O escotismo é um movimento de educação não formal, que tem como propósito contribuir e completar a educação do jovem, por meio de conceitos e valores baseados na promessa e Lei escoteira. Ajudando esse jovem a descobrir, e desenvolver seus potenciais sociais, físicos e afetivos, os preparando para a cidadania responsável, com um papel construtivo na sociedade, estimulando o contato, respeito e preservação do meio ambiente, a vida em equipe, o aprendizado através da prática e a execução de atividades variadas e atraentes. O movimento escoteiro tem como fundador um ex general inglês chamado Robert Stephnson Baden Powell, que em 1901 verificou a possibilidade de escrever para os jovens suas experiências relacionadas a sua vida e ao exército, com propósitos educacionais, surgindo assim a idéia do escotismo. Em 1907, após anos de estudos referentes a modelos educacionais e atividades para jovens, Powell escreveu um manual de adestramento intitulado “Escotismo para Rapazes”. Dentro deste contexto este estudo busca verificar as possibilidades de aplicação desses conceitos na Educação Física escolar abordando esse compromisso com o meio ambiente como forma de educação ambiental. Objetivo: O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar como o escotismo trata a questão do meio ambiente, em que medida valoriza e quais métodos e abordagens de ensino são utilizados. Para atingir tais objetivos foram ouvidos alguns escoteiros/ex-escoteiros. Metodologia: A metodologia desta pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa e foi realizada em duas etapas, sendo a primeira referente a uma pesquisa bibliográfica, e a segunda etapa tratou-se de dar voz a exescoteiros A entrevista foi realizada com 6 escoteiros/ ex-escoteiros pertencentes a diferentes grupos. A Federação de Bandeirantes do Brasil, ou Movimento Bandeirante, é uma instituição de educação não formal criada na Inglaterra, em 1909 por Robert Baden-Powell que chegou ao Brasil em 1919, onde foi expandida por Jerônima Mesquita, sendo adaptada a realidade brasileira. A instituição tem como missão “Ajudar crianças, adolescentes e jovens a desenvolverem seu potencial máximo como responsáveis cidadãos do mundo” (FEDERAÇÃO DE BANDEIRANTES DO BRASIL, 2001, p. 4) através de atividades baseadas na metodologia desenvolvida pelo fundador onde o “aprender fazendo” é base estrutural das mesmas, com regras e valores próprios, além do material didático criado por seus membros voluntários. Nesta perspectiva, este trabalho pretende analisar um dos grandes objetivos gerais, ou Áreas do Programa, que servem como apoio às ações Bandeirantes, com a finalidade de verificar se os princípios e virtudes subjacentes ao Movimento Bandeirante proporcionam a construção da autonomia moral, comparando com o referencial teórico de Jean Piaget e sua teoria do desenvolvimento moral. O estudo será realizado através de uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizando como ferramenta a análise de conteúdo. Para tanto será necessário analisar o material bibliográfico da Federação de Bandeirantes do Brasil e textos do fundador do Bandeirantismo e Escotismo, Baden-Powell, para relacioná-los com teóricos de educação moral

The Projects of Extension in dance of the State University of São Paulo- Campus Rio Claro in 1994 and 1995 with the Dance Companies: Éxciton and Contratempo respectively. From this moment, the dance has always been present on the campus of Rio Claro, is participating actively in group or even as spectators of the many presentations. This research aims to understand and analyze the influence at the participants professional formation of the two companies, already graduated and working since the Dance Companies from the beginning until today. For the development of this study will be conducted qualitative research involving literature and area of study research. The technique used for the collection is a questionnaire with open and closed questions. The research subjects students trained by Physical Education Department of the State University of São Paulo - Campus Rio Claro, active in this area of academic formation, with one participant from each Dance Company in each year of existence. Data analysis will be based on the technique of content analysis proposed by Bardin (2010). The results found that the extension projects contribute to the professional acting, because they enable exchange of experience, acquisition and incorporation of new knowledge, different from previously built on a broad vision of dance. This new framework allows the development of education/ teaching/ methodology, enabling the contact since graduating with professional practice and obtaining safety and confidence to act in the labor maker

People store data of the most different daily events, to know yourself, detect behaviors, predict events and have an strongly knowledge to take decisions. The growth of the events, results in a large amount of data colected and this data needs to be processed to get value information. This data have a temporal component from the collect process (daily, monthly or annualy) and this need to be consider on the exploration. The exploration based on temporal component can be uni-scale or multi-scale. The data mining goes toward to extract knowledge from large databases and if combined with visualization tools, the data mining can be more effective to detect information. This visualization tools display data and allow user to manipulate and change it by interaction features toward your goal. The user can combine tools and combine the steps of visualization among the tools through messages. This monograph aim to insert interactivity on AdaptaVis architecture model, developed by Shimabukuro (2004), the InfoVis, then extends its ability of exploration and provide a consistent base for the user handle data and extract information

The aim of this study was to determine the angle of motion values for hindlimbs in clinically healthy adult Santa Ines sheep using a standard goniometer. Twenty female Santa Ines sheep weighing 32–45 kg (mean30.4, SD=3.7), and aged from three to six years old were used. A standard transparent plastic goniometer was used to measure passive maximum flexion, maximum extension, and range of motion (ROM) of the shoulder, elbow, carpal, hip, stifle, and tarsal joints, in the right and left limbs. The goniometric measurements were done with the sheep awake and in a standing position. The measurements were made in triplicate by two independent investigators. In all evaluated joints there was no significant difference between the means of both sides. No significant difference was observed between measurements performed by the two investigators. The mean (± SD) values of the measurements (degrees) were: 129 ± 4 (ROM) for tarsal joint; 46 ± 4 (flexion), 146 ± 6 (extension), and 100 ± 4 (ROM) for stifle joint; 54 ± 3 (flexion), 143 ± 7 (extension), and 89 ± 5 (ROM) for hip joint. The data obtained is useful to provide objective information of the joints. More studies are necessary using other breeds

