The present research study the work professional of the Social worker in the National Institute of Social Security of Rio Grande do Norte s State, especially about the working terms, the demands and working process of Social worker in consequence of the limits established with disorganization of his institutional space derived of the Counter-Reforms of the State and of Social Security. In decade of 1990 there was in Brazil adhesion to the neoliberal politics what configured a new organization of work and a new performance of the State. Inside this context, it was accomplished the Counter-Reforms with emphasis in the privatizations, reform of the Social Security and of the device of the Brazilian State, among other actions. Particularly, in Social Service reforms brought profound consequences for the Social workers of INSS, among it: reduction of professionals and in his institutional space. This study situates the Social Worker of Social Security in front of the contemporary modifications in the world of work as well as in front of the consequences come upon of the Counter-Reforms implemented and executed by the neoliberal governments in the country of way the of frame and to enter to the globalized world and the new order of the capital. From the qualitative research based in the critical and dialectic theoreticianmethodological perspective that study the phenomena from your relations, mediations and contradictions, was possible unveil the limits and the possibilities of the professional work of the Social worker in INSS placed the Counter-Reforms of Social Security. Synthetically, the results of this investigation indicate that, there is an worsening in the inconsistency of the work with relation to social worker's functional situation and his working terms in the institution

O cotidiano do(a) Assistente Social frente as demandas apresentadas pela paciente portadora do câncer de mama em tratamento no Hospital Doutor Luiz Antônio em Natal/RN

This work deals with an analysis related to the social worker s practice in the oncology area. It aims to identify demands, work conditions as well as current challenges related to this profession. It considers the specificities of breast cancer and relates it to political decisions in the health sector considering the concept of contemporary capitalism. The study analyzes professional action and the demands presented by breast cancer patients who are currently in treatment in Hospital Dr. Luiz Antônio em Natal-Rio Grande do Norte-Brazil. The methodological procedures considered of documental analysis, semi-structured interviews (with two social workers that work with fifteen breast cancer patients) as well as participant observation; which was done counting with my own professional practice in the oncology area. Thus, the research also discusses the breast cancer issue in the life of the users considering their social-economical, cultural and political determinants. Factors such as age in which the diagnosis was known, the relation user/social workers, number of children, rights of the oncology patient, place where he/she lives, education, civil status, (re)insertion of the professional in the work field, perception of self-esteem and bio-psycho-social representation of breast cancer in the lives of these women, all of which were dealt with in this research

Desafios e limites da prática do sindicalismo rural :um estudo de caso em São Paulo do Potengi/RN

The dissertation analyzes how the syndical practice of the workers rural Brazilians works your aspects of mobilization and claim in front of the execution of attendance services and providences, instituted in the marks of the military dictatorship, in the decade of 1970. We try to apprehend how these services have been interfering in the development of base works. Considering base works, as an enduring political formation of the rural workers, formation of new syndical leaderships and an effect participation of the workers in the political spaces. We trace the path of the rural workers' organization, starting from the previous period to the military stroke of 1964, while protagonists inserted in the national political conjuncture, organizing fight fronts and conquering rights. The research reveals that the rural workers' syndical movement, when it develops the activities coming from Funrural, established in 1971, they confront a dilemma that go through the political nature of your practice, which such activities can reduce the syndical rural workers, to a antity of assistance, and so interfere in the accomplishment of base works with the rural working class. The rural workers' syndical movement, inserted in the several conjunctures, since of your emersion in ante-64, when they have passed by growth and retrocession, they built along this period a structure to the national level, which makes possible the recognition of the rural workers' organization, as a class, and human being politicians of your own structure. Prática profissional e ética no contexto das políticas de saúde

Foram estudadas práticas profissionais em saúde, no contexto das poilítcas sociais em um município paulista. Objetivou-se conhecer as influências dessas políticas nas práticas profissionais e na observância de princípios éticos e de preceitos legais do Sistema Único de Saúde. Foram entrevistados profissionais de saúde, responsáveis pela gestão do sistema de saúde do município, coordenação de instituições de saúde e chefias de unidades. Os entrevistados fizeram referências à gravidade da situação atual do sistema de saúde, manifestando percepção fatalista e visão mecanicista dos fatos, influenciadas pela concepção liberal. Como conseqüência, buscam soluções alternativas individuais, nem sempre lícitas ou éticas.

A Política de Educação Ambiental no município de Belém: um olhar do Serviço Social

Analisa a Política de Educação Ambiental no Município de Belém, possibilitando através de nossas experiências na área do Meio Ambiente, materializadas a partir da inserção em projetos de extensão e de pesquisa, potencializados pela Universidade Federal do Pará. À luz destas experiências, analisamos teoricamente a Educação Ambiental, e fundamentamos nossas argumentações, na necessidade desta ser concebida como Política Social. A indagação e discussão sobre esta questão, emergiu como tema central de nosso estudo, que perpassa sobretudo pelo Serviço Social, profissão que nas últimas décadas do século XX, e no novo milênio, vem confirmando suas ações na defesa intransigente da democracia, da justiça, da liberdade e dos direitos humanos. A partir deste pressuposto, apresentamos a Educação Ambiental como uma nova demanda ocupacional para o Assistente Social, nesse sentido analisamos a intervenção deste profissional no Município de Belém-PA, no tocante a Educação Ambiental. Para tanto, potencializamos nossa pesquisa em três órgãos do Governo Municipal: FUNBOSQUE, FUNVERDE e SEHAB. Este trabalho tem por objetivo último, propiciar argumentos teóricos para avançar no debate da categoria, vislumbrando novas competências teórico-práticas e éticopolíticas acerca da Educação Ambiental.
