采用半定量反转录聚合酶链式反应(RT-PCR)技术研究了Cd胁迫对拟南芥(Arabidopsis thaliana)幼苗错配修复和增殖细胞核抗原基因表达的影响,并结合幼苗的形态和生理指标,选取Cd胁迫敏感的生物标记物。结果表明:不同浓度(0.25、0.5、1.0 mg.L-1)Cd处理对拟南芥幼苗叶片数、地上部鲜质量影响不大;Cd浓度为0.25 mg.L-1时,地上部分可溶性蛋白质含量明显升高(P<0.05),Cd浓度为0.5和1.0 mg.L-1时,可溶性蛋白质含量明显降低(P<0.05);叶绿素含量随着Cd浓度的增加而微弱增加(P>0.05)。Cd浓度为0.25 mg.L-1时,以18S rRNA为内参照,PCNA1、PCNA2、MSH2、MSH3、MSH6、MSH7 6个基因均出现了诱导表达,当Cd浓度增加到1.0 mg.L-1时,除了MSH6持续表达诱导及MSH3基因与对照相比表达抑制外,其他基因的表达依然出现诱导,但都低于0.5 mg.L-1Cd处理下的基因表达水平。以上结果表明,基因表达的改变可作为检测Cd污染对植物遗传毒性效应潜在有用的生物标记物。

在非生物胁迫中,高温是影响草坪植物特别是对冷季型草坪草生长和发育最重要的生态因子之一.高温胁迫会导致冷季型草坪草生长受到抑制、草坪质量下降、草坪植株体内的生理生化代谢紊乱,细胞内产生大量氧自由基,使膜脂过氧化,植株体内蛋白质变性,最后导致细胞死亡.因此,如何提高冷季型草坪草的耐热性是目前冷季型草坪在热带、亚热带地区建植能否安全越夏的重要问题.文中综述了国内外冷季型草坪草耐热性调控的研究进展,在阐明冷季型草坪草耐热性调控原理的基础上,报道了用于草坪草耐热性鉴定的形态、生态、生理和生化等指标,以及通过降低土壤温度、叶面喷施生长调节剂、施肥、灌溉和修剪等养护管理措施来提高冷季型草坪草的耐热性研究进展.

利用田间小区试验研究了不同土壤水分条件下N肥对根系生长(根长、根重和根冠比)的影响。结果表明,玉米拔节期和开花期无论水分条件如何,施N肥可增加其总根长、表层根长和根重并使根冠比下降;灌浆期施N肥可增加总根长和表层根长,但正常水分条件下N肥使根重和根冠比下降,而干旱条件下N肥对根重和根冠比则无影响。不同处理根冠比大小与N吸收和分配有很大关系。

采用液相色谱-电喷雾质谱联用(HPLC-ESI-MSn)技术,对北五味子与南五味子中木脂素类成分进行了系统研究.通过HPLC-ESI-MS技术,获得了相应化合物的保留时间、紫外光谱和分子量等信息,利用电喷雾多级串联质谱技术(ESI-MSn),获得了相应化合物的结构信息.研究结果表明,北五味子与南五味子的主要木脂素成分除5个共有成分外其它成分差异较大,并且其共有成分含量差别较大.在此基础上,建立了简便、快速的北五味子与南五味子药材分析鉴定的新方法.

A folate-conjugated copolymer PEG-PLA-PLL/folate was synthesized and mixed with pure PEG-PLA-PLL and a fluorescent model drug mFITC to prepare folate-conjugated micelles. The distribution of micelles was studied on cancer-cell-bearing mice via frozen slicing. The results show that mFITC is successfully encapsulated into folate(+) and folate(-)micelles; PEG-PLA-PLL micelles the latter can be internalized by both HeLa and CHO cells without selectivity due to their cationic surface charges, while folate(+)micelles exhibit more preferential endocytosis by HeLa cells than by CHO cells. The folate(-)micelles showed retention in both organs and tumors. The folate(+)micelles are a promising active targeting drug delivery system for FR over-expressing cells and they accumulate in tumor beds.

A poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT)/linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) alloy was prepared with a reactive extrusion method, For improved compatibility of the blending system, LLDPE grafted with acrylic acid (LLDPE-g-AA) by radiation was adopted in place of plain LLDPE. The toughness and extensibility of the PBT/LLDPE-g-AA blends, as characterized by the impact strengths and elongations at break, were much improved in comparison with the toughness and extensibility of the PBT/LLDPE blends at the same compositions. However, there was not much difference in their tensile (or flexural) strengths and moduli. Scanning electron microscopy photographs showed that the domains of PBT/LLDPE-g-AA were much smaller and their dispersions were more homogeneous than the domains and dispersions of the PBT/ T,T PE blends. Compared with the related values of the PBT/LLDPE blends, the contents and melting temperatures of the usual spherulites of PBT in PBT/LLDPE-g-AA decreased.

This article describes the design of a new type of long-path-length thin-layer cell (LPTLC), which is constructed by inserting two Teflon cell bodies into a standard cuvette. This cuvette holder enables the LPTLC to combine with photometric instrumentation conveniently. Gold, platinum, glassy carbon, and other materials can be used for the working electrode. Since no soluble adhesive material is used, the cell can meet various needs (in situ conventional and derivative W-vis, in situ circular dichroism, etc.) in both aqueous and nonaqueous systems.

The Charpy impact fracture behavior of notched specimens of phenolphthalein poly(ether ketone) (PEK-C) has been studied over a range of temperature using a JJ-20 Model instrumented impact tester. For PEK-C, there exist two temperature regions which distinguish the fracture mechanism, and the brittle fracture was preferentially governed by slip or shear bands at relatively high temperatures, but by crazes at low temperatures. The temperature dependence of the ductility index (DI) shows similar peaks to the tan delta loss. (C) 1995 John Wiley and Sons, Inc.

In this paper, the luminescence properties of Dy3+ and Eu3+ in M3Ln2 (BO3)4 (M = Ca,Sr,Ba; Ln = La, Gd, Y) were systematically studied. The hypersensitive transitions of Dy3+ and Eu3+ were investigated in relation to the host compositions; the relationship between the energy of Eu3+ charge-transfer band and M2+ ion was discussed, and the concentration quenching of Dy3+ luminescence was reported.

Characterization, morphology and thermal properties of commercial ethylene-propylene block copolymers have been studied by C-13 nuclear magnetic resonance (n.m.r.) spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (d.s.c.), dynamic mechanical analysis (d.m.a.) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results obtained show that there exists some ethylene-propylene random copolymer in the block copolymers extractable by n-heptane. The possibility of forming PP-b-PE diblock copolymer is questionable on the basis of the effects of residual propene and the chain-transfer reaction in the sequential copolymerization. A difference in the thermal properties between commercial ethylene-propylene block copolymers and PP/PE blends was noticed, which cannot be used to identify PP-b-PE diblock copolymer. The multiphase structure has been confirmed by d.m.a. and SEM, with ethylene-propylene random copolymer and polyethylene forming the domains in the matrix of polypropylene.
