In recent decades the public sector comes under pressure in order to improve its performance. The use of Information Technology (IT) has been a tool increasingly used in reaching that goal. Thus, it has become an important issue in public organizations, particularly in institutions of higher education, determine which factors influence the acceptance and use of technology, impacting on the success of its implementation and the desired organizational results. The Technology Acceptance Model - TAM was used as the basis for this study and is based on the constructs perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. However, when it comes to integrated management systems due to the complexity of its implementation,organizational factors were added to thus seek further explanation of the acceptance of such systems. Thus, added to the model five TAM constructs related to critical success factors in implementing ERP systems, they are: support of top management, communication, training, cooperation, and technological complexity (BUENO and SALMERON, 2008). Based on the foregoing, launches the following research problem: What factors influence the acceptance and use of SIE / module academic at the Federal University of Para, from the users' perception of teachers and technicians? The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of organizational factors, and behavioral antecedents of behavioral intention to use the SIE / module academic UFPA in the perspective of teachers and technical users. This is applied research, exploratory and descriptive, quantitative with the implementation of a survey, and data collection occurred through a structured questionnaire applied to a sample of 229 teachers and 30 technical and administrative staff. Data analysis was carried out through descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling with the technique of partial least squares (PLS). Effected primarily to assess the measurement model, which were verified reliability, convergent and discriminant validity for all indicators and constructs. Then the structural model was analyzed using the bootstrap resampling technique like. In assessing statistical significance, all hypotheses were supported. The coefficient of determination (R ²) was high or average in five of the six endogenous variables, so the model explains 47.3% of the variation in behavioral intention. It is noteworthy that among the antecedents of behavioral intention (BI) analyzed in this study, perceived usefulness is the variable that has a greater effect on behavioral intention, followed by ease of use (PEU) and attitude (AT). Among the organizational aspects (critical success factors) studied technological complexity (TC) and training (ERT) were those with greatest effect on behavioral intention to use, although these effects were lower than those produced by behavioral factors (originating from TAM). It is pointed out further that the support of senior management (TMS) showed, among all variables, the least effect on the intention to use (BI) and was followed by communications (COM) and cooperation (CO), which exert a low effect on behavioral intention (BI). Therefore, as other studies on the TAM constructs were adequate for the present research. Thus, the study contributed towards proving evidence that the Technology Acceptance Model can be applied to predict the acceptance of integrated management systems, even in public. With the evolution of nowadays knowledge-based economies, the labour class becomes more competitive. As a way of getting skills that bring benefits to their careers, university students take advantage of the many opportunities available and go abroad to study. This study develops and empirically tests a structural model that examines the antecedents that influence the decision-making process of an Erasmus student under mobility for studies (EMS) in Aveiro, Coimbra and Porto (2014-2015). Reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis and linear regressions were used to evaluate the model. Based on a survey with a sample of 872 valid responses, this study has demonstrated that EMS students are also influenced by touristic factors, which gives support to what has recently been approached by other authors. Conclusions and suggestions can be applied by other organizations, mainly Higher Education Institutions in order to attract more EMS students.

