The contemporary Brazilian poetic production is marked by a strong diversity in the forms of expression and the thematic contents that it makes circulate; it is found either turned to the critical reading of the Brazilian poetry���s most traditional repertoire, or more concerned about the research of new expressive models afforded by language. Such constitutive diversity, which operates on the intermediate gradients between these two tendencies, finds itself underlined by the little orthodox practice of the production divulgation and circulation, that appropriated the internet and the poetic performances to compensate the low paper-based edition. What we have is a type of poetic dialectology which identifies the poetry readers group. Verifying the most regular procedures in the construction of the dialectology, through the work of Eucana�� Ferraz and João Cabral, is the objective of this paper.

Diretrizes para preven����o e tratamento da osteoporose induzida por glicocorticoide

Os glicocorticoides (GC) s��o prescritos por praticamente todas as especialidades m��dicas, e cerca de 0,5% da popula����o geral do Reino Unido utiliza esses medicamentos. Com o aumento da sobrevida dos pacientes com doen��as reumatol��gicas, a morbidade secund��ria ao uso dessa medica����o representa um aspecto importante que deve ser considerado no manejo de nossos pacientes. As incid��ncias de fraturas vertebrais e n��o vertebrais s��o elevadas, variando de 30%-50% em pessoas que usam GC por mais de tr��s meses. Assim, a osteoporose e as fraturas por fragilidade devem ser prevenidas e tratadas em todos os pacientes que iniciar��o ou que j�� estejam em uso desses esteroides. Diversas recomenda����es elaboradas por v��rias sociedades internacionais t��m sido descritas na literatura, por��m n��o h�� consenso entre elas. Recentemente, o Americam College of Rheumatology publicou novas recomenda����es, por��m elas s��o fundamentadas na FRAX (WHO Fracture Risk Assessment Tool) para analisar o risco de cada indiv��duo e, dessa maneira, n��o podem ser completamente utilizadas pela popula����o brasileira. Dessa forma, a Comiss��o de Osteoporose e Doen��as Osteometab��licas da Sociedade Brasileira de Reumatologia, em conjunto com a Associa����o M��dica Brasileira e a Associa����o Brasileira de Medicina F��sica e Reabilita����o, implementou as diretrizes brasileiras de osteoporose induzida por glicocorticoide (OPIG), baseando-se na melhor evid��ncia cient��fica dispon��vel e/ou experi��ncia de experts. DESCRI����O DO M��TODO DE COLETA DE EVID��NCIA: A revis��o bibliogr��fica de artigos cient��ficos desta diretriz foi realizada na base de dados MEDLINE. A IDENTIDADE DA MULTID��O NO CULTO CELESTIAL NO APOCALIPSE DE JO��O

João de Patmos, atrav��s de elementos liter��rios e dram��ticos e da estrutura c��nica e lit��rgica, criou no Apocalipse um universo simb��lico espec��fico. As imagens deste universo s��o protagonizadas tanto por seres divinos como tamb��m por pessoas humanas que se encontram exaltadas entre os seres celestiais, cantando e louvando a Deus. Durante o processo da composi����o, o autor da obra se inspirou na tradi����o apocal��ptica e escatol��gica das tradi����es vision��rias merkavah presentes em Ezequiel, Daniel e 1 Enoque, e fez uma leitura pr��pria destas tradi����es que obedece aos seus pr��prios objetivos liter��rios e ��s necessidades dos leitores / ouvintes do escrito. Os seres celestiais e humanos destacados nas imagens, e a presen��a de v��rias conflu��ncias de tradi����es merkavah indicam que o Apocalipse se insere numa vertente da literatura apocal��ptica contempor��nea do escrito. �� not��vel que, tanto na apocal��ptica, em Qumran, na literatura hekhalot como no Apocalipse, h�� ind��cios de uma intensa experi��ncia ext��tica de grupos de culto celestial. O cen��rio de vis��es �� prioritariamente lit��rgico, dentro de um templo celestial. As imagens geradas pela leitura das experi��ncias m��sticas de Ezequiel, 1 Enoque e outros escritos m��sticos eram contempladas e enriquecidas pelas experi��ncias de viagens celestiais de grupos prof��ticos durante cultos terrestres. Nas experi��ncias m��sticas registradas nos fragmentos analisados do Apocalipse de João podem ser percebidas certas fei����es dos viajantes celestiais. Nos seus discursos sobre a vis��o do mundo que contemplam e definem, eles revelam suas cren��as, desafios e expectativas, a sua auto-compreens��o religiosa. Al��m da identidade dos protagonistas dos cultos celestiais percebe-se tamb��m o car��ter e a fun����o altamente criadores do fen��meno ext��tico em geral, como tamb��m, em particular, no Apocalipse de João. O escrito revela e promove uma estrutura do mundo divino-humano completo e perfeito que est�� num movimento cont��nuo, um mundo que, com toda a simbologia inerente, expressa a id��ia de criar, recriar e governar o universo inteiro. Os seres humanos participam ativamente deste universo e cooperam com a fun����o reconstituinte dele. Essa coopera����o na reconstitui����o do mundo tem um car��ter presente e atual, embora a plenitude desta reconstitui����o esteja reservada para o futuro.

