Navegantes da esperança : análise de um ritual religioso-urbano em Porto Alegre

A Festa dos Navegantes, em Porto Alegre, foi estudada, a partir da noção de ritual desenvolvida pela Antropologia. Para tanto, foi feita a observação sistemática e participanta acompanhada da análise das diversas etapas do ciclo ritual, que tem início na segunda semana de janeiro e término no dia 2 de fevereiro. A transformação da festa de uma manifestação de camadas elevadas e localizada em uma manifestação popular e regionalizada e, ainda, a utilização de símbolos da cultura dominante por grupos dominados como forma desses últimos se aproximarem das camadas superiores foram alguns dos elementos evidenciados ao longo da etnografia.

Sublimação, repressão e controle na construção do fenômeno religioso

O fenômeno religioso entendido em seus componentes essenciais, o mito e a moral, foram alvo de estudo do presente trabalho. A genese psicológica e o sentido psicossocial da religião foram investigados à luz da perspectiva psicanalítica e, particularmente, da abordagem freudiana. Quanto à genese, o mecanismo de sublimação mereceu grande destaque, focalizando-se também o papel dos mecanismos patogênicos presentes nas manifestações da magia, na origem da culpa e moral e nas regras oriundas da religião (formações reativas), nos mitos e na imagem dos deuses (projeção, onipotência e imaginação). A origem do fenômeno religioso também configura-se como importante explicação das normas e regras sociais que controlam a vida coletiva. Tal controle caracteriza-se como eficaz na medida em que a censura imposta já está inserida na memória dos indivíduos, manifestando-se como verdade de gerações passadas, e não permitindo qualquer questionamento do mito. A origem do conceito de Deus é analisada dentro da mesma linha: quer a partir do assassinato do pai primevo, quer como busca de proteção e salvação pelo pai. A análise desses fundamentos teóricos centrados em Freud, Fromm e parcialmente em Marcuse é seguida de uma tentativa de discussão e crítica desses pressupostos.

Escala de coping religioso-espiritual (escala CRE) : tradução, adaptação e validação da escala rcope, abordando relações com saúde e qualidade de vida

OBJETIVOS: A importância do coping religioso espiritual (CRE) nas áreas da saúde e qualidade de vida (QV), e a falta de instrumentos brasileiros para avalia-lo são apontadas pela literatura científica. Este estudo objetivou realizar a versão brasileira da RCOPE Scale, gerando a Escala de Coping Religioso Espiritual (Escala CRE), e examinar a relação entre CRE, saúde e QV. MÉTODO: A primeira fase deste estudo compreendeu: tradução por especialistas da RCOPE, adaptação à cultura brasileira, teste piloto com 50 estudantes de nível médio e superior. A segunda abrangeu teste de campo e processo de validação. Os 616 participantes [65% mulheres, 13-DQRV p=18,44)], foram acessados em um dos seguintes locais que freqüentavam: instituições religiosas ou grupos espirituais (74,4%), universidades (13,5%), clínicas para tratamento de saúde (9,1%) e Web Mail (2,9%). Eles completaram vários instrumentos: Consentimento Livre/Esclarecido, Questionário Geral (questões demográficas, socioeconômicas, religiosas, de saúde), Escala CRE, Escala de Atitude Religiosa e WHOQOL-bref. RESULTADOS: Análises fatoriais geraram uma Escala CRE com duas dimensões: CRE Positivo (CREP) (8 fatores, 66 itens) e CRE Negativo (CREN) (4 fatores, 21 itens). Foram criados quatro índices principais para avaliar os respondentes: as médias CREP e CREN, os escores de CRE TOTAL e Razão CREN/CREP. A Escala CRE demonstrou validade de construto, critério, conteúdo e bons níveis de fidedignidade. Testes Qui-quadrado para Classificação Subjetiva de Saúde (7categorias) mostraram problemas de saúde (PS) físicos relacionados a altos escores de CRE TOTAL e baixos de Razão CREN/CREP; PS emocionais, acrescidos ou não de PS físicos, mostraram resultado inverso. Ainda, QV e CRE TOTAL estiveram positiva e significativamente correlacionados. O CREN esteve negativamente correlacionado à QV em grau maior do que o CREP esteve positivamente correlacionado com QV. Usando Testes t de Student, aqueles que tiveram altos escores de CRE TOTAL mostraram maiores níveis de QV em todos os domínios do WHOQOL-bref, além de maior Classificação Objetiva de Saúde (Likert 5-pontos). Ademais, aqueles que tiveram altos níveis de QV demonstraram maior uso de CREP e menor de CREN. CONCLUSÕES: A Escala CRE é válida e fidedigna, permite aplicação clínica e em pesquisas em locais para tratamento de saúde públicos ou privados. PS físicos podem ser motivadores e educadores do uso do CRE. PS emocionais podem dificultar um melhor uso do CRE, sugerindo que intervenções psicológicas poderiam facilitar o processo. Além disso, CRE e QV são construtos correlacionados. Uma proporção mínima de 2CREP:1CREN (Razão CREN/CREP menor/igual 0,5) foi proposta para se obter um efeito benéfico geral do CRE na QV. Evidências sugerem que intervenções focadas no processo de CRE poderiam ser benéficas e efetivas para agentes de saúde pública pelo seu potencial de reduzir custos de intervenções e pelo seu impacto significante na saúde e QV da população. Os próximos passos seriam: utilização de metodologias experimentais longitudinais para melhor avaliar os efeitos do CRE na saúde e na QV, elaboração de uma Escala CRE Abreviada, investigação aprofundada da influência da variável idade na relação CRE-Saúde e testes de proporção e causais, para verificar a direção da correlação, entre CRE e QV.

