Quan parlem de disseny centrat en l'usuari ens referim al fet de dissenyar pensant en el que vol l'usuari. És per això que se'l consulta, per a saber què vol, què necessita, què i com li agrada més, què no li agrada, què li costa més d'entendre. Es fa, en definitiva, una avaluació del producte la finalitat del qual és ser útil i pràctic per al major nombre possible de persones. En aquest treball parlem de dissenyar pensant en l'usuari en entorns tàctils. Els entorns tàctils només són una de les moltes possibilitats que ens ofereix la interacció humana amb els ordinadors.

Especificacions, Anà lisi i Disseny d'un Programari de Gestió de Magatzems

Aquest treball de fi de carrera vol reflectir les necessitats bàsiques per al disseny d'un programari de gestió de magatzems (PGM a partir d'ara). Un PGM té la particularitat d'haver d'establir connexions entre els fluxos físics del treball propi d'un magatzem i els fluxos de dades propis d'un sistema informàtic. Les prestacions del PGM s'hauran de desenvolupar en part en terminals de radiofreqüència, ja que es considera que el treball en línia és bàsic per a gestionar un magatzem.

Toxicity at three years with and without irradiation of the internal mammary and medial supraclavicular lymph node chain in stage I to III breast cancer (EORTC trial 22922/10925).

INTRODUCTION: The EORTC 22922/10925 trial investigated the potential survival benefit and toxicity of elective irradiation of the internal mammary and medial supraclavicular (IM-MS) nodes Accrual completed in January 2004 and first results are expected in 2012. We present the toxicity reported until year 3 after treatment. PATIENTS AND METHODS: At each visit, toxicity was reported but severity was not graded routinely. Toxicity rates and performance status (PS) changes at three years were compared by chi(2) tests and logistic regression models in all the 3,866 of 4,004 patients eligible to the trial who received the allocated treatment. RESULTS: Only lung (fibrosis; dyspnoea; pneumonitis; any lung toxicities) (4.3% vs. 1.3%; p < 0.0001) but not cardiac toxicity (0.3% vs. 0.4%; p = 0.55) significantly increased with IM-MS treatment. No significant worsening of the PS was observed (p = 0.79), suggesting that treatment-related toxicity does not impair patient's daily activities. CONCLUSIONS: IM-MS irradiation seems well tolerated and does not significantly impair WHO PS at three years. A follow-up period of at least 10 years is needed to determine whether cardiac toxicity is increased after radiotherapy.

Comparació entre els llenguatges XQuery del W3C i X-Query de Tamino

Aquest treball de final de carrera vol fer un estudi comparatiu entre el llenguatge XQuery del W3C i el llenguatge X-Query de Tamino, amb una valoració de les possibilitats que ofereix aquest sistema nadiu en el treball amb XML amb relació al llenguatge de consultes sobre XML definit pel W3C.

Insulinoma associated with a case of multiple endocrine neoplasia type I: Functional somatostatin receptors and abnormal glucose-induced insulin secretion.

A sporadic case of multiple endocrine neoplasia type I with coexisting insulinoma and hyperparathyroidism was investigated in vivo and in vitro. The insulinoma was localized by somatostatin receptor scintigraphy and these receptors were functionally active. Octreotide administration decreased the basal insulin and glucagon secretion by 90 and 46%, respectively. Immunocytochemistry of the insulinoma tissue was positive for insulin, chromogranin A and neuropeptide Y. The insulinoma cells were also isolated and cultured in vitro. Incubation experiments revealed that a low glucose concentration (1 mmol/l) was sufficient to increase cytosolic free calcium and to produce a maximal glucose-induced insulin release. Northern blot analysis of RNA obtained from the tumor showed a high abundance of the low Km glucose transporter GLUT1 but no transcript for the high Km glucose transporter GLUT2. The abnormal distribution of glucose transporters probably relates to the abnormal glucose sensing of insulinoma cells, and explains their sustained insulin secretion at low glucose concentrations. Whether these abnormalities share a pathogenetic link with the presence of functionally active somatostatin receptors remains to be elucidated.

A-kinase-anchoring protein-Lbc anchors I&#954;B kinase β to support interleukin-6-mediated cardiomyocyte hypertrophy.

In response to stress, the heart undergoes a pathological remodeling process associated with hypertrophy and the reexpression of a fetal gene program that ultimately causes cardiac dysfunction and heart failure. In this study, we show that A-kinase-anchoring protein (AKAP)-Lbc and the inhibitor of NF-κB kinase subunit β (IKKβ) form a transduction complex in cardiomyocytes that controls the production of proinflammatory cytokines mediating cardiomyocyte hypertrophy. In particular, we can show that activation of IKKβ within the AKAP-Lbc complex promotes NF-κB-dependent production of interleukin-6 (IL-6), which in turn enhances fetal gene expression and cardiomyocyte growth. These findings provide a new mechanistic hypothesis explaining how hypertrophic signals are coordinated and conveyed to interleukin-mediated transcriptional reprogramming events in cardiomyocytes.

Definició d'un procés de gestió de projectes que compleixi amb el model d'avaluació i millora de processos CMM a Nivell 3

Aquest TFC vol fer una presentació del model CMM, presentar un sistema de gestió que cobreixi els seus requeriments a nivell 3, fer una proposta de desplegament i avaluar els costos i els beneficis de l'adopció del nou sistema de gestió per a una empresa dedicada al desenvolupament i el manteniment de programari. El resultat del treball és la memòria en si i els seus annexos.

Creació d'un entorn web de treball per a una biblioteca : Fent ús de Struts, Tiles i Hibernate

El següent projecte final de carrera vol assolir assolir la creació d'un entorn web de treball per a una Biblioteca. L'aplicació al món real es base en un mòdul administratiu, que podrà ser utilitzat pels treballadors de la pròpia Biblioteca i un mòdul que servirà de consulta als socis.

La finalitat d'aquest projecte consisteix a establir una metodologia d'avaluació i disseny d'un test d'usuari. Es vol no només avaluar un lloc web en concret, sinó també establir una sèrie de pautes que es puguin aplicar a qualsevol altra aplicació futura.
