A busca de si numa religião hoasqueira: oralidade, memória e conhecimento na União do Vegetal (UDV)

O presente trabalho apresenta os resultados da pesquisa etnográfica (baseada na perspectiva da participação observante) realizada junto à religião denominada União do Vegetal (UDV), tendo como locus a Região Metropolitana de Belém (PA). Uma religião de origem amazônica, a UDV está classificada como uma das três principais Linhas das Religiões da Ayahuasca, as quais, entre outras similaridades, têm em comum o uso do chá enteógeno derivado da decocção de duas espécies vegetais: o cipó Banisteriopsis caapi (mariri) e a folha Psychotria virídis (chacrona). Apresentando como recorte metodológico questões relativas ao uso da oralidade como modo exclusivo de transmissão dos ensinos, assim como os aspectos e configurações da memória para esse grupo, a pesquisa objetivou investigar de que modo essas categorias e suas inter-relações contribuem para a configuração da cosmovisão desse grupo – como uma forma de contribuir ao quadro das pesquisas sobre religiões e práticas religiosas na Amazônia.

Práticas de Escritas de Si como Espaços de Formação

Que relações podem ser estabelecidas entre o vivido e o lembrado? Que desafios as práticas da escrita de si trazem para a formação? Proponho uma interlocução com trabalhos que venho orientando em que autor/as produzem reflexões que remetem a um modo de relacionarem-se consigo mesmos, enquanto sujeitos do conhecimento do objeto pesquisado, e revelam-se em uma escrita pautada nas mudanças de pensamento. Aporto-me na valorização da narrativa como forma artesanal de comunicação, vinculada à substância viva da existência, que é a experiência; na experiência da escrita literária, razão de ser da própria existência; na experiência como o que nos acontece. Referir-se à experiência vivida é relatar a caminhada da pesquisa, a construção do objeto, caminhos teórico-metodológicos, as considerações. Referir-se ao lembrado é transitar (dançar?) pelo que escapa às formalizações, cada relato é único, próprio, coisa que penetra, contamina, deixa marcas e provoca abertura para quem lê; são relatos do lembrado que vem pela memória e materializa-se em fragmentos materiais deixados por quem pratica uma escrita de si. A relação entre a experiência vivida e o lembrado abre pistas para pensar a formação.

Both the research and the university extension projects and the experiences of the students have an important role for the training of the teachers. Bring these issues of the quotidian aspects in the school to be analyzed by students to favor closer relations between theory and practice considering a specific academics context, historicizing and contextualizing both of them. Added to this, it allows for analyzing didactic issues in the interrelationship between the organizational aspects and the school community aspects. From these aspects, and considering our practice in teaching and researching in the university, we intend to address in this article to analyze theoretical and methodological aspects of research processes and the study aspects which, in our view, are important and add quality in the role of teacher training in both the initial and continuing education. We use the research and the study terms, because we believe that the developments of the both are fundamental to the methodological emphasis of the study process.

Marketing de relacionamento e relações públicas: uma aplicação no serviço de pós-venda da Embraer Executive Jets

The present study aims to investigate the interrelationship between the Relationship Marketing and Public Relations areas, high lighting its strategic value. The main goal is to discuss how the public relations professional can manage the customer loyalty by improving the after-sales services provided, applying it to a specific market such as business a viation. To establish the foundation to support the hypotheses, a revision of the subject literature was made, seeking to break down the barriers between marketing-mainly of relationship and public relations knowledge fields. A consult of the relevant literature was a continuous activity throughout the work. Divided into three chapters, the two first ones of fundamentals concepts, presents an after-sales services scenario, emphasizing the importance of the relationship and the definition of audiences in this area, in addition to a detailed description of the luxury market, a business aviation reality. The third chapter ends the discussion with a relationship proposal for Embraer Executive Jets, through actions based on the studied concepts. By gathering ideas and reflecting about the subject, using them to develop the proposal, a conclusion was resulted: the public relations professional is prepared and essential to build an effective after-sales relationship, since it's concerned about the communication excellence and knows the audiences significance in this process

Análise das enchentes no estado de São Paulo durante a operação verão de 2000 a 2007

With increasing frequency and intensity of climate disasters in Brazil, it is necessary studies on mitigation measures. From this spatialization of areas considered risk becomes essential to assist the public in preventive plans. Floods and flooding are the main types of climatic disasters that hit our country, especially the state of Sao Paulo, mainly by self degree of urbanization. From the data provided by the State Civil Defense was possible to create a database with the localities georelacional occurrences of flooding in the state in which through techniques of GIS (Geographic Information System) enabled the interrelationship and spatialization occurrence of areas affected This will help to determine potential areas of risk and different ways to prevent these disasters

O uso do computador no processo de ensino e aprendizagem: questões de representação social

This paper presents the results of a study aimed at identifying and analyzing the theoretical and methodological principles that guide the practice of teachers in the early years of computer use in the teaching and learning. Specific objectives we seek to identify and analyze the social representations of teachers on the use of computers in teaching and learning. The research took a qualitative approach with a descriptive-explanatory and owned two phases of data collection: a) a questionnaire b) monitoring the daily practice of teachers in a selected school and semi-structured interview. The analysis of data was done through content analysis. Through the interrelationship of the data in the questionnaire, observation and interview, we found that the teachers surveyed have an address that does not match the teaching practice in the use of computers in the educational process. The theoretical expressed by teachers participating in the research meets constructivist beliefs and / or sociointeractionists but teaching practice thins primarily to behavioral assumptions. Observe social issues of representation when the speeches of the participating teachers did not correspond to their practices. Associated with this or as a cause of these conditions have failure, inadequacy or absence of teacher training for the use of computers in the educational process leading to under-utilization of this resource.