INTRODUCTION: Scoliosis is a three-dimensional deformity and it can be influenced by the use of shoe lifts and lateral inclination in order to correct postural asymmetries. OBJECTIVE: To verify the effect of the use of the shoe lifts (lower and high) unilateral (right and left) during the movement of lateral inclination (right and left) for an evaluation of the postural angles in patients with idiopathic scoliosis. METHODS: A control group with ten participants without scoliosis and an experimental group with 10 participants with idiopathic scoliosis of double curves (thoracic right and lumbar to the left). Ten reflexive markers were fixed in the spine to determine the postural angles (alpha 1=T2T4-T4T6, alpha 2=T6T8-T8T10, alpha 3=T10T12-T12L2 and alpha 4=L2L4-L4S1)... Modelagem em 3D de uma patela humana e análise de esforços utilizando o método dos elementos finitos

Throughout the history of medicine surgeons realized the importance of the patella to the functioning of the knee. The main function of the patella is to increase the mechanical efficiency of the quadriceps tendon and knee extensor mechanism. It was found that 50% to 80% of the fractures without deviation of the patella have the transversal pattern, possibly due to excessive tensile forces applied to the extensor mechanism. The purpose of this study is to analyze the loads to which a patella is submitted during a normal extension movement of knee. This analysis will be done by modeling a 3D patella and subsequent load simulation as, described in medical literature, using the finite element method

In many movies of scientific fiction, machines were capable of speaking with humans. However mankind is still far away of getting those types of machines, like the famous character C3PO of Star Wars. During the last six decades the automatic speech recognition systems have been the target of many studies. Throughout these years many technics were developed to be used in applications of both software and hardware. There are many types of automatic speech recognition system, among which the one used in this work were the isolated word and independent of the speaker system, using Hidden Markov Models as the recognition system. The goals of this work is to project and synthesize the first two steps of the speech recognition system, the steps are: the speech signal acquisition and the pre-processing of the signal. Both steps were developed in a reprogrammable component named FPGA, using the VHDL hardware description language, owing to the high performance of this component and the flexibility of the language. In this work it is presented all the theory of digital signal processing, as Fast Fourier Transforms and digital filters and also all the theory of speech recognition using Hidden Markov Models and LPC processor. We know that play is directly linked to the development and growth of the child. Thinking in this context, were created recreational spaces, more known as playrooms or toy libraries. This research seeks to understand the playful objects used in more visits with children, realized CPA, FC UNESP - Bauru. Therefore, it was necessary to identify the objects necessary to the demands of users of CPA, they were psychology trainees, fellows extension projects, graduate students, teachers and the subjects treated population served. Composed over 1000 objects, the collection must be appropriate to the needs of the CPA. The research in question is characterized as a case study, is related to our shares a scholarship project Playing in the Center for Applied Psychology - CPA, held in the collection playful and Toy CPA, FC UNESP - Bauru, used, in this case, as a field for this research. Watching the playful collection, daily, some questions have arisen about this space became in this study. The data collection period was from September 2011 to September 2012. As an instrument for data collection was mounted a notebook control in order to check the movement of the objects of the collection, also applied a questionnaire to teachers and trainees working in the CPA. At the end of the study we can say that the symbolic games and rules are the objects that are related to care provided in the CPA because of its capabilities to assist in various aspects of the development of children, with the most frequently used symbolic games with children aged 2 to 7 years and the games rules with children aged 7-12 years or more

O joelho, por suas características anatômicas e freqüente instabilidade e exposição as lesões tem o quadríceps como importante músculo a ser desenvolvido quanto ao seu trofismo e força. Composto de quatro porções distintas estas podem gerar diferentes vetores de força que podem ter relações diretas com o recrutamento de unidades motoras. O posicionamento articular, a conseqüente modificação do comprimento muscular e a intensidade da contração podem influenciar o desenvolvimento da força do quadríceps. Dentre as contrações relacionadas ao maior recrutamento de unidades motoras com o intuito do desenvolvimento de força está a contração isométrica. Dentre as contrações musculares, as isométricas têm sido frequentemente indicadas para aumentar a força e estabilidade articular em sessões de treinamento e reabilitação. Pelo exposto, o objetivo do estudo foi analisar os músculos vasto medial (VM) e vasto lateral (VL) por meio da eletromiografia de superfície durante 15s de contração isométrica a 20%, 30%, 40% e 50% da contração isométrica voluntária máxima – CIVM com o joelho a 90 graus. Foram utilizados eletrodos de superfície bipolar de Ag/AgCl, posicionados nos músculos VM e VL, um módulo de aquisição de sinais biológicos (Lynx) calibrado com ganho de 1000vezes, filtro de passa alta de 20Hz e de passa baixa de 500Hz. Uma célula de carga foi acoplada perpendicularmente à cadeira de teste especialmente desenvolvida para o estudo e utilizado uma indicador digital para retorno visual. Na análise estatística utilizou-se teste de Friedman e teste de Wilcoxon, e adotou-se nível de significância de p<0,05. Verificou-se que os músculos VM e VL foram semelhantes entre si, e entre as cargas, houve diferença significante entre as cargas de 20% e 40%, 20% e 50%, e 30% e 50% para ambos os músculos, com maior atividade nas cargas de 40% e 50% CVM...
