Le présent mémoire aborde les problématiques morales de la scission corps-esprit chez les soldats de la guerre du Việt Nam telles que représen©es à travers certains films traitant de cette guerre. Notre démarche sera centrée sur le travail individuel que propose le film Apocalypse Now, plu´t que sur la representation de la guerre. Nous postulons que ce film met les individus devant les contradictions inhérentes d'une socié© qui prétend justement pacifier le monde en faisant la guerre, et qui plus est, comme ce fut le cas au Việt Nam, au moyen d’un déchainement de violence qui dépasse l'entendement (torture, massacre de masses, napalm et Agent Orange). Notre hypothèse est que le film, à travers son personnage central, nous propose une « voie » qui n’empêche pas la guerre, certes, mais permet du moins d'entreprendre une demarche de distanciation et de redefinition morale individuelle permettant de survivre au(x) temps de guerre(s). Cette mutation morale, chez le personnage principal, s'acquiert au bout d'un voyage réflexif à tout point de vue « au coeur des ©nèbres » – de la jungle, tout autant que de son être.

L’Atelier contemporain recueille la plupart des textes sur l’art de Francis Ponge. Malgré sa réputation de « poète des choses », celui-ci n’y écrit pourtant pas avant tout sur les Å“uvres finies (les tableaux), mais plu´t sur les artistes mêmes. S’appuyant sur un approfondissement de la conceptualisation de la poétique pongienne comme érotique entre le sujet et l’objet, ce mémoire cherche à découvrir, à travers les questions particulières que la peinture pose à l’écriture de Ponge, les raisons du déplacement du regard de l’écriture de la chose muette à la personne parlante. Il semble que Ponge, face à des Å“uvres artistiques non verbales, soit à la recherche d’une signifiance qu’il ne peut trouver, ce qui l’oblige à se tourner vers les personnes. Mais ces personnes finissent toujours par céder la première place, dans L’Atelier contemporain, au « je » du poète.

According to Hemingway all good prose has the dignity and draught of an iceberg. This is especially true of Hemingway's short stories. "Francis Macomber" counts among the best composed short stories in English. Interpretation sways between Hemingway's idealisation of the male code and its deconstruction. Is the White Hunter a British scourge of American values or is Margot the tragic victim of a newly founded male friendship? Is the open ending rather a hunting accident or the mean murder of an unloved spouse? Hemingway gives hitherto uninterpreted clues by mentioning strategies of big game hunting and ballistics. Carter's magic story "Master"; deals with the regression of a White Hunter who has become 'his own negative'. An Englishman dissolves into the Amazonian jungle and is killed by his own victim. The story can be read as a macabre crime of sexuality and murder or as a dystopian warning of the future of mankind if we go on exploiting and destroying our planet.

O livro compara duas importantes obras de poesia em prosa das literaturas brasileira e francesa, o Poliedro, de Murilo Mendes e o Le parti pris des choses, de Francis Ponge, publicadas respectivamente em 1972 e 1942. Para a autora, a aproximação se justifica pelo foco dado nas duas obras aos objetos mais cotidianos possíveis e, ainda, pelo posicionamento diferente dos sujeitos líricos muriliano (menos objetivo) e pongiano (mais objetivo) diante das coisas simples do mundo. O brasileiro e o francês também partilhariam de uma determinada comunidade de interesses his³ricos, literários e sociais, ainda que as obras em ques£o estejam separadas por um intervalo de publicação de trinta anos e, neste intervalo, tenham ocorrido acontecimentos políticos, sociais e ar­sticos que reverberaram inevitavelmente na literatura desses poetas. Para a autora, a própria escolha da forma do poema em prosa pelos dois autores também os uniria, na medida em que este formato contribuiu enormemente para a construção singular dos objetos, bem como das duas vozes líricas £o particulares

The present paper aims to discuss the configuration of the prose poem both in the works of Murilo Mendes' Poliedro (1972) and Francis Ponge's Le parti pris des choses (1942). From the beginning, the similarity between both works is explained by the impulse of focusing on daily objects and also the diverse positioning of the lyrical subjects in Murilo Mendes (less objective) and Francis Ponge (more objective) when they establish a relation with the simple things they wish to marvel. In accordance, the form of the prose poem helps to build this specific and singular view of the objects. Using this background to dialogue with the critical scholarly resources on both writers, we briefly analyse some poems and set out to reflect on the prose poem, which holds the works of the Brazilian and the French poets open to comparison.

Most of the hydraulic turbines that are running in the world are the Francis type, because they are able to fit a wide range of head and flow. We also can declare that most of the installed hydraulic energy up to this date is generated by this type of turbine. On the other hand, if we pay attention to mechanical details of a Francis turbine we will see that among the three most used types it is the one that presents the more complex design. And, the simplest one is the Pelton type, whereas the Kaplan is the one less utilized. This work aims to develop the hydrodynamic calculation of a Francis turbine as well as to obtain its assembly drawing and 3D modeling drawing. In this way all details must be shown therefore needing a complete knowledge about this issue. Both 2D and 3D drawings help much if one wants the machine to be running in its power house. It is well noted that most of the entities that design and manufacture the Francis turbines are not brazilian. In this way the more we study how to design this kind of machine the more is our contribution to our country in order to conquer technology and manufacture Francis turbines
