Una applicazione per la valutazione delle prestazioni di architetture parallele a basso consumo

In questa tesi si descrive il lavoro svolto presso l’istituto INFN-CNAF, che consiste nello sviluppo di un’applicazione parallela e del suo utilizzo su di un’architettura a basso consumo, allo scopo di valutare il comportamento della stessa, confrontandolo a quello di architetture ad alta potenza di calcolo. L’architettura a basso consumo utilizzata `e un system on chip mutuato dal mondo mobile e embedded contenente una cpu ARM quad core e una GPU NVIDIA, mentre l’architettura ad alta potenza di calcolo `e un sistema x86 64 con una GPU NVIDIA di classe server. L’applicazione `e stata sviluppata in C++ in due differenti versioni: la prima utilizzando l’estensione OpenMP e la seconda utilizzando l’estensione CUDA. Queste due versioni hanno permesso di valutare il comportamento dell’architettura a basso consumo sotto diversi punti di vista, utilizzando nelle differenti versioni dell’applicazione la CPU o la GPU come unita` principale di elaborazione.

Netzwerk Aussenpolitik. Internationale Organisationen und Kongresse als Instrumente der schweizerischen Aussenpolitik 1914–1950

Netzwerk Aussenpolitik beschreibt den dynamischen Wandel der internationalen Beziehungen von einer Summe nationaler Aussenpolitiken zu einem vielschichtigen Netzwerk von multilateralen Kontakten. Für die staatliche Aussenpolitik war dieser Prozess eine Herausforderung der besonderen Art, da diese Netzwerke staatliche so gut wie nongouvernementale Aktivitäten umfassten. Die staatliche Beteiligung an dieser neuen Entwicklung musste daher abgesichert und die Instrumente der Aussenpolitik an die neuen Strukturen der internationalen Beziehungen angepasst werden. Reichhaltige in- und ausländische Archivquellen belegen die Herausbildung einer netzwerkorientierten Aussenpolitik als ein in Vergessenheit geratenes Charakteristikum schweizerischer Aussenpolitik, das derzeit als historische Wurzeln der Globalisierung neue Bedeutung zu gewinnen beginnt. Das Buch untersucht sowohl quantitativ als auch qualitativ die schweizerische Beteiligung an internationalen Organisationen und die offizielle Teilnahme an internationalen Konferenzen und Kongressen in der Zeit von 1914 bis 1950. Die Zeit der Krisen und Kriege erlaubt die Stabilität der internationalen Netzwerke zu diskutieren und die aussenpolitischen Reaktionen auf faschistische und nationalsozialistische Unterwanderung zu untersuchen. Dabei wird die Wechselwirkung zwischen Aussenpolitik und Netzwerken während der Weltkriege ebenso thematisiert wie deren Bedeutung bei der Transformation der internationalen Beziehungen zum UN-System.

The aim of this paper is precisely to analyze the documents and central events in the early days in the relationship between the UN system and its indications for political sports, Physical Education and body practices. Thus, we can understand the outlines of greater integration and organic nature of the actions in the Sport field and Physical Education, seeking to fulfill its role of a worldwide organic intelectual group
