Aproximações entre as comunidades científica, amadora e escolar: estudando as potencialidades de observatórios astronômicos para a educação em astronomia

This article considers some potential of activities developed in non-formal education in astronomy, like astronomical observatories and other related establishments. This kind of research is less explored in our country. We present, in this text, a model to study possible relations among these kinds of communities: the scientific, the amateur and the professional, applicable in astronomical observatories, in a motion against the local and punctual activities dispersion and pulverization of these establishments, and against the use of common sense to develop their activities, aiming the advancement of the astronomy education and its national research.

O atendimento educacional especializado e o ensino de física para pessoas surdas: uma abordagem qualitativa

The present work discusses the Physics education for deaf students, including the formation of the Physics education professional, the specialized educational service and the participation of translators and interpreters of the Sign Language in this process. We analyzed qualitatively the national policy for specialized education in the inclusive vision, legislation and national opinion related to the teaching profession in Physics. Using documentations, it was possible to identify the limitations and contradictions related to specialized educational service and the teaching and learning process in Physics.

Motivações para a (falta de) escolha pela Licenciatura em Educação Física

The frequent distortion of the teacher education in Physical Education, associating it with technical and sporting aspects, motivated us to initiate a study aimed at understanding the reasons for this misperception. For this, we performed a theoretical study, based on professional formation in Physical Education in Brazil, together with empirical research, located in the lived experience in a training course for teachers of Physical Education. Thus, the views of the students about the reasons for the choice of course, collected in on a questionnaire and literature review, we show the context of lack of choice, rather than a professional identification.

An Activity Theoretical Approach to Designing Curriculum and Instruction That Shift the Means and Ends of History Education

Reformers want history education to help students learn to engage in historical inquiry, read critically across conflicting sources, and engage in civil discussion of controversial issues. How can we help teachers and students shift the roles, norms, and activity in history classrooms to achieve these aims? An activity-theoretical framework suggests the value of explicitly attending to multiple aspects of human activity when designing and presenting reform-oriented pedagogies or curricula. Such attention increases the odds that teachers who implement new approaches or curriculum will achieve significant shifts in the means and ends of history education.

O estágio supervisionado e a educação física no ensino fundamental : Contribuições para a formação profisional

The present study aims to reflect on the importance of supervised internship in Physical Education in the context of elementary education; establishing, therefore, a path of definitions of concepts ranging from the disquieting comprehension regarding the association between theory and practice to the most intricate details of the content to be treated in Physical Education classes, as well as the formative process of the learners who perform the supervised training. Thus, it was possible to build a vigorous dialogue with the different theorists and scholars of both Education and Physical Education. Since then, various thematic issues that punctuate the supervised internship in all its dimensions have aroused

Las prácticas profesionales de formación como experiencias de pasaje y tránsito identitario

El presente artículo tiene por objeto compartir algunas ideas sobre las prácticas profesionales de formación a partir de relatos de estudiantes y referencias teóricas que replantean algunos supuestos generalizados en el campo de la formación profesional. Con la intención de interrogar la imagen que muchas veces se plantea de las prácticas como ámbitos de integración y aplicación de saberes teóricos y procedimentales, los relatos e itinerarios teóricos propuestos en el texto, las muestran como tiempos de formación que suponen el abandono de una posición identitaria conocida -la de ser estudiante- para arriesgar allí otro rostro, otra palabra -la del profesional que quiere llegarse a ser-. En este tránsito se asoma algo del recién llegado, del extranjero, de aquel que emigra por primera vez de la propia casa para explorar otros mundos y dejarse sorprender en la difícil tarea de descubrirse a 'sí mismo' siendo 'otro'. En esta perspectiva, el artículo pretende aportar una mirada que abona la reflexión sobre los procesos de socialización y transmisión cultural que se desarrollan en las prácticas y sobre los efectos que esta experiencia genera en el plano identitario. Como corolario de este desarrollo plantea algunas consideraciones sobre la alternancia como estrategias de formación para el trabajo de claro potencial formativo y de alta complejidad en el plano organizativo y pedagógico

This paper demonstrates the importance of a holistic comprehension of the Earth like a planet that is alive, not only in its Biosphere, looking at the atmosphere-ocean-crust-mantle interactions as its different sectorial expressions (climate, fluid-dynamics, morpho-dynamics, tectonics…) following the solar radiation and nuclear geothermal sources of energy. Human Factor in Resilience Systems

This paper shows the importance of a holistic comprehension of the Earth as a living planet, where man inhabits and is exposed to environmental incidences of different nature. The aim of the paper here summarized is a reflection on all these concepts and scientific considerations related to the important role of men in the handling of natural hazards. Our Planet is an unstable and dynamical system highly sensitive to initial conditions, as proposed by Chaos theory (González-Miranda 2004); it is a complex organic whole, which responds to minimal variations which can affect several natural phenomena such as plate tectonics, solar flares, fluid turbulences, landscape formation, forest fires, growth and migration of populations and biological evolution. This is known as the “butterfly effect” (Lorenz 1972), which means that a small change of the system causes a chain of events leading to large-scale unpredictable consequences. The aim of this work is dwelling on the importance of the knowledge of these natural and catastrophic geological, biological and human systems so much sensible to equilibrium conditions, to prevent, avoid and mend their effects, and to face them in a resilient way

A finalidade deste trabalho é discorrer sobre a contribuição da Escola de Educação Profissional na formação de jovens profissionais, considerando as especificidades desta escola que, por estar inserida na indústria automobilística, procura apresentar os processos de ensino-aprendizagem no desenvolvimento das competências técnicas e comportamentais para atender às necessidades de formação profissional no Brasil. Além disso, identificar a partir da percepção dos recém-egressos se essa formação está focada somente nas necessidades da empresa ou oferece oportunidades em outros segmentos do mercado de trabalho.(AU)