This paper adopts the assumption that religion continues to be a major highlight in the dimension of the contemporary world - characterized by pluralism, the ideas of tolerance and freedom. But for certain streams of Christianity, the postmodern culture seems to be characterized as a highly damaging to their doctrines and principles, since this religious matrix carries a truth claim that would support all its significance, its definition values and their dissemination effort ( evangelism ). This is not to say that Christianity is the only religion that claims to the truth, which would be a gross mistake. Now, religion has been reputed as a phenomenon doomed to disappear, according to the " ideology " of Modernity, given the idea that scientific development would lead us inevitably to the statement that religion was merely a social institution based in the superstition, in fantasy, the imaginary and therefore had nothing "real " unless its existence as an institution capable of aggregating society (give it cohesion), provide values and meaning to different ontological anxieties and doubts of humankind. O discurso religioso no processo migratório para o caldeirão do beato José Lourenço

The Caldeirão is a site located in the city of Crato, in the south of Ceará, belonged to priest Cícero Romão Batista. There, was created a religious community led by blessed José Lourenço, who marked the life of thousands of Northeast country people in 1930s, for represent to them a space of religious conviviality, work and devotion. The Caldeirão s population was about three thousand of people, originated from states of Pernambuco, Alagoas, Paraíba, Maranhão, Piauí, Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte, who share the community s daily activities. The misery caused by the dryness and exploration of these country people by the landlords are indicated as the motivator elements of this migratory flux by the greater number of works published about the Caldeirão, turning the community into a primitive experience of class struggles. This present study proposes other comprehension of this migratory movement by the religious speech of salvation taken to country people by the counselor Severino Tavares. Was used as analysis camp the remaining norte-rio-grandenses that migrated to the Caldeirão, and as theoretical and methodological references the understanding model of investigation, the cultural history and the remaining memorial speech analysis. Taking the Regular Baptist Churches of Rio Grande do Norte as the research field, this paper seeks to contribute to a new, more appropriate vision of the new picture of the religiosity of the Brazilian Protestantism. Established since 1938, the Regular Baptists Churches have been representing and producing their speech through their 58 churches spread throughout the state, besides a Theological School, two camps, an association (AIBRERN) and a House of Spiritual Assistance to Drug Dependents (CAEDD). A reflection of the symbolic substratum of the spirituality of the group agrees with the external description of its presence in RN. We understand that the Regular Baptists represent yet one more translation of a modern religious speech and that their focus is on the inheritance of a Christian fundamentalism based on the illuminist rationalism. In this way, we observed this group trying to find in its doctrines, practices and rules of conduct a demonstration that the spirit of the post-modernism challenges the group to new dynamics in the conservative model of its spirituality

Reflexões filosóficas em torno da constituição do sujeito religioso-moral no pensamento de Freud

The present research deals with a philosophical reflection about the constitution of the subject religious and moral in the thought of Freud, starting from of question of religion while one of the various spaces concretion of the individual morality. Our hypothesis is that religion presents itself as a space of revival of the primary relationship with the mother of the subject and as a moral agency. That primary relationship corresponds to the period before the Oedipus complex. The cut caused in the Oedipus complex sake in the an emptiness the subject, leading him to a situation of helplessness. In trying to fill the emptiness and consequently out of the situation of displeasure occasioned by the helplessness, the individual seeks diverses means, between which, the religion. The religion, that sense, quest for one part, that support be filling of the existential emptiness, triggered in the Oedipus complex, and on the other, works as a staunch ally of the Superego, which for turn is direct heir of the Oedipus complex and whose function is to require of the subject to moral living, as is established by the social body, where the individual is inserted. Therefore, we seek to draw this subject starting from general ideas of the philosophy, about the moral, as well as some theoretical elements of freudian thought, since his idea of the origin of the culture, morality and religion the more specific elements that pertain to the individual subject, ie, the psychism
