Journal of the State Convention on Repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment, July 10, 1933

Proposing an amendment to the constitution of the United States. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is hereby proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by conventions in three-fourths of the several states. "Article-"Section 1. The eighteenth article of amendment to the Constitutionof the United States is hereby repealed. "Sec. 2. The transportation or importation into any State, Territory, or possession of the United States for delivery or use therein of intoxicating liquors, in violation of the laws thereof, is hereby prohibited. "Sec. 3. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by conventions in the several States, as provided in the Constitution, within seven yearsfrom the date of the submission hereof to the States by the Congress.” Jno. Las capas de 'Bulimus gerundensis' Vidal de la región de Utiel (Valencia)

Se da cuenta de nuevos hallazgos del Bulimus gerundensis, Vidal, en la región de Utiel, estudiandose su situación estratigráfica, su relación con el Microcodium y su posible utilización paleogeográfica.

Estructura de las sales messinienses y de los depósitos sincinematicos asociados en el sector Noreste del surco de Valencia

Se describen tres tipos principales de acumulaciones salinas a partir de la interpretación de los perfiles de sísmica de reflexión de las campañas ENIEPSA-MAP-77 (1977) y WESTERN GEOPHYSICAL COMPANY OF AMERICA-MEDS (1973) en el sector norte del surco de Valencia. Los principales tipos de estructuras salinas son rollers de sal, almohadillas y diapiros que se disponen en tres cinturones paralelos al límite de la sal messiniense.

Fijacion de nitrogeno por algas cianoficeas en los arrozales de la Albufera de Valencia

Se realizan recuentos ,aislamiento, identificación y determinación de la actividad Nitrogenasa de algas azules en muestras de suelo y agua, durante dos ciclos de cultivo del arroz . Los recuentos se realizan por la técnica del 'Plate Count', utilizando el medio de Chu y los resultados muestran grandes fluctuaciones en las muestras de agua, manteniéndose más altos y uniformes en las muestras de suelo. Después del aislamiento e identificación, llegamos a obtener colonias algales correspondientes en su mayor parte a los géneros Anabaena y Nostoc, las cuales se someten posteriormente a ensayos de reducción del acetileno, para determinar su actividad fijadora de nitrógeno. La especie identificada como N. humifusum, es en nuestras condiciones, la que posee mayor actividad fijadora, además de ser la más común en los dos campos de arroz ensayados.

L'aliança Polygonion avicularis Br.-Bl. ex Dich. 1933 als Pirineus Catalans

L'anàlisi de nombrosos inventaris procedents dels Pirineus centrals i orientals ens ha dut a realitzar una revisió de I'aliança Polygonion avicularis Br.-Bl. ex Dich 1933 en aquesta àrea. Reconeixem fins al moment sis associacions per a les quals donem la seva caracterització florística i ecologica, així com la seva distribució als Pirineus catalans. Descrivim, a més, una subass. scleranthetosum uncinatae del Rumici-Spergularietum rubrae, comunitat altimontana i subalpina pròpia dels sòls calcigats.
