To know the profile of research of each Department of Education is of utmost importance for future actions of improvements. This type of study must be made continuously of form to evaluate Departments´ trends as well as the College´s as a whole, besides stimulating the activities of research and formation of human resources of the Departments. In this work is quantified activity of orientation and research of the Departments of the College of Engineering of Guaratinguetá - UNESP, through national and international publications in periodic, congresses and supervisions of graduation works, masters, doctoral, post doctoral, and scientific initiation, in a period five years (2007 through 2012). For balance of points to the considered issues, a criterion based on the CAPES qualification of periodic has been assumed. On the basis of the results of this work, has been observed enormous differences and particularities between the seven analyzed Departments of Education. In a general way, some Departments presented good performance in the three criteria, whereas others obtained a good performance in only one of them. The Department of Materials and Technology was the only one in which 25% of the professors obtained maximum note for the publication in periodic, while in the Departments of Civil, Electric Engineering and Mechanics 75% of the professors did not reach sufficient punctuation in order to equal a publication in periodic with B2 extract

Estudo da viabilidade de uma gestão ambiental de pilhas no campus da Unesp de Rio Claro

When exhausted, the batteries are classified as hazardous waste because it has potentially toxic heavy metals and bio-accumulators, such as mercury, cadmium and lead in their internal composition functional. Due to the high level of danger, such waste should be properly designed to not allow theses chemical components to cause significant impacts on the environment. Thus, the recycling of waste in question is the best destination. In this context, was wanted to know, through a questionnaire in interview format, how the graduates of the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho of Rio Claro / SP are involved with this environmental issue. Moradia Estudantil da UNESP - Campus de São José do Rio Preto

O presente trabalho apresenta uma proposta de ampliação da moradia estudantil da UNESP do campus de São José do Rio Preto, o IBILCE - Instituto de Biociências, Letras e Ciências Exatas. Para tanto, foram realizados levantamentos acerca da questão habitacional para os estudantes no país, da realidade dos sistemas de assistência aos estudantes universitários nas escolas de nível superior, em principal do IBILCE, e também levantamentos de outras moradias estudantis, nacionais e internacionais, buscando referências. Deste modo, o projeto visa atender as necessidades específicas dos usuários em questão apresentando unidades habitacionais que proporcionem maior conforto além de contemplar áreas para convívio, lazer e prática de esportes. Pretende-se com esse projeto propiciar novas vagas para o campus de São José do Rio Preto, beneficiando mais universitários com uma habitação que promova condições adequadas para o estudo e uma infra-estrutura que contemple tanto áreas coletivas que beneficiem a socialização e o convívio entre os moradores como também locais com privacidade para o descanso e estudo deles

Estudo acústico da variação da frase interrogativa, com destaque para o dialeto paulista

With the new computational technology, the studies of acoustic phonetics started to have a special place. This brought a new way of seeing the phenomenon and to deal with it in the phonetics and in the phonology. Such studies have been developing even more, recently, with a facilitated use of computational programs specially developed to the acoustic analysis of speech, such as PRAAT. Programs like this have been very interesting and useful recently. The acoustic models of analysis have influenced the way the researchers came to see and to interpret the prosodic phenomenon. The current project investigates the acoustic production of declarative and interrogative sentences from the “paulista” Portuguese. This study contributes for a more detailed description of the phenomenon, also becoming inserted in the chart of “intonational” descriptions of the Brazilian Portuguese. The subject of this current project is the acoustic study of some intonation aspects from the speaking Portuguese in Brazil, with a special place to the “paulista” dialect. The current project´s purpose is to make a specific study of interrogatives sentences through the acoustic data analysis of “paulista” dialect speakers

O Sistema de Gestão Ambiental e sua contribuição socioambiental para a biblioteca central da UNESP, Campus Rio Claro/SP

The minimization and mitigation of environmental impacts caused by the activities of organizations is increasingly becoming a key concern due to factors such as market demand, including suppliers and consumer markets, quality standards and even marketing strategies. The implementation of an EMS - Environmental Management System - allows the organization to achieve the level of environmental performance for its determined and promotes continuous improvement over time. This system consists of a schedule of activities, so as to eliminate or minimize impacts to the environment through preventive actions. It also provides a structured approach to set and achieve goals and objectives, and to establish procedures, work instructions and control, ensuring that the implementation of the policy can become reality. The objective of this work consists in planning a system using environmental management based on the ISO 14001 - standard internationally more widespread and accepted in the requirements to establish and operate an EMS - the Central Library, UNESP, Rio Claro / SP to stimulate the quest for continuous improvement and sustainability in the educational institution. For making the diagnosis of this planning was used the PDCA methodology, suggested by the standard, as well as all requirements for compliance. The results show that the benefits that the organization will receive involve reducing expenses and cost of energy and water, and improve the organization's reputation before the whole university and other educational institutions, reaching about three thousand people on university

Reflexões e observações sobre as novas diretrizes curriculares e a sua influência na formação inicial do professor na universidade

With reference to curricular changes proposed by the CNE Resolution 1 /2002 and CNE 2/2002 on Teacher Education in Basic Education teaching degree - this study aims to analyze the new professional profile proposed in curriculum pedagogy , Physical Education , Science Biology , Mathematics , Physics and Geography . Within the curriculum guidelines was observed in a more normative articulated curriculum, focused on action-reflection- action. A guided design in practical rationality and the skills set without breaking the commitment of the public university with emancipation and quality education . Although there is this understanding we must also attend to the care that must be given to the new guidelines , based on the same reveal great concern with vocational training , with its instrumentation , with the pragmatic and utilitarian dimension of the training process . It is noteworthy that throughout the twentieth century in Brazil , where he fought for educational policies that were to solidify the construction of teacher identity , but the gains have largely remained restricted to the issue of educational reforms and a roster of disciplines , called pedagogical varnish . Therefore, this work is to deepen this thematic perspective , studying the identity of the teacher in the new curriculum design presented by undergraduate courses . Therefore , the central objective seeks to understand how the identity of teacher ( professional profile ) was presented in the proposals for teacher training , as well as the different elements that make up this identity process . Gestão da qualidade total: introdução dos conceitos e a sua utilização em um curso para abordar o comportamento individual do aluno/profissional/cidadão

A introdução do assunto qualidade, segundo as necessidades de mercado abre espaço para a discussão da qualidade como necessidade pessoal, e também para a formação do cidadão/profissional, além de introduzir assuntos específicos de administração de empresas. Dessa forma, foi oferecida uma disciplina optativa para os alunos do Instituto de Química do Campus de Araraquara, abordando o tema Qualidade e foi denominada Gestão da Qualidade por três anos seguidos. da avaliação geral do curso extraiu-se que ele deveria ser realizado sempre, que o tema é atual e relevante e contribui para a formação profissional/pessoal. Com relação ao comprometimento com o curso de graduação, cerca de metade dos alunos assume o seu comprometimento com os estudos e os restantes dizem estarem somente envolvidos. Conclui-se, portanto que o curso atingiu os seus objetivos propostos, introduziu os principais conceitos de qualidade segundo as normas da qualidade da série ISO 9000 e suscitou a discussão da formação do aluno/profissional/cidadão.
