O estudo aborda o problema da forma de exposio do pensamento filosfico a partir da defesa da forma do ensaio na obra de Theodor W. Adorno. O que se pe em questo o quanto a forma ensastica, em seu esforo de elaborar conceitualmente os dados da experincia particular, capaz de dar conta da atividade filosfica - uma atividade universalista e interessada na determinao dos fundamentos ltimos do real - em um momento histrico no qual no parece ser mais possvel a ela erguer pretenses de sistema. Em seu desenvolvimento este trabalho se volta para a prpria ensastica adorniana e procura mostrar se e em que medida ela escapa do esprito prprio dos sistemas fechados.

A master-oscillator fiber power amplifier (MOPA) system with a 4-m-long Yb3+-doped homemade large mode area (LMA) double-clad fiber is reported. The system emits up to 133.8 W of amplified radiation at a wavelength of 1064 nm and a repetition rate of 100 kHz, limited only by the available pump power. A high-power ytterbium-doped fiber laser (YDFL) with homemade double-clad fiber (DCF) is introduced in this letter. The geometric parameter and laser characteristics of the fiber have been studied. With one-end-pumping scheme, pumped by a high-power laser diode with launching power of 280 W, a maximum continuous wave (CW) output of 110 W is obtained with an optical-to-optical efficiency of 40%.

In this article, we report an all-fiber master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) system, which can provide high repetition rate and nanosecond pulse with diffraction-limit. The system was constructed using a (2 + 1) X 1 multimode combiner. The Q-Switched, LD pumped Nd:YVO4 solid-state laser wets used (is master oscillator. The 976-nm fiber-coupled module is used as pump source. A 10-m long China-made Yb3+-doped D-shape double-clad large-mode-area fiber was used as amplifier fiber. The MOPA produced as much as 20-W average power with nanosecond pulse and near diffraction limited. The pulse duration is maintained at about 15 its during 50-175 kHz. The system employs a simple and compact architecture and is therefore suitable for the use in practical applications such as scientific and military airborne LIDAR and imaging. By use of a laser diode as a pump source, a self-Q-switched laser from a Cr,Nd:YAG crystal is demonstrated. The output Q-switched traces are very stable, the threshold pump power is 3.5 W, the pulse duration is 50 ns, and the slope efficiency is as high as 20%. In addition, the pulse width remains constant while the pulse repetition rate Varies with pump power. A presente dissertao tem como objetivo apresentar duas influentes autoras afro-americanas do sculo XIX, Frances E. W. Harper e Pauline E. Hopkins. Ambas as autoras, atravs de seus romances Iola Leroy, or, Shadows Uplifted (1892) e Contending Forces: a Romance Illustrative of Negro Life North and South (1900) respectivamente, entrelaam fico e histria com o propsito de criar novas alternativas de discurso, afastando-se, portanto, do oficial. Ademais, o presente trabalho prope demonstrar como Frances Harper e Pauline Hopkins fazem uso do espao literrio com a finalidade de escrever a histria do oprimido, permitindo, principalmente, que as mulheres afro-americanas dessem voz as suas experincias e as suas prprias histrias. Assim sendo, a literatura produzida por Frances e Harper e Pauline Hopkins ser analisada como forma de empoderamento da comunidade afro-americana, principalmente como forma de aquisio de poder para as Mulheres Afro-Americanas.

Single-frequency output power of 7.3 W at 2.09 mu m from a monolithic Ho:YAG nonplanar ring oscillator (NPRO) is demonstrated. Resonantly pumped by a Tm-doped fiber laser at 1.91 mu m, the Ho:YAG NPRO produces 71% of slope efficiency with respect to absorbed pump power and nearly diffraction-limited output with a beam quality parameter of M-2 approximate to 1.1.