A educação rural no México como referência para o Brasil

In the 1940’s and 1950’s the Brazilian government implemented various policies towards the development of rural education adopting innovative orientations experienced in other iberoamerican countries. This article covers a study on the circulation and appropriation of education models seeking to apprehend the implications of the comparative operations by questioning the national processes in their interrelationship with much more ample phenomena of internationalization and globalization. The article uses as source of analysis the document entitled “Rural Education in Mexico” elaborated by Manoel Bergstrom Lourenço Filho, in 1951, and later published in a Brazilian Magazine of Pedagogical Studies, in 1952. The article discusses the narrative construction of this report and the comparing operations which Lourenço Filho has undertook presenting the Mexican education as a model.

Antimicrobial activity of plants infusions on oral fusobacteria and their adherence to human erythrocytes

Periodontal disease is the result of the interrelationship between microbiotic aggression and the host’s organic defence. Amongst the microorganisms involved in periodontopathies, Fusobacterium nucleatum is conspicuous by establishing a link between the initial and final colonizers, besides producing toxic compounds and adhering to the host’s cells. Control of bacterial biofilm can be achieved by use of chemical agents, many of which extracted from plants. Thus the object of this study was to evaluate the inhibitory activity in vitro of some teas, generally taken in a normal diet, on Fusobacterium nucleatum and your adherence to host’s cells. Minimum inhibitory and bactericidal concentrations were established and haemagglutinative test in microplaques was effected. It was ascertained that all plant extracts have inhibitory activity and that infusions of Camellia sinensis (black tea and green tea), Mentha piperita (mint) and Pimpinella anixem (aniseed) added to the bacteria/erythrocyte compound reduced significantly the adherence of microorganisms.

O brincar para conhecer o desenvolvimento de crianças com implante coclear

This research analyses the development of children presented with profound deafness and benefited by the cochlear implant, discovery of great significance in hearing health. The work is based, theoretically, on Winnicott, and methodologically, in anamnesis data and playing on a set of ludic scenes, systematically organized. Ten pre-school children with implants, selected by hospital and homogenization eligibility criteria participate in this study encompassing interviews with parents and playful observation sessions with the children, besides Lynn´s Dolls Structured Game. In the children, the results show immaturity, regression to earlier stages of their development, dependency and behavioral disorders, in particular, those related to language, interrelationship and anxiety. In the parents, family disorientation, partly overcome. The children and family participating are assisted by a multidisciplinary health team, at the hospital where they are attended.

Moda e design: linguagens contemporâneas na construção teórica e crítica

This article aims to contribute to the process of constructing a scientific and critical theory from the interrelationship of design and fashion fields. Accordingly, are not only listed fashion and design issues in contemporaneity and tensions between these two fields, but also stated the language aspects of these two areas. We hope that the approach and the issues addressed here can contribute and collaborate on research studies, discussions and reflections that lead to the deepening of these relations in the constitution of a fashion and design theory.

Caos e complexidade: design de superficie e os novos paradigmas da ciencia

The expressive possibilities within the field of surface design come up with increasingly larger with the emergence of technologies that allow the construction of forms and structures of high complexity such as three-dimensional printing. Establishing a relationship between design and complex systems, this work seeks to address the significant interrelationship of new paradigms of science, designed from concepts such as chaos, complexity and self-organization along with the cyber and parametric design, assuming thus the consequent impact of these in the creation and construction of process surfaces. Starting from the investigation of the applicability of the aforementioned conceptual bases, will be exemplified prospects of surface, produced in the first instance through computer interfaces, assigning the emergence of new creative processes and technology. Furthermore, elucidating biomimetics and its importance in the design of the design as a means of inspiration in complex systems of nature.

The Unique Challenges and Experiences of African¬-American Women Academicians at Predominantly White Institutions

This session addresses the unique challenges of African-American women academicians at predominantly white institutions. After assessing scholarly literature in this area, most research has and continues, to ignore the interrelationship between race, class and gender. This paper builds on existing literature by offering a discourse that addresses various challenges facing these women.

Structural synaptic elements are differentially regulated in superior temporal cortex of schizophrenia patients

Inaccurate wiring and synaptic pathology appear to be major hallmarks of schizophrenia. A variety of gene products involved in synaptic neurotransmission and receptor signaling are differentially expressed in brains of schizophrenia patients. However, synaptic pathology may also develop by improper expression of intra- and extra-cellular structural elements weakening synaptic stability. Therefore, we have investigated transcription of these elements in the left superior temporal gyrus of 10 schizophrenia patients and 10 healthy controls by genome-wide microarrays (Illumina). Fourteen up-regulated and 22 downregulated genes encoding structural elements were chosen from the lists of differentially regulated genes for further qRT-PCR analysis. Almost all genes confirmed by this method were downregulated. Their gene products belonged to vesicle-associated proteins, that is, synaptotagmin 6 and syntaxin 12, to cytoskeletal proteins, like myosin 6, pleckstrin, or to proteins of the extracellular matrix, such as collagens, or laminin C3. Our results underline the pivotal roles of structural genes that control formation and stabilization of pre- and post-synaptic elements or influence axon guidance in schizophrenia. The glial origin of collagen or laminin highlights the close interrelationship between neurons and glial cells in establishment and maintenance of synaptic strength and plasticity. It is hypothesized that abnormal expression of these and related genes has a major impact on the pathophysiology of schizophrenia.
