The quarrel on the urban intensific use of determined areas of the city is carried through in some levels of the society, which had to the fact to bring direct influences the population that inhabits it. The question to become an area to intensific use, implies in determining that the local infrastructure has the capacity to take care of to a bigger amount of people, inhabitants or passers-by. In the quarter of Ponta Negra, in Natal city (state of RN), its condition of area to intensific use to the municipal Law 27/2000 happened due that it starts to allow a bigger level of occupation of part of the quarter. This law has a direct relation with the installation of a complementary infrastructure in the quarter, to put does not send to its complementation and maintenance, what it takes the consequences that are felt by the population. This work has as main objective the identification of the decurrent significant consequences of the creation of Ponta Negra s Intensific Use Zone, according to vision of the population of the quarter. The way followed for this involves the compatible bibliography research with the subject, analysis of documents that treat on the quarter, mappings of the area in search of a physical characterization and mainly, an application of questionnaire next to local population. In this questionnaire it is the main point of the necessary collection of data to the work, indicating the point of view of the population not only on the negative points, but also on the positive points that had happened since the creation of Intensific Use Zone. The answers indicate problems of natures social, infrastructure and enviromental, compatible with the problems of other areas that had passed the same for process, as point the studied bibliography, indicating imperfections in the planning process and maintenance of Ponta Negra s Intensific Use Zone

The present study makes an analysis of the Development Program of Beekeeping on Rio Grande do Norte, evaluating the model of management implanted for the SEBRAE/RN in the production of bee honey in Rio Grande do Norte; on the basis of the annual reports emitted by the company in 2003, 2004 and 2005 a discerning survey is done in order to identify to the positive points and the possible imperfections that need to be readjusted, or to be substituted for the success of the program; a bibliographical study of the main authors of the subject with the purpose to gound the study, necessary base for the good performance of this work; the study made with the reports identifies some readjustments that need to be corrected, that will be suggested in the end of this study. However the work developed for the SEBRAE/RN is of good quality and the identified negative points do not compromise the good performance of the program, but it can delay the success desired; Despite the studied reports being inconsistent in some points, it can be identified significant improvements with the result of the work developed for the SEBRAE/RN, among others the creation of financial alternatives for the agriculturists who deal with the beekeeping, the employment, income and development of the enterprising capacity of the producers. However, is verified that it would have to exist more efficient ways that made possible a bigger interaction among the managers of the program and the participant public so that the continuous and necessary improvements were made to any well guided project

Currently, it stress it comes negative affecting the life of the people. In this direction, the present dissertação had as purpose to investigate the factors stressor in the environment of teaching work in a private university. For its concretion, bibliographical studies had been carried through, applied questionnaires, which were elaborated in elapsing of this dissertação, and comment of the environment of work of the professors. From the analysis of Spearman, of studies and comments 7 groups of variable had been analyzed, of which three of them if had shown excellent in the sprouting of stress it negative, namely: Environment of Work, characterization of the teaching activity and organization of the time/institucional aspects. From the displayed one, it is observed that the factors most excellent, that influence in the sprouting of stress it negative in the professors are: the imperfections of communication, the wage and the instability how much to horary the load definition attributed to these professionals

Metals with a bcc crystalline structure such as Ti-13V-11Cr-3Al alloys have their physical properties significantly changed through the addition of interstitial elements such as oxygen and nitrogen. These metals can dissolve substantial amounts of interstitial elements forming solid solutions. Mechanical spectroscopy measurements constitute a powerful tool for studying interactions of these interstitial elements with other elements that make up the alloy. From these measurements, it is possible to obtain information regarding diffusion, interstitial concentration, interaction between interstitials, and other imperfections of the crystalline lattice, In this paper, Ti-13V-11Cr-3Al alloys with several amount of nitrogen, in a solid solution, were studied using mechanical spectroscopy (internal friction) measurements. The results presented complex internal friction spectra which were resolved in a series of constituent Debye peaks corresponding to different interactions and interstitial diffusion coefficients. Pre-exponential factors and activation energies were calculated for nitrogen in theses alloys.

