Deu anys de seguiment demogràfic i genètic d’Stachys maritima a Catalunya (2001-2010). Implicacions per a un pla de recuperació

Ten years of demographic and genetic monitoring of Stachys maritima in Catalonia (2001-2010). Implications for a recovery plan.- Stachys maritima is a species typical of the coastal dunes, with a wide distribution within the Mediterranean Basin. In spite of this, the species shows a clear regression. In Catalonia, it has been observed an important reduction of its populations since early 20th century, where it has disappeared from several localities in which it was relatively common (Tarragonès, Barcelonès). Herein we present the results of the demographic monitoring of the species during the last 10 years (2001-2010) in the known localities in Catalonia. Besides corroborating the disappearance (northern Sant Martí d’Empúries), the re-discovering (Llobregat Delta beach) and the detection of new populations (inner dunes of the Montgrí), a large year-to-year fluctuation of the monitored populations is stated; the possible reasons are discussed. In addition, the present work also includes the results of the allozyme diversity analysis of the new detected populations as well as the rediscoveries of the period 2004-2008, which were not included in a former study of genetic diversity carried out in 2002-2003. It is necessary to emphasize that the contribution of the new populations to the genetic diversity of Stachys maritima is very small, which can be attributed to their limited population size and /or to founder effects. Despite that the species is included in the Annex 2 (“En Perill d’Extinció”) within the Catàleg de Flora Amenaçada de Catalunya (Catalogue of Endangered Flora of Catalonia), and some “soft” conservation measures have been applied at local level (signposting of the beach accesses, environmental education, etc.) coupled with other more significant measures (e.g. translocation of individuals discovered in an artificial sandbank), it would be necessary the coordinated action and the scientific support of any initiative of conservation that could be carried out. Per fer-ho s’utilitza el punt de vista docent, l’opinió de l’alumne i un observador extern. Els punts de vista del docent i del discent es tenen en compte mitjançant un qüestionari validat per la Universitat Francisco de Vitoria de Madrid i per l’observació externa s’utilitza una eina creada on es barregen aspectes d’instruments validats com són el CBAS i el CAFIAS.

Guillem Masó, mercader de Sant Joan de les Abadesses: bestiar, draps i crèdit en una vila monàstica al darrer quart del segle XIV

El present treball es fonamenta amb el contingut del llibre particular o extraordinari del mercader Guillem Masó, de Sant Joan de les Abadesses, actiu durant la segona meitat del segle XIV. La majoria d’assentaments que conté el volum fan referència a tractes de bestiar, amb la inclusió de diverses tipologies o variants en els contractes, des de la simple compravenda fins a comandes-parceria. L’activitat del mercader Masó, tanmateix, no se centra exclusivament en aquests negocis. S’intueix una diversificació de les seves activitats que es vinculen, fonamentalment, amb la producció i comercialització de draps de llana i de lli. El context social i econòmic de la vila de Sant Joan durant aquest període afavoreix la presència d’aquests empresaris tèxtils que, per a aconseguir els seus objectius, s’introdueixen en els ressorts del poder civil de la vila i en els dels gremis i confraries que regulen i controlen els processos de fabricació dels productes

Estudo fitoquímico e avaliação da atividade moluscicida da Kielmeyera variabilis Mart (Clusiaceae)

Methanol extract obtained from Kielmeyera variabilis stems showed significant molluscicidal activity against Biomphalaria glabrata. The phytochemical studies of the plants stem to the isolation of three xanthones (assiguxanthone-B, kielcorin and 1,3,5,6-tetrahtydroxy-2-prenylxanthone) and a organic acid (2,5-dihydroxy benzoic acid). The structures of these compounds were identified by IR, MS, ¹H and 13C NMR spectral analysis and comparison with literature data.

Lignanas de Strychnos guianensis (Aublet) Mart.

The present communication reports the isolation and identification of three lignans from metanolic root extracts of Strychnos guianensis (Aublet) Mart.: olivil (1), cycloolivil (2) and the unknown derivative cycloolivil carbonate (3). From hexane extracts was identified a long chain fatty acid mixture and the triterpene lupeol. The analyses were based on chromatographic and spectroscopy techniques (IR, MS, GC/MS, ¹H-NMR and 13C-NMR, 1D (BB, DEPT 135) and 2D (¹H, ¹ H-COSY, ¹H, 13C-COSY, ¹H, 13C-COSY-LR, HMQC, HMBC and NOESY) and comparison with literature data.

“Un manuscrit miniat a la Lleida del segle XIV” ( Lleida-Sant Petersburg)

Amb la creació cap a l'any 1300 de l'Estudi General, fundació reial de Jaume II, el segle XIV va esdevenir un període brillant per a la ciutat de Lleida. La Universitat no només va suposar l'elaboració de llibres de text per als estudiants, sinó també de volums jurídics, traduccions, etc. En particular ens interessa la producció de manuscrits de luxe, dins de la qual hem de situar el Breviari d'Amor de Matfre Ermengaud, conservat a Sant Petersburg (Biblioteca Nacional de Rússia, PROV. F.v.XIV, 1, ), la qual esdevé una de les còpies més bellament il·luminades que es van realitzar de l'obra en vers de l'esmentat autor, escrita a les acaballes del segle XIII.

Saponinas triterpênicas de Tocoyena brasiliensis Mart. (Rubiaceae)

The present communication reports the isolation and identification of four triterpenoid saponins from the chloroform extract of the leaves of Tocoyena brasiliensis: 3-O-beta-D-quinovopyranosyl quinovic acid, 3-O-beta-D-quinovopyranosyl cincholic acid, 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl quinovic acid and the 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl ester derivative of quinovic acid as binary mixtures, respectively. From the ethanol extract a flavonoid identified as ramnazin-3-O-rutinoside was obtained. The structures of these compounds were assigned by data analysis of 1D and 2D NMR spectrometry and comparison with data recorded in the literature for these compounds.
