Le figure genitoriali nella famiglia ipermoderna e le loro conseguenze sul discorso di genere

In questo studio abbiamo voluto tentare un approccio multifunzionale per l’analisi della società moderna, più precisamente per analizzare la figura della donna e dell’uomo in questa epoca, figure che non potrebbero essere analizzate senza considerare le tematiche genitoriali e familiari che sono alla base della società stessa, italiana e non solo. Abbiamo voluto indagare sia la figura materna che quella paterna, prendendo spunto dalle opere di Massimo Recalcati e di John Bowlby che tanto hanno meditato per quanto riguarda il rapporto della madre e del padre con il proprio figlio. Ci è sembrato necessario partire dalla famiglia e dalle figure genitoriali poiché queste costituiscono le fondamenta, sin dai tempi antichi, di ogni società, e considerare come sono variate tali figure nell’epoca ipermoderna costituisce un punto essenziale per delineare alcuni punti fondamentali di quella che Zygmunt Baumann ha definito società liquida. La scienza medica ha insegnato che alla base della «cultura» (in senso antropologico), di ogni cultura, sta il tenace legame del figlio con la propria madre, in un rapporto di dipendenza biologicamente determinato dalla prolungata infanzia dell’essere umano, condizionandone l’intera esistenza e, in qualche modo, sottraendogli sempre il raggiungimento della piena maturità. Infatti bisogna considerare che l’intera esistenza di un uomo, di qualsiasi essere umano, è influenzata da ciò che egli vede e sente nei primi anni di vita (nei primi 3 anni di vita, secondo la scienza), pertanto il rapporto con la madre, il primo rapporto con la figura materna, è basilare per la vita futura dell’individuo. Una volta terminato il ruolo materno, ossia quando il ragazzo è pronto per entrare nella società, è il padre (o meglio, la figura paterna) ad accompagnarlo nel suo raggiungimento della virile maturità e a prenderlo per mano durante il periodo, cosiddetto, della castrazione (psicologica), ossia della piena maturità e del distacco dal “seno materno”. Il femminismo con i suoi movimenti degli anni ’70 ha portato ad una rottura, ad una vera e propria rivoluzione nel rapporto tra le parti. La donna ha acquisito una sempre maggiore consapevolezza portando non solo ad un nuovo e rinnovato tipo di femminilità, ma anche, dirimpetto, ad una differente tipologia di mascolinità, probabilmente meno consapevole e più debole, alimentando una sorta di sentimento ginecofobico che acuisce man mano che si va avanti, nonché un’assenza di dialogo tra i due universi, quello femminile e quello maschile, con una paura di fondo da parte di quest’ultimo.

Identità e alterità nel linguaggio politico russo: proposta di analisi linguistica

Настоящая дипломная работа посвящена разграничению идентичность/чуждость в русской политической речи, выраженное лингвистическими и культурными элементами. В первой части предлагается теоритическая основа работы: объясняются такие понятия как метафора и идиоматическое выражение (семантическая классификация, теория Лакоффа, когнитивный, лингвистический и культурный подходы), интертекстуальность (прецедентные феномены, когнитивная база, картина мира), политический дискурс (язык и политика, цели и особенности). Во второй части ведется анализ примеров из выступлений Путина и Лаврова по тем чертам изученным в предыдущих главах – особое внимание уделяется использованию ссылок, идиоматических выражений и изменения стиля с точки зрения мы/они. Мы стараемся прийти к обобщенному выводу на основе рассмотренного нами материала. Наша цель заключается в исследовании культурно обусловленных лингвистических решений двух политиков с целью обратиться к своему аудиторию и его определить.

A musica une e ensina: o projeto DIRE FARE MUSICARE de Raffaele Maltoni

Abstract Il presente elaborato espone una proposta di traduzione in portoghese del libro DIRE FARE MUSICARE dell’autore italiano Raffaele Maltoni. Il libro contiene 15 canzoni che accompagnano varie attività musicali, motorie e ludiche. Charly, il simpatico mostro viola, guida i bambini durante il percorso musicale. All’introduzione sul genere della letteratura infantile e sull’importanza della musica nell’apprendimento, segue un analisi del testo e un commento alla traduzione. Sinopse O presente trabalho apresenta uma proposta de tradução em português do livro DIRE FARE MUSICARE do autor italiano Raffaele Maltoni. O livro contem 15 canções que acompanham atividades musicais, motoras e lúdicas. Charly, o simpático monstro violeta, acompanha as crianças ao longo do percurso musical. À introdução sobre o género da literatura infantil e sobre a importância da música na aprendizagem, segue uma analise do texto e um comentário à tradução.

Terminologia di genere e interpretazione: schede terminologiche sui "verbi chiave" nelle sedute del Parlamento italiano

