a la historia de las ideas en América Latina. Aportes vigentes en las corrientes del pensamiento filosófico universal; 3. En su papel como organizador y difusor de los Estudios de América Latina y el Caribe; 4. En su producción hemerográfica como un gran analista de la política latinoamericana y mundial.
