En el cultivo de aguacate (Persea americana Mill.) se presentan problemas fitosanitarios importantes dentro de los cuales sobresalen por su relevancia las enfermedades de la raíz. Un fitopatógeno limitante de este cultivo es el oomicete Phytophthora cinnamomi Rands, que puede causar pérdidas hasta del 90%. Por tal razón el principal objetivo del estudio fue generar información acerca de la etiología del agente causal de la pudrición radicular del aguacate utilizando marcadores morfológicos y moleculares, además de proponer alternativas de manejo de carácter biológico que estén enmarcadas dentro de un programa de manejo integrado de la enfermedad. Se realizaron colectas de muestras de suelo en cuatro localidades del departamento de Masaya. La identificación morfológica del patógeno se realizó mediante claves taxonómicas y se confirmó a través de la técnica PCR-RFLP. Se identificó a P. cinnamomi como el principal agente causal de la pudrición radicular del aguacate. Los aislados de P. cinnamomi fueron enfrentados con Trichoderma sp por el método de cultivo dual en cajas Petri con medio PDA. Se determinó el porcentaje de inhibición de crecimiento radial (PICR) a las 72 horas, así como el grado de antagonismo de cada una de las cepas de Trichoderma sp utilizadas en el estudio. Las cepas de Trichoderma al enfrentarlas a aislados del patógeno P. cinnamomi se ubicaron en las Clases 1 y 2 de la escala de evaluación, por lo tanto se consideraron altamente antagonistas. Existe la posibilidad de manejo biológico de las poblaciones de P. cinnamomi con microorganismos antagonistas del género Trichoderma no solamente en agroecosistemas de aguacate, sino también en otros sistemas agrícolas y forestales donde el patógeno esté presente.

Jerked beef, an industrial meat product obtained from beef with the addition of sodium chloride and curing salts and subjected to a maturing and drying process is a typical Brazilian product which has been gradually discovered by the consumer. The replacement of synthetic antioxidants by natural substances with antioxidant potential due to possible side effects discovered by lab tests, consumer health, is being implemented by the meat industry. This study aimed to evaluate the lipid oxidation of jerked beef throughout the storage period by replacing the sodium nitrite by natural extracts of propolis and Yerba Mate. For jerked beef processing brisket was used as raw material processed in 6 different formulations: formulation 1 (control - in nature), formulation 2 (sodium nitrite - NO), formulation 3 (Yerba Mate - EM), formulation 4 (propolis extract - PRO), formulation 5 (sodium nitrite + Yerba Mate - MS + NO), formulation 6 (propolis extract + sodium nitrite - PRO + NO). The raw material was subjected to wet salting, dry salting (tombos), drying at 25°C, packaging and storage in BOD 25°C. Samples of each formulation were taken every 7 days for analysis of lipid oxidation by the TBARS method. In all formulations, were carried out analysis of chemical composition at time zero and sixty days of storage. The water activity analysis and color (L *, a *, b *) was monitored at time zero, thirty and sixty days of storage. The Salmonella spp count, Coliform bacteria, Termotolerant coliforms and coagulase positive staphylococci were taken at time zero and sixty days. The activity of natural antioxidants evaluated shows the decline of lipid oxidation up to 2.5 times compared with the product in natura and presented values with no significant differences between treatments NO and EM, confirming the potential in minimize lipid oxidation of Jerked beef throughout the 60 days of storage. The results also showed that yerba mate has a higher antioxidant capacity compared to the propolis except the PRO + NO formulation. When associated with yerba mate with sodium nitrate, TBARS values become close to values obtained only for the control samples with the addition of sodium nitrite. The proximal composition of the formulations remained within the standards required in the IN nº22/2000 for jerked beef. Samples that differ significantly at 5% are directly related to the established type of formulation. The count of microorganisms was within the standards of the DRC nº12/2001 required for matured meat products. The intensity of the red (a*) decreased with storage time and increase the intensity of yellow (b*) indicates a darkening of the product despite L* also have been increased. These results suggest that yerba mate is a good alternative to meat industry in reducing healing addition salts when associated with another antioxidant.

