Experimentação no ensino de física: um estudo escolas estaduais na região de São José dos Campos

This work presents the results of a study on the use of experimentation in physics teaching, presenting a survey on the use of this strategy in public high schools in the region of São José dos Campos. Data collection was carried out in schools by means of questionnaires prepared for physics teachers and students from three grades of high school. Data were obtained in eighteen schools distributed in the city of São José dos Campos (two in the central region, in the west, three on the east side, seven in the north and five in the south), a school in the district of Sao Francisco Xavier and a school in the town of Monteiro Lobato. Thus, data from 20 schools, 610 students and 20 teachers were analyzed. Among the main results, we highlight that over 80% of the students said that there is no physics lab at the school where they study, and less than 1% declares that uses laboratory weekly. We note that there is a laboratory in 25% of the schools in the northern region and 10% or less of the other schools. According to the students the proposition of the experimental activities by teachers is rare - only three schools in East Side the options sometimes and always exceeded the number of responses experimental activities are never proposed. We had 60% of the teachers who reported using the curriculum of the state of São Paulo to propose activities to students, and half of the teachers said they did not have classes experimental physics classes in initial training or had them in sufficient quantity to support the use of this feature in practice

Athletics in most of its history, turned to competition, giving it little pedagogical knowledge, prevailing knowledge grounded in records, indexes and competitions. Thus, although it is considered a classic content of Physical Education, this modality is still not widespread in schools. The present study aimed to investigate possible progress in the teaching and learning of athletics in the State Schools of Bauru from the implementation of the Curriculum of the State of São Paulo for Teaching Physical Education. We attempted to checking the perspective of teachers and students, the changes in teaching and learning as well as difficulties encountered from the deployment. To that end, we conducted survey of the theoretical and practical alternatives developed by Physical Education teachers, about athletics theme, since the implementation of the Curriculum of the State of São Paulo for the Teaching of Physical Education in 2008, in seven (7) state schools in Bauru-Sao Paulo, randomly chosen, prioritizing different regions of the county. There was the purpose of investigating, through questionnaires, interviews (applied to teachers and students), what progress has been achieved with regard to the approach of collegiate athletics in the teaching/learning process, if there are difficulties, what are these and how they could be addressed in order to improve teaching and learning in school athletics. The collected data were analyzed comparatively, before and after implementation of the Curriculum of the State of São Paulo for Physical Education, gathering and specifying negative and/or positive aspects raised by teachers and students. It was concluded that the students' knowledge of the sport has increased, but the practice of sport is still far from being normal to them, doing so is necessary to include content from the earliest school years. As percepções sobre a democracia no Brasil: os valores políticos dos deputados estaduais paulistas, paranaenses e catarinenses

This paper analyzes the opinions of legislators members of parliamentaries elites of Legislative Assemblies of the States of São Paulo, Paraná and Santa Catarina on democracy. The opinions of legislators paulistas were collected using a questionnaire selfadministered and structured, while the opinions of legislators paranaenses and catarinenses were collected with the surveys “As elites administrativas, parlamentares e partidárias do Paraná, 1995-2006” and “Elites políticas e a democracia: os valores políticos dos parlamentares catarinenses da 16º Legislatura, 2007”. The results were: i) democracy is stable, ii) it is superior to any other type of regime, iii) is supported by some social policies and the use of voting and iv) democracy has support of various ideological currents.

A coordenação pedagógica nas escolas estaduais paulistas: as resoluções recentes e a atuação cotidiana na gestão e organização escolar

This article analyzes the pedagogical coordination work in public schools of the state of São Paulo within a context of educational reforms occurred between 1996 and 2010. The paper analyzes the main resolutions published by the Secretariate of Education regarding the functions performed by coordinating teachers, and discusses data obtained from empirical research conducted with three schools in inner cities of the state of São Paulo, specifically in the final years of elementary school and high-school. The analysis has enabled us to identify the implications of educational reforms on the functions of coordinating teachers. In addition, we have identified and interpreted the ways in which subjects are (re)adjusted in school management and organization.

Os professores e os projetos nas escolas públicas estaduais paulistas: um trabalho possível?

Proficiência em Matemática: análise do desempenho de escolas públicas estaduais de Araraquara no SARESP

The objective of this study is to present an analysis of students performance in public schools of Araraquara in relation to the proficiency in mathematics, addressing the Sistema de Avaliação de Rendimento Escolar do Estado de São Paulo (SARESP), which is an important tool for support the Secretaria Estadual da Educação in definitions focused on educational policies. To perform the analysis of students performance were considered notes in math tests, achieved by students from the third grade of high school in eleven state public schools of Araraquara. To achieve the proposed objective, were used data from SARESP for the period between 2008 and 2011, made available by the State Secretariat of Education (SEE). The results showed that students in the third grade of high school of public schools in Araraquara are in the worst levels of proficiency in mathematics considered by SARESP. This result demonstrates an urgent need to seek explanations and ways to overcome this situation.

A prática curricular e as tecnologias nas escolas municipais e estaduais: desafios e possibilidades

In order to ensure the teaching and learning process of written and spoken language, the state government of São Paulo established as the official curriculum Read and Write Program (2007) and EMAI (2012). In municipal elementary schools in Bauru SP, since 2013, went into action the Common curriculum, targeting a unified curriculum. The curriculum has a wide range of definitions, which vary according to the conception of the authors, as well as its practice can occur of different ways resulting from the worldview and teacher's work. So, this study aimed to analyze the relationship between the curriculum of state and municipal schools in Bauru regarding its articulation with the use of technology in the early years of elementary school, opposing proposal curriculum and teaching practice. For this, was necessary check the view of teachers on this process, because they are responsible for putting the curriculum in action and link it with the use of technology. Several authors report that the use of technology in education to provide qualitative advances in school learning, thereby we asked whether there is a joint in the daily life of state and municipal schools, through the existing curriculum. To answer these and other questions in this work, we realized a qualitative empirical research base that used as an instrument of data collection: literature review, documentary, interview and questionnaire with nine teachers from public schools in the city Bauru, on which we identified that there curricular flexibility to articulate the use of technologies. However, there are also many challenges and opportunities related to public policies and training of teachers to cope with the demands of the digital age

After the reality of more then 20 years of researches pointing to a distancing of Gymnastics content in School Physical Education, this study aims to understand and analyze the experience with Gymnastics contents during the middle and High School in Physical Education classes, having as perspective the view of students in the third year of high school from state schools in the city of Rio Claro-SP. Participated in this study 97 students from eleven state schools in the city. It was presented the previous experiences with gymnastics contens developed in Physical Education classes, as well as the materials, the most developed content and the pleasure aroused by these classes