Il presente lavoro si inquadra all'interno di un progetto avviato dal Laboratorio di Terminologia e Traduzione Assistita, del Dipartimento di Interpretazione e Traduzione dell'Università di Bologna. L'obiettivo ultimo del progetto è lo sviluppo di risorse terminologiche pensate e adeguate a soddisfare le esigenze della figura dell'interprete professionista e dell'interprete in formazione. Ne consegue la volontà di creare un database multimediale multilingue che vada a comprendere non solo i linguaggi specialistici (la cosiddetta terminologia di dominio) ma anche e soprattutto quegli elementi della terminologia di genere che compongono e che sono trasversali a tutte le lingue naturali: nessi, locuzioni, segnali discorsivi e via dicendo. In particolare, questa tesi si è incentrata sullo studio di una categoria della terminologia di genere appositamente sviluppata per gli interpreti dal Laboratorio di Terminologia: i "verbi chiave", ovvero quelli che ricorrono con più frequenza nei testi orali di discorsi tenuti in pubblico. Per ogni "`verbo chiave"' analizzato è stata dedicata una scheda terminologica, che è stata adattata e concepita per due tipi di utenti: l'interprete in formazione e l'interprete professionista. Al momento attuale, quindi, le venticinque schede proposte si prestano come strumento per migliorare le competenze passive dello studente di interpretazione, grazie anche all'inserimento di proposte di sinonimi cross-categoriali, e al contempo cercano di proporsi anche come strumento di lavoro per l'interprete professionista, soprattutto in fase di preparazione ad un evento. Le schede sono state elaborate a partire da un corpus di riferimento contenente i resoconti stenografici di cinquanta sedute dell'Assemblea parlamentare. Questa tesi contribuisce allo sviluppo del progetto del Laboratorio lasciando tuttavia spazio a successive integrazioni, per cui rappresenta solo un primo passo verso il completamento del progetto stesso.

La traduzione del romanzo per ragazzi Apache - Girl Warrior di Tanya Landman: Un incontro tra storia, genere e culture.

This dissertation deals with the translation into Italian of selected passages from the Young Adult historical novel Apache – Girl Warrior by English author Tanya Landman. The book was chosen after contacting Italian publisher Settenove, dedicated to preventing gender-based violence through children's books and essays. The novel, set in the second half of the Nineteenth Century, tells the story of Siki, a fourteen years old Native American girl who decides to become a warrior in order to avenge her family, killed by the Mexicans. The story also deals with the contact and conflict between Native Americans and white settlers during the so-called Apache Wars. Chapter I deals with Apache's genre; it consists in an overview of the historical novel form and its diffusion, both in Italy and in the English-speaking world. Typical features and themes are also dealt with in this chapter. Chapter II is dedicated to Apache's author. Landman's other works and her mission as a writer are taken into account, as well as the inspirations that led her to writing the novel and the process of research on American history it involved. This chapter also includes a comparison between Tanya Landman's and Louise Erdrich's works. In chapter III, Apache is compared to two well-known novels for children and young adults, The little house on the prairie and Caddie Woodlawn; the aim of this is to demonstrate how widespread misrepresentations about Native Americans are in mainstream literature. Chapter IV analyzes the novel and serves as an introduction to its translation, focusing on its plot, themes, characters and language, while chapter V presents the passages I've chosen to translate; their translation can be found later in the same chapter. In chapter VI, I comment on the choices made during the translation process; translation problems are divided into culture-specific, stylistic, semantic and linguistic.

Tradurre il genere documentario : Due proposte di sottotitolaggio del documentario Little Land a confronto

The aim of this thesis is to discuss the main translation issues encountered while performing a double version of the subtitles of the documentary “Little Land” from English into Italian. The main motivation behind my choice is a personal interest in the subtitling field applied to the documentary filmic genre. This project is divided into two parts. The first part constitutes the theoretical basis of the thesis and is divided in three chapters. The first chapter introduces the documentary “Little Land” and analyses its main features and characteristics. The second chapter is devoted to documentary studies and theory of documentary, including the historical overview of the changes of this filmic genre and an overview of its market potential in order to meet both the audience and the director’s requirements. The third chapter deals with audiovisual translation as a discipline, and analyses the main translation techniques adopted for the documentary genre: dubbing, voice-over and subtitling. The subtitling section is particularly rich, and a discussion of the use of double and pivot subtitles and the possibilities of subtitling for accessibility issues is included. The second part constitutes the practical development of the theories introduced and dealt with in the first part. Chapter four provides an overview of the history of the Cineteca di Bologna, for whom I worked as a subtitler, and explains the guide lines and equipment required in order to perform the manual launch of the subtitles during their festival Human Rights Nights. The fifth and final chapter provides an analysis of the second version of the subtitles, meant for TV broadcasting, and highlights the main issues encountered during the translation process, both from a structural and a lexical point of view. A discussion of the different translation strategies adopted is provided, in a constant comparison with the first version of the subtitles. The function of self-reflection and self-observation in translation is also examined. Appendix A and B contain the interviews with “Little Land”’s director and protagonist respectively, Appendix C contains the subtitles table.

Sul sentiero meno battuto: Proposta di traduzione di sei albi illustrati che si allontanano dagli stereotipi sui temi di genere, multiculturalismo e disabilita

This thesis focuses on the translation of six picture books that challenge and subvert – each one in its peculiar way – typical stereotypes found in Children’s Literature. I think that stereotyping is an all-important theme in picture books because these books are the ones that will introduce children to literature and young readers have the right to find in it every kind of model. Showing children a variety of characters that reflects the multiple forms of reality will allow them to choose which kind of person to be. In my opinion, this freedom is much needed especially here, in Italy, in this moment of history. This work also studies the stereotypes that have appeared – and are still present, to some extent – in Children’s Literature, the ways in which they are dangerous for young readers, and how they have changed over time. I centered my research on three major themes that have been subject to stereotyping: race, disability and gender. I searched for the right books to translate paying attention not only to the themes they focused on but also to how they dealt with such themes, the tone of each picture book and, obviously, its quality. The selection resulting from my research reflects a diverse world and a celebration of difference. Before actually translating them, I engaged in a deep analysis of their structures, themes and meanings, so that I would be able to enter the ‘world’ of the book and to understand its ‘secrets’ better. This analysis proved to be fundamental during the translation phase and allowed me to make conscious translation choices that I have explored in the part dedicated to the commentary of the translation.
