Campagne Chalci 79-01 (13/3/1979-31/3/1979): résultats des chalutages

In the line of the Chalci campaigns 78-01 and 78-02, the aim of this campaign too was the trawl exploration of the Ivoirian continental shelf at the depth of 10 to 120 metres.

On tables 1 to 12, daily beach surface temperatures are presented. These temperatures are also ploted on figures 2 to 5 in daily values and in 7, 15, 30 days means. Salinity variations are less important than these of temperature (Fig. 6, 7). It follows that during upwelling period, variations of dynamic height anomaly are closely correlated with temperature (Fig. 6 and 8).

Statistiques de pêche en Lagune Aby (Côte d'Ivoire): évolution de l'effort et des captures de 1979 à 1990

Two kinds of fishing gears insure the exploitation in Aby lagoon: the individual gears are represented essentially by gill nets and collective gears by seines. The number of gill nets varies between 1500 in 1981 and 5600 in 1986. The beach seines, which number varies between 40 and 60, are regularly used. The purse seines (15-30) have been superseded by "syndicat" seines (15) in 1990.

Dix ans de mesures de biomasses de zooplancton a la station cotière d'Abidjan: 1969-1979

Graphs of variations of zooplankton biomasses expressed as ash-free dry weight (i.e. organic matter) are presented for the 1969-1979 period. The graph of the average year shows: an enrichment season from mid-July till mid-November in which the biomass is 2.3 times higher than the rest of the year and characterized by a slight decrease of the biomass in late August or early September. The warm season is divided into a period of moderate biomass from November till February, a period of moderate biomass from November till February and a period of steady decline of the biomass till the start of the upwelling at the end of June.

Summary of fishery statistics, 1979

This fisheries report summarises developments of the year 1979 in the region of the North West Water Authority. It provides catch statistics, rod and line and commercial for salmon and sea trout, fish culture and hatchery operations, restocking with trout and freshwater fish, upstream fish movement recorded at authority fish counters, counts of salmon and sea trout spawning redds, fish mortalities, licences issued, and prosecutions.

Fishery statistics for 1979 are presented for: (1) total production; (2) effort; (3) landings and purchases; (4) monthly percentage composition and average weight of each species caught in gill-nets.

Statistiques de la pêche collective en Lagune Ebrié (1978-1979)

A first treatment of the statistical data of 1978 and 1979 on the collective fishing showed a decrease of total catches in the Ebrié Lagoon. The same diminution was found in the amount of smoked-fish collected in two different places of the lagoon. This fall is due to a smaller effort in the lagoon of the purse-seines in the Abidjan area and a decrease of the catches per unit of effort.

Freshwater Biological Association 1929-1979. The first fifty years

Booklet telling the story of the FBA from its founding in 1929 until its Golden Jubilee in 1979. The booklet aimed to produce a readable account of those aspects of freshwater biology that have been among the main themes of the Association's research, as well as some aspects of its history and the philosophy guiding its foundation. The publication includes many images of the FBA's work and history as well as images and illustrations on lake ecology and applied science.

Tuna Fisheries in the Federated States of Micronesia, 1979-90

The management of tuna fisheries in the Federated States of Micronesia since independence in 1979 is reviewed, noting the development, seasonality, and geographic range of the fisheries. The status of stocks, including trends in catch per unit effort and the approach to setting harvest levels for the major species, are also reviewed. Future developments and management aims are discussed.

Construções de voz na escrita literária: verbos pronominais em Vidas secas

A designação verbo pronominal é bastante recorrente na descrição gramatical e lexicográfica brasileira. Apesar disso, a conceituação e as análises das construções rotuladas assim nem sempre apresentam rigor científico, uma vez que em geral não se esclarecem quais são os critéiros para a inclusão de dada construção no rol dos verbos pronominais. O resultado disso é que estruturas de comportamento semântico e sintático bastantes variados são identificadas como comuns. Este trabalho apresenta uma análise das construções pronominais que aparecem no romance Vidas Secas, do escritor alagoano Graciliano Ramos com a discriminação delas em subtipos semânticos e sintáticos. Para tanto, procedemos ao estudo de processos relacionadas a essas estruturas. São eles: a reflexividade, a passividade, a ergatividade e a medialidade. Antes disso, porém, faz-se uma revisão bibliográfica da descrição das construções pronominais na tradição gramatical e lexicográfica brasileira. São examinados dez gramáticas consagradas e cinco dicionários de ampla circulação. O objetivo desse estudo foi verificar a maneira como as estruturas em questão são tratadas nas referidas obras a fim de julgar a coerência das análises. Tomamos como referencial teórico para a distribuição das construções pronominais os subtipos criados por Kemmer, conforme expostos por Camacho (2003) assim como a análise das construções pronominais de Zorrraquino (1979).

South and West Cumberland Fisheries Advisory Committee 8th January, 1979

This is the report from the South and West Cumberland Fisheries Advisory Committee meeting, which was held on the 8th January, 1979. It covers information on Ravenglass Salmon Garth, South West Cumbria and opencast coal workings. The section on the report by the area fisheries officer on fishing activities includes river conditions and fishing, and an update on Holmwrangle Hatchery which includes stock numbers and fish distribution. Fish disease and biological work undertaken on fish in Ennerdale Lake are also added, as well as numbers of salmon and sea trout stripping from the River Marron for Holmwrangle Hatchery. The Fisheries Advisory Committee was part of the Regional Water Authorities, in this case the North West Water Authority. This preceded the Environment Agency which came into existence in 1996.
