La Perspectiva biofísica de la relació home-natura: economia ecològica

L'estudi de la relació entre l'activitat econòmica i el medi que ens envolta és antiga en economia. No obstant és cert que darrerament la teoria econòmica sembla haver-la oblidada. És per això que quan sortí la disciplina que avui s’anomena "economia ecològica" va implicar una ruptura amb la manera amb la qual la teoria econòmica convencional descrivia nostra relació amb el medi ambient. El present capítol pretén descriure breument el que creiem són les característiques principals que la fan diferent de la resta de disciplines: la inconmensurabilitat de valors, la seva anàlisi en termes biofísics, i les seves repercussions al nivell de la generació de polítiques, que la fan ser un exemple del que es coneix com a ciència post-normal.

Quantitative and qualitative research on brief systemic therapies carried out within the framework of an ambulatory consultation for couples and families

Abstract: This article presents both a brief systemic intervention method (IBS) consisting in 6 sessions developed in an ambulatory service for couples and families, and two research projects done in collaboration with the Institute for Psychotherapy of the University of Lausanne. The first project is quantitative and it aims at evaluating the effectiveness of ISB. One of its main feature is that outcomes are assessed at different levels of individual and family functioning: 1) symptoms and individual functioning; 2) quality of marital relationship; 3) parental and co-parental relationships; 4) familial relationships. The second project is a qualitative case study about a marital therapy which identifies and analyses significant moments of the therapeutic process from the patients' perspective. Methodology was largely inspired by Daniel Stem's work about "moments of meeting" in psychotherapy. Results show that patients' theories about relationship and change are important elements that deepen our understanding of the change process in couple and family therapy. The interest of associating clinicians and researchers for the development and validation of a new clinical model is discussed.

Troubles de l'humeur et VIH: épidémiologie, clinique et prise en charge thérapeutique [Mood disorders in HIV patients: a challenge for liaison psychiatry consultation].

Mood disorders represent the most prevalent psychiatric condition in patients infected by HIV virus. Screening and treatment of depression as well as the evaluation of the risk suicide is of the utmost importance. When psychopharmacological treatment is required, interaction with antiretroviral treatment must be carefully considered. More generally a close collaboration between the physician and the psychiatrist is recommended.

En este proyecto se han visto dos sistemas de computación distribuida diferentes entre ellos: Condor y BOINC. Se exploran las posibilidades para poder conseguir que ambos sistemas logren trabajar conjuntamente, escogiendo la parte más efectiva de cada uno de los sistemas con el fin de complementarse.

Intervention précoce dans les troubles psychotiques: quel rôle pour les praticiens de premier recours [Early intervention in psychotic disorders: which role for primary care practitioners?]

The development of early intervention in psychotic disorders has allowed a more optimistic approach and the development of more adapted and more efficient treatments. Primary care practitioners are often the first professional contact for patients developing psychosis, but diagnostic difficulties and patients' reluctance to engage in treatment are often an obstacle to private practice treatment. It is therefore important to provide more information to primary care practitioners on specific characteristics of these disorders and about locally available treatment structures in order to allow them to suspect this relatively rare diagnosis, facilitate the collaboration with flexible and accessible specialist services, that ideally should provide home treatment, and to improve prognosis.

Little is known about the migration of plasma cell precursors to the lymph node medulla. In this issue of Immunity, Fooksman et al. (2010) propose that this migration is largely independent of chemotactic cues but follows a long linear walk of random orientation.

Women at home, at school and in the factory. The particular discourse of domesticity done by the Spanish Escuela Economista (1861-1909)

The texts by the Spanish Economist School (second half of the 19th century) contain an assessment of the role of women in the economy and society that is transgressor in front of the prevailing discourse that defended a unique and exclusive role for all women: being at home and a mother. Most members of that economic trend defended female work in the factories, basing themselves on wage arguments and even asked for a professional training for those who in many cases could not even write and read for the fact of being a woman. The texts of those economists give new ideas about the economic and social role of women in a Spain dominated by a discourse that denied the necessity of female work for the working families.

De l'efficacité de la consultation en OSP

Le projet de recherche «Voies professionnelles», réalisé au service de consultations de l'Université de Lausanne, a analysé le processus de consultation en orientation pour en décrire les différentes composantes et en cerner les impacts, aussi bien cognitifs que relationnels.

Home i natura a la Vall de Riells

Considerant l’absència d’estudis ambientals previs a la Vall de Riells (Bigues i Riells, Vallès Oriental), i l’evident necessitat de gestió de l’espai a causa de la sobrefreqüentació antròpica, s’ha realitzat aquesta diagnosi ambiental. En ella es descriuen de manera integrada els principals elements del medi físic, biòtic i socioeconòmic, per tal de proporcionar les eines necessàries per avaluar les problemàtiques de l’espai i fomentar la seva gestió i conservació.
