Identificação de ambientes de sedimentação na Área Metropolitana de Belém a partir de perfis de poço

Esta dissertação apresenta um estudo realizado com base em padrões associados à forma das curvas de perfis geofísicos de poços perfurados para captação de água subterrânea na Região Metropolitana de Belém. O objetivo do estudo foi o reconhecimento de depósitos cenozóicos, bem como a identificação de seus ambientes de sedimentação. Para isto, foram utilizados os perfis de Raios-Gama, Resistência Elétrica e Potencial Espontâneo corridos em 21 poços, cobrindo a profundidade máxima de 300 m. O estudo permitiu identificar dois pacotes de sedimentos: um até a profundidade de 160 m, contendo bastante argila e finas camadas de areia, e o outro abaixo de 160 m, com espessas camadas arenosas. Esses pacotes foram correlacionados com seqüências deposicionais do Cenozóico Inferior descritas por Rossetti (2000), as quais correspondem às formações Pirabas, Barreiras e aos sedimentos Pós-Barreiras e Holocênicos. No pacote superior, a forma das curvas dos perfis mostra padrões que podem ser associados a seqüências transgressivas e regressivas, enquanto no pacote inferior a forma das curvas sugere um ambiente de centro de canal. O estudo demonstra que a metodologia empregada para o reconhecimento dos ambientes de sedimentação pode ser considerada satisfatória quando não há nenhuma outra informação geológica adicional disponível.

Acidentes relacionados ao transporte de petróleo constituem uma ameaça às zonas costeiras de todo o mundo, pois se trata de um evento ecologicamente desastroso podendo causar sérios danos ao meio ambiente. Na costa nordeste do Pará ocorre intenso fluxo de navios e balsas transportando petróleo e derivados, daí a necessidade de estabelecer estratégias de prevenção e gestão dos impactos ambientais ao derrame de óleo para elaboração de planos de emergência. O objetivo deste trabalho é gerar o mapa dos ambientes costeiros e o mapa de índice de sensibilidade ambiental ao derrame de óleo dos ambientes costeiros de uma porção da costa nordeste do Pará. A metodologia consistiu no processamento digital de imagens Landsat ETM+7, associadas aos dados do MDE do SRTM (shuttle radar topography mission) e aos dados de campo, em ambiente de SIG (sistema de informação geográfica). Os resultados permitiram o reconhecimento e a descrição de cinco unidades geomorfológicas e de ambientes sedimentares; identificação e hierarquização de nove índices de sensibilidade ambiental (ISA); além da geração do mapa de índice de sensibilidade ambiental ao derramamento de óleo. As técnicas de sensoriamento remoto e SIG mostraram ser importantes ferramentas no reconhecimento dos ambientes costeiros e geração dos mapas propostos.

Introduction: Individuals born from the 1990’s to accompany technological change course and learn how to use the technological resources that have access before they even learn to read or write. In this sense, the literature considers the digital natives or even 'Google generation'. However, it has been questioned their skills to identify information needs and seeking and use of information in the most varied environments digital information available on the Web. Objectives: To characterize the behavior of information seeking in everyday life of a group of teenage students from a private school in Marilia, Sao Paulo. Methodology: A qualitative study with 30 adolescent students of a private school in Marilia, Sao Paulo. Data collection was accomplished at first by means of a questionnaire, based on the research of Hughes-Hussell and August (2007), containing questions about age, gender, hobbies and everyday tasks, and issues the use of computers and the internet, which allowed determination of the social, economic and cultural rights of respondents. Results: have focused on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to search access and use information. It was suggested that the "Brotherhood of Informatics', an incentive for students to (re) learn the tools of digital communication and make appropriate use of the resources, products and services on the web to search and effective use of information compatible with their needs and that is tied to the ethical and responsible use of technology environments. Conclusions: The results arising from this study will continue through the continuation of the Confraternity of Computing, which became a "thermometer" on the use of digital information environments and the attitude of the students in front of Information and Communication Technologies in the College “Cristo Rei”.

Introduction: Organizations are expending more and more, the spaces electronic / digital (Internet / intranet / extranet) as a way to efficiently manage information and knowledge in the organizational environment. The management of inputs informational and intellectual belongings ranges from the strategic level to the operational level; the results demonstrate the strength of the socialization of organizational strategies. Objective: To reflect on the role of information architecture for the development of electronic spaces / digital in organizational environments. Methodology: Analytical study supported by specialized literature, based on three aspects emphasized by Morville and Rosenfeld (2006) and applied to information architecture: context, content and user studies beyond the search and use of information Choo (2006) which also highlights three aspects: situational dimensions, cognitive needs and emotional reactions. Results: In the context of the Web environment organizations have a large number of sites for brands / products that have mostly no organizational structure or shared navigation. The results show that when a department needs to contact another department must do so in order offline. Conclusion: The information architecture has become essential for the development of management information systems that makes possible to easily find and access data and information, as well as helps in developing distinct hierarchies to structure the distribution of content, promoting developed quality and effectiveness of the management systems.