Representa����es discursivas de C��mara Cascudo por M��rio de Andrade

This piece of research aims to address the issue on the construction and reconstruction of C��mara Cascudo��s discursive representations in M��rio de Andrade��s discourse. In order to describe, analyze and interpret these representations, we recur to some semantic categories from the Discourse Textual Analysis (DTA) by articulating them with other categories, notably, Grize��s Logic (1996,1997), Text Linguistics and Semantics. Therefore, the purpose is to analyze how these representations are constructed discursively, in written letters, by means of semantic categories such as referentiation, predication, modification, connection and spatial and temporal locations. In the theoretical foundation, proposals of Textual Analysis of Discourses, conceived by the linguist Jean-Michel Adam (1990, 2008a, 2011a), Text Linguistics, Semantics and Logic, focusing, especially, on the phenomenon of discursive representations, are articulated. The research approach is of qualitative nature supported by some quantitative data (OLIVEIRA, 2012); option which makes the analysis richer and comprehensive. As a hypothesis, it is presented the fact that these categories used by M��rio de Andrade, in his discourse, do not only enable the (re)construction of the interlocutor��s images, discursively constructed, but they also provide a multiplicity of information and viewpoints about the RN writer��s personality. The study corpus is constituted of 20 texts written by M��rio de Andrade and sent to C��mara Cascudo between 1924 and 1944, of which 35 fragments were selected and analyzed. However, it can be verified that, in the analyzed corpus, a set of discursive representations is constructed for C��mara Cascudo, from semantic categories proposed for analysis and used in M��rio de Andrade��s discourse. These categories enable to construct and reconstruct the representations that emerge in the texts. Therefore, the analysis points out the construction of a set of different representations, highlighting the representation of the writer, the intellectual and the friend.

USO DE INFORMA����O GEOGR��FICA NA ��REA DE SA��DE

Para a an��lise do uso da informa����o geogr��fica na ��rea de sa��de no Brasil foi realizada uma caracteriza����o deste uso, tomando-se como base a produ����o publicada em dois dos principais peri��dicos da ��rea de sa��de p��blica no Brasil: os Cadernos de Sa��de P��blica, editados pela Escola Nacional de Sa��de P��blica da Funda����o Oswaldo Cruz, e a Revista de Sa��de P��blica da Faculdade de Sa��de P��blica da Universidade da S��o Paulo. As duas s��o as revistas cient��ficas mais freq��entemente utilizadas e est��o vinculadas a duas grandes institui����es que possuem os maiores programas de p��s-gradua����o em sa��de p��blica. S��o indexadas em bases de dados de reconhecimento internacional para as ci��ncias da sa��de, como o MEDLINE, e representam o n��cleo duro da publica����o de textos cient��ficos nacionais[1]. Como universo de an��lise foram selecionados os artigos publicados no per��odo de 1999 at�� 2005, que correspondem aos volumes 15 a 21 dos Cadernos de Sa��de P��blica, e aos volumes 33 a 39 da Revista de Sa��de P��blica. O per��odo analisado refere-se ao momento que a discuss��o sobre espa��o e sa��de foi definitivamente incorporada pelas ��reas de Sa��de e de Geografia no Brasil. Foi neste per��odo que foi constitu��do pela Rede Interagencial de Informa����es para a Sa��de (RIPSA) o Comit�� Tem��tico Interdisciplinar sobre ���An��lise de dados espaciais em sa��de��� (CTI-GEO) em 1999. Neste mesmo ano foram realizados o simp��sio "An��lise de Dados Espaciais em Sa��de: M��todos, Problemas e Aplica����es", pela Escola Nacional de Sa��de P��blica da Funda����o Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ), e o VI Congresso Paulista de Sa��de P��blica, promovido pela Associa����o Paulista de Sa��de P��blica, que apresentou�� como um dos seus eixos tem��ticos o de ���Espa��o e Sa��de���. M��dulo da disciplina optativa "Rede de aten����o: urg��ncias" do Curso de Especializa����o Estrat��gia Sa��de da Fam��lia (2014). Esta disciplina pretende propiciar o desenvolvimento do racioc��nio e a aquisi����o de habilidades, visando melhorar a compet��ncia diante do atendimento a pacientes graves ou na emin��ncia de um evento agudo em qualquer faixa et��ria, o que pode ocorrer em qualquer Unidade B��sica de Sa��de. Pipkii�� Is Widely Expressed In Hematopoietic-derived Cells And May Play A Role In The Expression Of Alpha- And Gamma-globins In K562 Cells.