Starch has properties that make it one of the most studied biopolymers today. It is biodegradable, biocompatible, stable and non-toxic. This work has synthesis of starch and tapioca microparticles, through chemical modification by crosslinking with sodium tripolyphosphate agent in concentrations 7.5 and 15% (m / m). The amylose content was measured for starch and commercial cassava starch at 21.8% and 28.6%, respectively. According to the solubility index, processing in basic medium does not change the solubility of the material, but the addition of crosslinking agent increases this index, which changed from 12.8% for the control unprocessed, to 22.4% for the A5R15 sample. Soluble starch-based materials had a significant increase in the crosslinking density by increasing the concentration of crosslinker, from 1.4 in A5R7,5 sample, to 1.9 in A5R15. The cassava starch-based materials exhibited an opposite behavior: to increase the concentration of crosslinker crosslinking density decreased significantly in F5R7.5 from 2.9, to 1.9 in F5R15 sample. The point of zero charge (PZC) shows that below pH 4 the surface is positively charged. The surface area data is between 3,04 and 1,15 m2.g-1. The pore volume between 2.94 and 1.33 cm3.g-1 and pore size around 1.5 nm. The SEM indicates uneven distribution of microparticles, which are smooth, with no ridges. The maximum adsorption capacity of the materials were tested at pH 7.7 and for A5R15 and CA sample, at pH 2, 5, 6 and 9. It is noted that the processing in basic medium reduces the adsorption capacity of CA and CF in respect fo A and F. The adsorption in A5R15 sample has great dependency on the pH, reaching a value of 587 μg.g-1 in pH 7.7. The samples A5R15 and F5R7,5 adsorbed similar amounts, according to the statistical analysis, and significantly higher than their respective controls and showed lower desorption, indicating that the modification process was effective to control the release of methylene blue. The infrared spectra not show the characteristic bands of the phosphate bonds to the material formed, however, developments in hydroxyl characteristic band suggest modification in the way this group was linked after the reaction. After adsorption, the infrared spectra show different format in the band of hydroxyl. PCA analysis shows that the greatest changes observed in the IR spectra are observed in the region of 3500 cm-1. Thermal analysis showed three thermal events related to dehydration and material degradation. It is observed that the processing increases the temperature to the first mass loss, fixed at 12%, but not observed increased stability due to the presence of crosslinker or process.

Aluminum cans has wide uses and Brazil is among one of the world's largest country at recycling, to provide an option that adds value to raw materials, this paper uses aluminum cans as aluminum source for the production of alumina. Evaluating the use of acid digestions (hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and aqua regia) and basic (potassium hydroxide) to solubilize the aluminum after which will be complexed with 8-hydroxyquinoline at different pH's. By calcination, the complex produces an oxide with metal components with varying proportions depending on the digestion process. The thermal behavior of the complex varies with the morphology and metals present, occurring different events due to these characteristics.

This thesis aimed to evaluate the implementation of the Food Acquisition Program(PAA) through CONAB RN in the period of 2003-2010 with the perception of all agents involved in the implementation of the government program.For the methodological trajectory it was adopted a descriptive bibliographical and documentary approach with triangular qualitative and quantitative, also called evaluative research.The theoretical model was supported by the authors Draibe (2001), Aguilar and Ander-Egg (1994) and Silva(2001), among others, that focused on family farming and evaluation of implementation of public policy having as a category of analysis the size implementation of policy and the latter divided into 10 theoretical dimensions.The universe consisted of three groups: the first were the managers and technicians from CONAB(RN and Brasilia), totaling 15 subjects. The second group was of associations/cooperatives that participated in the programin 2010, totaling a sample in each access of 15 representatives. The third group of subjects totaled with 309 representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations that received donations of food for the same period. Semi-structured interviews and forms were adopted as instruments of data collection.The data were processed qualitatively by the analysis of content (interviews and documents) and quantitatively by means of statistical tests that allowed inferences and adoption of frequencies. Among the key find ingests that the program is not standing as a structure supported by planning. The interests of the performers do not necessarily converge with the objectives of the Food Acquisition Program (PAA). A shockof goals was identified (within the same program) when comparingthe financial agent (Ministry of Rural Development and of Social Development and Fight Against Hunger Ministry r) and the executor, CONAB/RN. Within the assessed dimensions, the most fragileis the sub-managerial decision-making and Organizational Environment and internal assessment, still deserves attention the sizeof logistical and operational Subsystem, as this also proved weak.The focusin the quest toexpand thequantificationof the resultsof theFood Acquisition Program (PAA)by CONAB/RN does forget a quality management focused on what really should be:the compliance with the institutional objectives of the government program.Finally, the perspective for the traded implementation should be re-examined because excessive discretion by managers along with technical staff has characterized there al role of the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) as public policy. We conclude that the implementation model, which apparently aggregates values to the benefitted citizens, has weakened the context of work on family farms having the management model of the implementation process be reviewed by the Federal Government and point too ther paths, which have as a guide line the emancipation and developmentof the field or in the field andat the same time enables the reduction of nutritional deficiency of beneficiaries in a balanced and coherent way

ANTECEDENTES.- Las infecciones urinarias representan un grave problema de salud que afecta a la población en general. En El Tambo representan una de las principales causas de consulta externa y hospitalización. OBJETIVO.- Identificar la prevalencia de infecciones de vías urinarias, agente etiológico, sensibilidad a los antimicrobianos y factores asociados en los habitantes de la comunidad de San Francisco de Cuchocorral, El Tambo 2015. METODOLOGÍA.- El estudio fue descriptivo de corte transversal. El universo fue de 208 habitantes y la muestra de 160 personas de la comunidad. Se realizó el examen elemental y microscópico de orina, el urocultivo y el antibiograma. Previo a la recolección de las muestras, los participantes firmaron el consentimiento o asentimiento informado y llenaron una encuesta. Se analizaron las muestras en el laboratorio de Microbiología de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas. Para relacionar los resultados obtenidos y las variables de estudio se utilizó el programa SPSS V22 y Excel para la estadística descriptiva. RESULTADOS.- La prevalencia de infección urinaria fue del 10%, siendo el 100% de personas con infección del sexo femenino y de ellas el 44% mujeres de 19 – 45 años. Escherichia coli fue el microorganismo más frecuente con el 87,5% y mostró resistencia para Trimetoprim sulfametoxazol y Gentamicina en un 28,6%. Proteus y Klebsiella presentaron resistencia para Ampicilina sulbactam y Fosfomicina en un 100%. CONCLUSIÓN.- Contribuimos con datos epidemiológicos sobre prevalencia de infecciones de vías urinarias, agente etiológico y sensibilidad a los antimicrobianos en los habitantes de la comunidad de San Francisco de Cuchocorral