The usability and accessibility, when applied to digital information environments, provide ease of use and access to information, respectively. Thus, we aim to discuss these concepts and apply them in specific digital environments to the elderly through the documentary and bibliographic study of specific recommendations on projects for elderly users. This study was conducted in conjunction with students at the Universidade Aberta à Terceira Idade (UNATI) - UNESP - Marilia, who assisted in the classification of recommendations for usability and accessibility are essential (Priority 1), important (Priority 2) and optional (Priority 3). The results indicate the importance of this type of study for the digital and social inclusion of older people by facilitating elements of access and use of information, providing the building more inclusive informational architectures. The resulting recommendations can be used as a starting point for the design of digital environments for the elderly in a specific heuristic evaluation, for example. However, it remains important to the application of usability testing with users, including the application to validate these recommendations, since different contexts may arise from the implementation of different elements, resources and information services.

Discusses the interconnections between information management and knowledge management for themanaging of information flows. Starting at a literature review to obtain a grounding that allows clarifythis question. Presents the peculiarities involving the formal flows management [informationmanagement] and informal flows management [knowledge management], as well as factors thatprovide a better understanding in regard to the focus of information management and knowledgemanagement. The efficient information flows management demands the need to deploy the informationand knowledge management to its true effectiveness. We can see that these two modes of managementare interrelated such that, in the absence of a, the other is affected, directly impacting the informationflows management and thus in the organization capacity to create knowledge and make decisions withcompetitive differential.

Information retrieval is a recurrent subject in search of information science. This kind of study aim to improve results in both searches on the Web and in various other digital information environment. In this context, the Iterative Representation model suggested for digital repositories, appears as a differential that changes the paradigm of self-archiving of digital objects, creating a concept of relationship between terms that link the user thought the material deposited in the digital environment. The links effect by the Iterative Representation aided Assisted Folksonomy generate a shaped structure that connects networks, vertically and horizontally, the objects deposited, relying on some kind of structure for representing knowledge of specialty areas and therefore, creating an information network based on knowledge of users. The current nature of World Wide Web (Web), which highlights the collaborative participation of users in some digital information environments, lead to development of guidelines with a focus on Inclusive Digital Information Architecture for a different audiences in multiples informational ambiences. This research proposes guidelines for a inclusive digital information environment, aiming to identify the elements of accessibility that allow the promotion of inclusion digital information, in order to highlight the references of the Architecture of Digital Information, the international recommendations and the structures representation of information (specially accessibility attributes), with the look of Information Science and New Technologies of Information and Communication. The thesis is as to the need to develop methodologies with guidelines that contemplate the elements of digital accessibility focused on the task of the user. The research problem is that actual methodologies and recommendations used for the development of digital information environments do not cover all the elements of accessibility with a focus on user needs. The proposition is to present, through a methodological approach (exploratory and descriptive), a theoretical-methodological proposal to promote elements of digital accessibility to the development of digital information environments, for users with or without special needs. The overall objective of this study is to contribute to the development of inclusive digital information environments, in perspective of union of theories, recommendations and technologies for the development of digital accessibility guidelines. In a theoretical dimension, the research covers a critical review of the specialized literature in the areas of Information Science and Computer Science and, in the applied part, the analysis and development of a proposal of guidelines for the architecture of a digital information environment with accessibility.

The role of the librarian and archivist in school settings is shown, currently in the initial stages. Starting up this hypothesis, the PET of Librarianship of the FFC/UNESP prepared the design in PET at School with a view to submitting importance of these professionals this environment. Thus, it is expected that the performance of the stock of PET Librarianship in schools is another catalytic to the formation of responsible professionals and concerned with the society around them as idealized the political projects of pedagogical courses of Library and Archival of FFC/UNESP. Experiments of this nature bring the discussion of knowledge acquired in the classroom and the possibility of social transformation by information professional.

Information flows are responsible for the dynamics and the interaction between the various sectors of the organization and among individuals who work in it. By mapping performed in internal and external environments of the organization, it is possible to highlight the informational needs of organizational individual, since they depend on data, information and knowledge to perform their actions in the corporate environment. To meet the information needs of organizational individual need to manage the existing information flows, how it can settle and move effectively in the organizational environment. It is argued that the environments and existing information flows in an organization, subsidize the process of organizational competitive intelligence, since they are inputs for decision making and enable the planning and execution of actions in the short, medium and long term.

Media, as contemporary information and communication phenomena, are rarely studied in the field of Information Science field (IS). This article aims to present a reflection on the Media role as information environments that provoke changes in the ecosystem of message creation, information and socially shared knowledge. It points out that the contextualization of informational situations in the media environments facilitates access to information and to knowledge creation, strategically aimed to more efficient mediation possibilities - purpose to be reached by the society and by an entrepreneurial Information Science. IS counts on proper strategies and methodologies for the creation of transversal meta fields of new knowledge for the solution of problems caused by the intersections and social frictions among science, technologies and knowledge, which means an effective contribution of IS to the enhance utilization of media potential.