Characterized for the first time in erythrocytes, phosphatidylinositol phosphate kinases (PIP kinases) belong to a family of enzymes that generate various lipid messengers and participate in several cellular processes, including gene expression regulation. Recently, the PIPKII�� gene was found to be differentially expressed in reticulocytes from two siblings with hemoglobin H disease, suggesting a possible relationship between PIPKII�� and the production of globins. Here, we investigated PIPKII�� gene and protein expression and protein localization in hematopoietic-derived cells during their differentiation, and the effects of PIPKII�� silencing on K562 cells. PIPKII�� silencing resulted in an increase in �� and �� globins and a decrease in the proliferation of K562 cells without affecting cell cycle progression and apoptosis. In conclusion, using a cell line model, we showed that PIPKII�� is widely expressed in hematopoietic-derived cells, is localized in their cytoplasm and nucleus, and is upregulated during erythroid differentiation. We also showed that PIPKII�� silencing can induce �� and �� globin expression and decrease cell proliferation in K562 cells.

Laparoscopic Antireflux Surgery In Patients With Extra Esophageal Symptoms Related To Asthma.

Asthma, laryngitis and chronic cough are atypical symptoms of the gastroesophageal reflux disease. To analyze the efficacy of laparoscopic surgery in the remission of extra-esophageal symptoms in patients with gastroesophageal reflux, related to asthma. Were reviewed the medical records of 400 patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease submitted to laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication from 1994 to 2006, and identified 30 patients with extra-esophageal symptoms related to asthma. The variables considered were: gender, age, gastroesophageal symptoms (heartburn, acid reflux and dysphagia), time of reflux disease, treatment with proton pump inhibitor, use of specific medications, treatment and evolution, number of attacks and degree of esophagitis. Data were subjected to statistical analysis, comparing the pre- and post-surgical findings. The comparative analysis before surgery (T1) and six months after surgery (T2) showed a significant reduction on heartburn and reflux symptoms. Apart from that, there was a significant difference between the patients with daily crises of asthma (T1 versus T2, 45.83% to 16.67%, p=0.0002) and continuous crises (T1, 41.67% versus T2, 8.33%, p=0.0002). Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication was effective in improving symptoms that are typical of reflux disease and clinical manifestations of asthma.

Elevated Hypercoagulability Markers In Hemoglobin Sc Disease.

Hemoglobin SC disease is a very prevalent hemoglobinopathy, however very little is known specifically about this condition. There appears to be an increased risk of thromboembolic events in hemoglobin SC disease, but studies evaluating the hemostatic alterations are lacking. We describe a cross-sectional observational study evaluating coagulation activation markers in adult hemoglobin SC patients, in comparison with sickle cell anemia patients and healthy controls. A total of 56 hemoglobin SC and 39 sickle cell anemia patients were included in the study, all in steady state, and 27 healthy controls. None of the patients were in use of hydroxyurea. Hemoglobin SC patients presented a significantly up-regulated relative expression of tissue factor, as well as elevations in thrombin-antithrombin complex and D-dimer, in comparison to controls (p<0.01). Hemoglobin SC patients presented lower tissue factor expression, and thrombin-antithrombin complex and D-dimer levels when compared to sickle cell anemia patients (p<0.05). Endothelial activation (soluble thrombomodulin and soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1), and inflammation (tumor necrosis factor-alpha) markers were both significantly elevated in hemoglobin SC patients when compared to controls, being as high as the levels seen in sickle cell anemia. Overall, in hemoglobin SC patients, higher hemolytic activity and inflammation were associated with a more intense activation of coagulation, and hemostatic activation was associated with two very prevalent chronic complications seen in hemoglobin SC disease: retinopathy and osteonecrosis. In summary, our results demonstrate that hemoglobin SC patients present a hypercoagulable state, although this manifestation was not as intense as that seen in sickle cell anemia.