The occurrence of bioactive compounds in marine organisms comes awaking the interest of the pharmaceutical industry. Heparin, a sulfated polysaccharide which presence was already identified in several marine invertebrates, is very attractive due its remarkable functional versatility. Besides to intervene in blood coagulation, this molecule has a great anti-inflammatory potential. However, its strong anticoagulant activity difficult the clinical exploitation of its anti-inflammatory properties. Thus, the aims of this work were to evaluate the effect of a heparin-like compound (heparinoid), isolated from the cephalotorax of the Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp, on the inflammatory response, hemostasia and synthesis of antithrombotic heparan sulfate by endothelial cells, besides studying some aspects concerning its structure. The purified heparinoid was structurally characterized following an analytical boarding, involving electrophoresis and chromatography. The structural analysis have shown that this compound possess a high content of glucuronic acid residues and disulfated disaccharide units. In contrast to mammalian heparin, the heparinoid was incapable to stimulate the synthesis of heparan sulfate by endothelial cells in the tested concentrations, beyond to show reduced anticoagulant activity and hemorrhagic effect. In a model of acute inflammation, the compound isolated from the shrimp reduced more than 50% of the cellular infiltration. Besides reduce the activity of MMP-9 and proMMP-2 of the peritoneal lavage of inflamed animals, the heparinoid also reduced the activity of MMP-9 secreted by activated human leukocytes. These results demonstrate the potential of heparinoid from L. vannamei to intervene in the inflammatory response. For possessing reduced anticoagulant activity and hemorrhagic effect, this compound can serve as a structural model to direct the development of more specific therapeutical agents to the treatment of inflammatory diseases

The present study has proposed a structural model to identify the reasons why individuals become voluntary, keep and exit this type of work. The empirical space was the Pastoral da Criança - social action agency of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) - community-based institution that has its work based on solidarity and the sharing of knowledge. The theoretical framework has the context in which are volunteering studies in Brazilian and world level. Then discuss the various concepts of volunteering and presented the theoretical models of volunteer motivation. Studies of Mostyn (1983) and studies conducted by the BEPEGE-Base for Studies and Research in Management Policies and Strategies - in their line of research GERQUAL - Human Resource Management and Organizational Quality - of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte as Carvalho e Souza(2006), Souza, Medeiros e Fernandes (2006), Souza et al (2009, 2010), Cavalcante et al (2011a, 2011b, 2011c, 2011d) were the main theoretical references for the construction of the model that was tested. Data collection was done through a survey with 71 indicators, in 2 visits to cities from the Diocese of Pesqueira, Pernambuco. The first data collection occurred in the period between May 30 and June 3, 2011, in Buique/PE and the second collection happened in Pesqueira/PE, in St. Joseph Seminary, in the period between July 6-8, 2011. 720 questionnaires were collected. The sample was divided into two parts. Exploratory Factor Analysis was applied in first part and Confirmatory Factor Analysis - structural equation modeling - in the second half. The examination of the results achieved by the expectations, reasons for entry, reasons for staying and exit reasons showed that all hypotheses were accepted. So the motivation of voluntary Pastoral da Criança can be explained by a set of interactions between these five constructs: Altruistic, Affectionate, Amiable, Adjusted and Astute

In recent years the heparin has been the subject of several studies that aim to expand its use as a therapeutic agent, due to its ability to modulate the activity of various proteins that play important roles in the regulation of pathophysiological processes. In several experiments and preclinical trials, heparin has demonstrated an anti-inflammatory role. However, its clinical use is limited, due to its strong anticoagulant activity and hemorrhagic complications. For this reason, considerable efforts have been employed in discovery of heparin analogous (heparinoid) with reduced side effects, that retain the anti-inflammatory properties of heparin. In this context, a heparinoid obtained from the head of Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp, which presents a structural similarity to heparin, showed, in previous studies, anti-inflammatory activity in a model of acute peritonitis with reduced anticoagulant effect in vitro and low hemorrhagic activity. Thus, the present work had as objective to evaluate the effect the heparinoid of the cephalothorax of gray shrimp on the acute inflammatory response in different times (3 or 6 hours after the induction of inflammatory stimulus), using the model of acute peritonitis induced in mice. It was also analyzed the HL effect over the activity of elastase, an enzyme involved in leukocyte recruitment. Furthermore to check if the different doses of heparin and heparinoid change the hemostatic balance in vivo, was assessed the effect of these compounds on the plasma clotting time in animals submitted to inflammation. The results show that in 3 hours, all doses of heparinoid were able to prevent efficiently in the acute inflammatory process without any anticoagulant effects, unlike the extrapolation dose of heparin, which has induced a large hemorrhage due its high anticoagulant activity. However, 6 hours after induction of inflammation, only the dosages of 0.1 and 1.0 μg/Kg of heparin and 1.0 μg/Kg of heparinoid kept anti-migratory effect, without changing of the hemostatic balance. These results indicate that the anti-migratory effect of theses compounds depends on the dosage and time of inflammatory stimulus. The HL and heparin were also able to inhibit the activity of the enzyme elastase. The discovery of this bioactive compound in the cephalothorax of shrimps can arouse great interest in biotechnology, since this compound could be useful as a structural model interesting for the development of new therapeutic agents for peritonitis