The discovery of the superconductivity of MgB(2) was of great importance, because this material is one of the few known binary compounds and has one of the highest critical temperatures (39 degrees K). As MgB(2) is a granular compound, it is fundamentally important to understand the mechanisms of the interaction of the defects and the crystalline lattice, in addition to the eventual processes involving the grain boundaries that compose the material. In this sense, the mechanical spectroscopy measurements constitute a powerful tool for this study, because through them we can obtain important information about phase transitions, the behavior of interstitial or substitutional elements, dislocations, grain boundaries, diffusion, instabilities, and other imperfections of the lattice. For this paper, the samples were prepared using the PIT method and were characterized by density, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, electric resistivity, magnetization, and mechanical spectroscopy. The samples were measured in their as-cast condition and after an ultra-high-vacuum heat treatment. The results showed complex spectra, in which were identified relaxation processes due to dislocation movement, interaction among interstitial elements and dislocations, auto-diffusion, and movement of grain boundaries. Some of these processes disappeared with the heat treatment.

This paper aims to describe the synthesis of the semi-crystalline and crystalline powder of lanthanum doped with zirconium titanate (65/35), LZT through Pechini method. The analysis done by Raman demonstrated that semi-crystalline phase at 550 degrees C and crystalline phase after 600 degrees C were formed. The XRD pattern shows the ZrTiO4 phase formation demonstrating that La substitutions into the lattice take place. The calcined powder at different temperatures shows a semi-crystalline phase presenting photoluminescence effect when processed at low temperatures. From 300 to 400 degrees C a broadband is observed at 563 nm and 568 nm, respectively. Defects creation such as: Zr3+ center dot Vo(center dot center dot) and Ti3+ - V-O(center dot center dot), Zr and Ti replaced by La with vacancy formation, impurities and imperfections contributed to the photoluminescence effect. However, the main emission is due to a reverse Ti4+ -> O2- or/and Zr4+ -> O2- transition that occur within a regular titanate or zirconate eight-fold coordination [BO8-delta], B = Zr4+, Ti4+. Laboratory time-scale experiments were conducted on Carboniferous Limestone gravels from the Mendip Hills area, England, with the purpose of evaluating the release of Rn-222 to the water phase. The specific surface areas of the samples were 4.14 and 1.69 cm g(-1), which provided, respectively, values of 50.6 and 12.7 pCi for the released Rn. These results allowed the calculation of the emanation coefficient of this rock matrix with respect to the release of Rn, where completely different values corresponding to 23% and 6% were found, suggesting that the extent to which grain boundaries or imperfections in aggregates of micro-crystals of calcite intersect the particle surface certainly affects the Rn release. They also permitted the evaluation of models for the generation of Rn in rocks and transfer to water, in order to interpret the radioactivity due to this gas in groundwaters from the karstic aquifer of the Mendip Hills area, where the calculated activities in groundwater based on the values of 23% and 6% for the emanation coefficient were about 51 and 15 times higher than actually measured in groundwater. Therefore, the emanation coefficient in nature is considerably smaller than in the lab experiment, and another factor k (0 < k < 1) may be introduced into the equations related to the modelling, with the aim of adjusting the theoretical-practical results. Fatigue crack initiation occurs at the surface, although sub surface nucleation has also been reported. Localized imperfections like inclusions close to surface and surface small pits can result in crack sources. Coatings are not always beneficial by fatigue point of view too. Mechanical properties of the covering material can change considerably the fatigue behavior of base metal due to residual surface stresses, to micro cracks or to hydrogen embrittlement. This paper is concerned with analysis of electrolytic etch on the fatigue resistance of a 35NCD16 high strength steel in a mechanical condition of (1760 - 1960) MPa, and analysis of electroplated hard chromium effects on the fatigue resistance in a strength condition of 989 MPa. Hardness impression was used as a reference parameter in case of electrolytic etch. In both cases, experimental data showed that fatigue strength of 35NCD16 steel was considerably reduced.
