El llenguatge dels MIR en l'entrevista clínica: un aspecte del procés d'adaptació dels MIR autòctons i immigrats

Treball exploratori en què es presenta una metodologia d’anàlisi del llenguatge en la relació clínica a partir de la creació d’un Corpus, anomenat ClInt i que està a la lliure disposició de la comunitat investigadora. El corpus, comprèn 40 entrevistes enregistrades en àudio, transcrites ortogràficament i codificades de 4 MIR de primer anys de MFiC, 10 entrevistes per MIR en dos fases amb 10 mesos de diferència. En el treball descrivim les metodologies actualment disponibles per avaluar la competència comunicativa, presentem la població participant i utilitzant les eines que ofereix el corpus explorem l’evolució del vocabulari utilitzat pels MIR estudiats.

Intel·ligència emocional : una aproximació crítica

L'objectiu d'aquest treball és intentar reflexionar sobre tots aquests interrogants i redefinir el concepte d'intel·ligència al començament del segle XXI, analitzant alhora l'impacte real que la IE ha tingut i té en el món de l'empresa espanyola. En conjunt, el treball proposa una relectura del fenomen de la intel·ligència humana i recull tant les opinions de més relleu dels autors més significatius com dades empíriques que ajuden a comprendre de manera pràctica si realment hi ha hagut, o s'està produint, una autèntica mutació social en la comprensió de la intel·ligència.

Estudo morfométrico do gênero Panstrongylus Berg, 1879 (Hemiptera, Reduviidae, Triatominae)

The subfamily Triatominae is actually represented by 137 species distributed among 6 tribes and 19 genera. Within this subfamily, the genus Panstrongylus, Berg 1879, is composed by 13 species widespread in sylvatic, peridomestic, and domestic habitats of Neotropical regions. These species are vectors of Chagas disease and consequently are found associated with its main hosts, such as birds and mammals. Interest in species of this genus has been increasing in the last few years. Reports of several authors indicate these Triatominae to invade and colonize houses, increasing their epidemiological significance. Morphometry was used in this study to investigate correlations among possible closely related species. We measured 224 specimens among 13 species through a set of metric variables of the head. The results indicated that the genus Panstrongylus seems to be homogeneous since 10 of the 14 species were shown to be closely related.

Oxidative stress activation of miR-125b is part of the molecular switch for Hailey-Hailey disease manifestation.

Hailey-Hailey disease (HHD) is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by suprabasal cutaneous cell separation (acantholysis) leading to the development of erosive and oozing skin lesion. Micro RNAs (miRNAs) are endogenous post-transcriptional modulators of gene expression with critical functions in health and disease. Here, we evaluated whether the expression of specific miRNAs may play a role in the pathogenesis of HHD. Here, we report that miRNAs are expressed in a non-random manner in Hailey-Hailey patients. miR-125b appeared a promising candidate for playing a role in HHD manifestation. Both Notch1 and p63 are part of a regulatory signalling whose function is essential for the control of keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation and of note, the expression of both Notch1 and p63 is downregulated in HHD-derived keratinocytes. We found that both Notch1 and p63 expression is strongly suppressed by miR-125b expression. Additionally, we found that miR-125b expression is increased by an oxidative stress-dependent mechanism. Our data suggest that oxidative stress-mediated induction of miR-125b plays a specific role in the pathogenesis of HHD by regulating the expression of factors playing an important role in keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation.
