This is the report from the Eden Fisheries Advisory Committee meeting, which was held on the 3rd September 1974. The report looks at comments of the Regional Fisheries Officer on the report 'Taking Stock', and information including the aims of a report entitled 'Coarse Fisheries'. The report also includes sections on the summary of the stocking carried out from Holmewrangle hatchery, biological work undertaken on the Rivers Liddel, fishery prosecutions, and fish mortalities. This section includes information on the date, location, extent of the kill and the cause. The report also includes sections on the improvement of fisheries in the River Leven, coarse fish salvage and stocking, fishery prosecutions, and biological work on the River Kent. Fish mortalities are also given as well as fish monitoring figures for areas on the Rivers Lune and Leven for 1974. This is the River Dart Fisheries Survey 1974 report produced by the South West Water Authority. The survey was carried out between July and October 1974 to assess the extent of the 0+ and 1+ Salmo salar L. population in the Dart catchment and thereby assess directly the success of the 1973/74 and 1972/73 spawning season. The survey showed that there were large numbers of salmon parr distributed throughout the upper reaches of the Dart, reflecting the successful spawning of the 1973/74 and 1972/73 season. It contains tables with survey sections locations, presence/absence for each section and location maps with spawning grounds and sampling stations.

O objetivo deste trabalho é estudar a movimentação de imigrantes no Porto do Rio de Janeiro e na Hospedaria da Ilha das Flores entre os anos de 1883 e 1907, procurando relacioná-la com as políticas públicas de incentivo ao fluxo migratório e as mudanças na dinâmica organizacional da referida hospedaria. A ideia é demonstrar através dos relatórios do Ministério da Agricultura, Comércio e Obras Públicas e, posteriormente da Indústria, Viação e Obras Públicas que as oscilações no número de entrada de imigrantes no território brasileiro acompanharam as políticas imigratórias favoráveis ou desfavoráveis a vinda de trabalhadores estrangeiros. Assim, pretende-se demonstrar que a Hospedaria da Ilha das Flores foi uma construção integrada à estrutura dos movimentos imigratórios e que, portanto, sua manutenção esteve sujeita a agenda política do governo imperial e republicano. Nesse sentido, em 1891, após a adoção do sistema federalista, transferiu-se para os estados a responsabilidade pelos serviços referentes à imigração e à colonização, o que reduziu gradativamente o fluxo de imigrantes na Hospedaria da Ilha das Flores, fazendo com que a instituição perdesse a importância que tinha na década anterior. Somente em 1907, diante da dificuldade dos estados em promover a imigração, o poder central retomou as políticas imigratórias e a Hospedaria da Ilha das Flores tornou a florescer.