Diseñar un sistema de evaluación docente en el cual el profesorado universitario encuentre información efectiva sobre el conjunto del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje desempeñado, como recurso de perfeccionamiento. Planificar un mecanismo formativo de retroalimentación que ayude al profesor a mejorar su desempeño, contribuyendo a la mejora de la enseñanza. Analizar el actual instrumento de evaluación utilizado en el Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora (ITSON), en México. Conocer las repercusiones de los procesos de desarrollo curriculares que se están efectuando en el ITSON con relación al desarrollo del personal docente. Conocer los factores determinantes de la calidad de la enseñanza: Las actividades de formación del docente y los mecanismos de evaluación que se están realizando en las distintas universidades. Diseñar un sistema de evaluación docente centrada en la autoformación del docente universitario, y proponer un proceso de metaevaluación para el sistema diseñado. 682 docentes del ITSON, seleccionados de forma aleatoria en todos los estratos de los departamentos académicos. Fases del proceso: 1. Diagnóstico de la situación, 2. Elaboración del instrumento y selección de técnicas cualitativas, 3. Aplicación de una prueba piloto, 4. Reestructuración del instrumento, 5. Aplicación en el ITSON, 6. Procesamiento de la información, 7. Análisis y elaboración de conclusiones. Escalas, cuestionario de evaluación y entrevistas personales. Análisis de varianza. Se analiza como punto de partida los principios teóricos aplicados sobre la realidad educativa y se hace una reflexión sobre las consecuencias de la evaluación para enriquecer el conocimiento inicial. El profesorado es considerado un profesional responsable y autónomo, capaz de participar activamente en la evaluación de su propia función docente y en la evaluación de los componentes del proceso didáctico. En la búsqueda de nuevas propuestas para el logro de estrategias dirigidas a la mejora de la calidad de la educación surge la propuesta del Modelo Sistémico para la Autoformación del Docente. La investigación presenta una propuesta integradora dentro del marco de la investigación-acción, que refuerza los aspectos colaborativos del profesorado y la evaluación como reflexión, donde se enfatiza que durante el trabajo práctico se va reflexionando y desarrollando los conocimientos, actitudes y habilidades de los profesionales implicados. Los elementos constituyentes de la propuesta han sido: 1. Definir el concepto de calidad que se quiere alcanzar dentro del ITSON, así como los principales objetivos a lograr, 2. Elaboración de planes de acción y de instrumentos técnicos que mejoren el nivel de calidad a través de la evaluación y formación didáctica de los protagonistas, 3. Determinar un modelo de profesor y un perfil de sus tareas que determinen las metas y medios a emplear en su formación, 4.Trabajar por departamentos la realización del sistema de evaluación, 5. Aplicación del sistema de evaluación según las líneas proyectadas, 6. Detectar las necesidades de formación a través del sistema de evaluación, 7. Diseñar un sistema de formación para las necesidades detectadas, 8. Puesta en marcha del sistema de formación, 9. Evaluación y metaevaluación del sistema. Toda esta metodología de trabajo ha sido implementada en el ITSON como institución particular. El trabajo recoge las dificultades que se produjeron en la puesta en marcha de la investigación, como consecuencia de la resistencia de muchos profesores a la evaluación de su desempeño; dejando a un lado las dificultades, el proceso de evaluación del profesorado puede aportar mucho en el desarrollo profesional de los docentes al constituir un reto para la investigación educativa, tanto por la complejidad del objeto de análisis como por los fines perseguidos en la evaluación, dentro de un contexto social e institucional concreto. El proceso ha de ser visto y aceptado por todos los implicados, para la propia mejora de la calidad de la institución, de ahí que la investigación comience recogiendo los criterios que considera el profesorado han de utilizarse en la evaluación, involucrando a toda la institución. La evaluación interviene en el proceso de autoformación del maestro que le lleva a asumir otros roles y a considerar la posibilidad de cambios en sus prácticas educativas, constituyendo procesos de innovación en la autoformación y en el trabajo profesional, donde se manifiesta la necesidad de un trabajo colaborativo entre el profesorado. A pesar de las dificultades que lleva implícita la evaluación, el sistema de evaluación descrito podría y debería servir para poner en marcha mecanismos de formación orientados a la mejora de la calidad de la enseñanza, incorporando la evaluación como un recurso más dentro del plan educativo, proporcionando una mejora para el desarrollo profesional del docente como en la calidad de la enseñanza.