Imatinib Restores Vasp Activity And Its Interaction With Zyxin In Bcr-abl Leukemic Cells.

Vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP) and Zyxin are interacting proteins involved in cellular adhesion and motility. PKA phosphorylates VASP at serine 157, regulating VASP cellular functions. VASP interacts with ABL and is a substrate of the BCR-ABL oncoprotein. The presence of BCR-ABL protein drives oncogenesis in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) due to a constitutive activation of tyrosine kinase activity. However, the function of VASP and Zyxin in BCR-ABL pathway and the role of VASP in CML cells remain unknown. In vitro experiments using K562 cells showed the involvement of VASP in BCR-ABL signaling. VASP and Zyxin inhibition decreased the expression of anti-apoptotic proteins, BCL2 and BCL-XL. Imatinib induced an increase in phosphorylation at Ser157 of VASP and decreased VASP and BCR-ABL interaction. VASP did not interact with Zyxin in K562 cells; however, after Imatinib treatment, this interaction was restored. Corroborating our data, we demonstrated the absence of phosphorylation at Ser157 in VASP in the bone marrow of CML patients, in contrast to healthy donors. Phosphorylation of VASP on Ser157 was restored in Imatinib responsive patients though not in the resistant patients. Therefore, we herein identified a possible role of VASP in CML pathogenesis, through the regulation of BCR-ABL effector proteins or the absence of phosphorylation at Ser157 in VASP.

Ankhd1 Represses P21 (waf1/cip1) Promoter And Promotes Multiple Myeloma Cell Growth.

ANKHD1 (Ankyrin repeat and KH domain-containing protein 1) is highly expressed and plays an important role in the proliferation and cell cycle progression of multiple myeloma (MM) cells. ANKHD1 downregulation modulates cell cycle gene expression and upregulates p21 irrespective of the TP53 mutational status of MM cell lines. The present study was aimed to investigate the role of ANKHD1 in MM in vitro clonogenicity and in vivo tumourigenicity, as well as the role of ANKHD1 in p21 transcriptional regulation. ANKHD1 silencing in MM cells resulted in significantly low no. of colonies formed and in slow migration as compared to control cells (p < 0.05). Furthermore, in xenograft MM mice models, tumour growth was visibly suppressed in mice injected with ANKHD1 silenced cells compared to the control group. There was a significant decrease in tumour volume (p = 0.006) as well as in weight (p = 0.02) in the group injected with silenced cells compared to those of the control group. Co-immunoprecipitation and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays confirmed the interaction between p21 and ANKHD1. Moreover, overexpression of ANKHD1 downregulated the activity of a p21 promoter in luciferase assays. Decrease in luciferase activity suggests a direct role of ANKHD1 in p21 transcriptional regulation. In addition confocal analysis after U266 cells were treated with Leptomycin B (LMB) for 24 h showed accumulation of ANKHD1 inside the nucleus as compared to untreated cells where ANKHD1 was found to be predominantly in cytoplasm. This suggests ANKHD1 might be shuttling between cytoplasm and nucleus. In conclusion, ANKHD1 promotes MM growth by repressing p21 a potent cell cycle regulator.

Composi����o flor��stica da floresta semidec��dua de altitude do Parque Municipal da Grota Funda (Atibaia - Estado de S��o Paulo)

A floristic survey was carried out in the Grota Funda Municipal Park, Atibaia Municipality, Sao Paulo State (45��45 - 46�� 45'W and 23��10 - 23��15'S), a mountainous region from 900 to 1400 meters above sea level. The climate is characterized by two seasons a hot, moist period from October to March and a dry, cold period from April to August, with frequent frosts. The sandy soil is low in fertility and highly acid at the surface. The study was done from April 1987 to November 1988. A total of 415 species were collected and identified: 362 dicotyledons belonging to 84 families and 224 genera, and 53 monocotyledons beloging to 15 families and 43 genera. Species richness in Atibaia can be attributed to environmental diversity, edaphic variation, and slight disturbance of the vegetation. A comparison with other floristic surveys in mountain forests was made and a list of the most common species of this kind of forest is presented.