Atualmente a melhoria da qualidade nos cuidados de saúde implica a passagem de uma prática baseada na experiência para uma baseada na evidência científica; na melhoria tendo por premissa não só o desempenho profissional, mas também os cidadãos como parceiros; de uma qualidade mono-disciplinar, para cuidados partilhados; de uma educação profissional contínua e avaliações de qualidade, para uma gestão da saúde, num contexto de melhoria contínua da qualidade. À Ordem dos Enfermeiros é imputada a defesa da qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem à população. Cabe a cada enfermeiro, individualmente e em coletivo no contexto do seu exercício, refletir, analisar e prosseguir diariamente na procura da excelência do exercício. A gestão da qualidade parte do empenhamento dos profissionais que funcionando como um todo dentro de um núcleo específico com o objetivo de atingirem o mesmo fim, estabelecem estratégias que visem alcançar esse fim. Neste contexto surge a elaboração do Manual / Instruções de Trabalho para a integração e prestação de cuidados dos enfermeiros e alunos de enfermagem no Programa de Saúde Infantil e Juvenil na Unidade de Cuidados de Saúde Personalizados da Baixa da Banheira. Visando a melhoria da articulação, comunicação, continuidade de cuidados, entre a equipa de Enfermagem, pois só em conjunto se poderá desenvolver ações que visem a aquisição dessa qualidade e que contribuam para o desenvolvimento / harmonioso da criança / jovem e sua família.

Chemical admixtures, when properly selected and quantified, play an important role in obtaining adequate slurry systems for quality primary cementing operations. They assure the proper operation of a well and reduce costs attributed to corrective cementing jobs. Controlling the amount lost by filtering through the slurry to permeable areas is one of the most important requirements in an operation, commonly controlled by chemical admixtures, such as carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). However, problems related to temperature, salttolerance and the secundary retarding effect are commonly reported in the literature. According to the scenario described above, the use of an aqueous dispersion of non-ionic poliurethane was proposed to control the filter loss, given its low ionic interaction with the free ions present in the slurries in humid state. Therefore, this study aims at assessing the efficiency of poliurethane to reduce filter loss in different temperature and pressure conditions as well as the synergistic effect with other admixtures. The temperatures and pressures used in laboratory tests simulate the same conditions of oil wells with depths of 500 to 1200 m. The poliurethane showed resistance to thermal degradation and stability in the presence of salts. With the increase in the concentration of the polymer there was a considerable decrease in the volume lost by filtration, and this has been effective even with the increase in temperature

Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o potencial antagônico in vitro de rizobactérias contra Bipolaris sp., importante patógeno causador de manchas foliares na cultura do milho. O método adotado foi o de pareamento de colônias. No centro de placas de Petri contendo BDA e circundadas próximo à borda com as rizobactérias, foi depositado um disco de micélio do patógeno. Estas foram incubadas a 28 ± 2ºC, com fotoperíodo de 12h claro/escuro. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente ao acaso, com seis tratamentos e cinco repetições. As avaliações do crescimento diamétrico (mm) foram diárias, sendo, posteriormente, calculado o Índice de Velocidade de Crescimento Micelial (IVCM), que foi comparado entre os tratamentos pelo teste de Scott-Knott (p-valor ≤ 0.05), utilizando-se o programa SISVAR, versão 5.6. As rizobactérias testadas apresentam mecanismos que inibiram o crescimento micelial in vitro de Bipolaris sp. O isolado P23 apresentou maior potencial de inibição contra o patógeno, diferindo estatisticamente de todos os tratamentos, apresentando potencial de utilização em futuros programas de controle biológico da mancha de Bipolaris do milho.

Vídeo com apresentação do PSE - Programa Saúde na Escola, explicando como a saúde integral da criança e do adolescente é condição necessária para o melhor aproveitamento escolar. O Prof. Miguel dos Reis Cordeiro Neto, fala sobre a necessidade de melhorar o processo de socialização de crianças e adolescentes e como a escola deve interferir a partir da fase secundária do processo de socialização, já que a fase primária é de responsabilidade da família. A partir dessa segunda fase a escola aparece com a função de portas que se abrem para melhor integrar o aluno, formando valores, laços, identidades, enfim, a realidade social é introjetada nessas crianças, produzindo autonomia, independência na vida pessoal.
