O presente estudo teve como objetivo verificar e apontar quais so as prticas de gesto do conhecimento e as ferramentas de tecnologia da informação e comunicao a ela associadas, mais utilizadas em empresas atuantes na indstria de software no Brasil. Para tanto, foi delineado um estudo descritivo de natureza quantitativa que teve como mtodo de pesquisa o levantamento de informaes junto a essas empresas. Assim, foram aplicados questionrios a 319 funcionrios de 15 empresas de software de grande e mdio porte atuantes no Brasil. Como resultados, as prticas de gesto do conhecimento mais verificadas so, nesta ordem de prioridade: reunies e conferncias virtuais, treinamentos virtuais, treinamentos presenciais, e-learning, call center/help desk/suporte online, portal corporativo, biblioteca corporativa, sistema de avaliao, centros de inovao, mapeamento de processos e, por fim, gesto da inovao. Outra forma de analisar os resultados encontrados considera uma viso baseada nas diferentes dimenses de prticas de gesto do conhecimento. Nesse contexto, a categoria de prticas de gesto do conhecimento que mais se evidenciou na pesquisa foi a dimenso estratgia. H de se ressaltar que as prticas tratadas isoladamente obtiveram um comportamento diverso das prticas agrupadas em dimenses. Assim, no necessariamente o desempenho de determinada dimenso (e suas respectivas prticas) coincide com o desempenho das prticas isoladamente. J no tocante s ferramentas de tecnologia da informação e comunicao empregadas na gesto do conhecimento das empresas pesquisadas, as mais indicadas pelos respondentes foram: e-mail, telefone via internet, telefone celular/rdio, intranet; servidores web e navegadores, telefone fixo, mensagens instantneas; portal corporativo e treinamento baseado em computador. Alm da observao das ferramentas isoladamente, tambm foi possvel apurar o desempenho das diferentes dimenses de ferramentas de tecnologia da informação e comunicao voltadas gesto do conhecimento. Assim, a categoria de ferramentas que demonstrou maior influncia foi a dimenso inteligncia artificial. Tambm aqui deve-se atentar para o fato de que a observao individual das ferramentas acaba por oferecer um resultado diverso do apurado quanto aos indicadores agrupados em dimenses. Em funo disso, h de se sublinhar que o desempenho de determinada ferramenta, de forma independente, pode no coincidir com o desempenho de sua respectiva dimenso.

A partir da filosofia pragmatista de William James a qual valoriza a noo de fragmentao e a juno disjuntiva de fragmentos, bem como a partir da filosofia francesa do ps-68 delineou-se a noo de documento como agenciamento permitindo assim traar a evoluo de protocolos para a descrio bibliogrfica desde o AACR, passando pelo modelo conceitual FRBR, RDA e chegando Web Semntica onde so identificadas estruturas rizomticas de representao do conhecimento.

A proposta deste texto conceber a biblioteca como um territrio de experimentaes criativas agenciadas pelas tecnologias e redes digitais. Buscamos sustentao terica nas investigaes sobre os processos de produo de subjetividade a partir de uma perspectiva heterogentica para problematizao dos dispositivos tecnolgicos nas bibliotecas. A discusso dessas abordagens permitiram reconfigurar a biblioteca como equipamento coletivo de prticas criativas e transversais atravs de experimentaes tecnoestticas. Assim, propomos o conceito de Tecnologias Criativas em Bibliotecas para ampliao do debate acerca dos dispositivos tecnolgicos como potncia esttica nas bibliotecas.

Analisa as prticas de mediao desenvolvidas nas bibliotecas universitrias pelos bibliotecrios diante das tecnologias digitais. Para tanto estabelece como objetivo geral analisar de forma comparativa, o impacto e mediao das tecnologias digitais no funcionamento de bibliotecas Universitrias de Portugal e da regio Nordeste do Brasil. Integraram esta pesquisa 10 universidades federais brasileiras e 12 universidades pblicas portuguesas, com um total geral de 115 bibliotecrios, que so os sujeitos participantes. uma pesquisa qualitativa que adota o mtodo quadripolar recomendado para os trabalhos desenvolvidos no mbito das Cincias Sociais Aplicadas, e em especial na rea de Cincia da Informação. Atravs da interao entre os polos: epistemolgico, terico, tcnico e morfolgico, que fundamentam este mtodo, houve o fortalecimento e a fluidez das questes estudadas. Os resultados dos questionrios aplicados aos bibliotecrios, bem como da anlise dos stios das bibliotecas pesquisadas, foram interpretados atravs de um alicerce terico baseado em trs pontos principais: as questes paradigmticas que envolvem a rea de Cincia da Informação, a anlise da mediao ps-custodial informacional e cientfica e as Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicao presentes nas bibliotecas. Como principais resultados vemos que o impacto das tecnologias digitais nas bibliotecas universitrias considerado pelos bibliotecrios brasileiros e portugueses como positivo, com nfase em dois pontos: a inovao dos suportes de informação e a autossuficincia dos utilizadores. A maior diferena se percebe em relao ao aspecto social, atravs de uma maior preocupao entre os bibliotecrios brasileiros com as barreiras informacionais causadas por questes econmica, social e educacional e sentido com menos intensidade pelos bibliotecrios portugueses, que ascendem as tecnologias digitais com mais facilidade. De forma conclusiva, a anlise do impacto e a mediao das tecnologias digitais nas bibliotecas pesquisadas, apontam para uma evoluo nas prticas mediadoras das bibliotecas universitrias de Portugal e do Nordeste do Brasil e uma convergncia laboral entre os bibliotecrios portugueses e brasileiros.

Some authors have shown the need of understanding the technological structuring process in contemporary firms. From this perspective, the software industry is a very important element because it provides products and services directly to many organizations from many fields. In this case, the Brazilian software industry has some peculiarities that distinguish it from other industries located in developed countries, which makes its understanding even more relevant. There is evidence that local firms take different strategies and structural configurations to enter into a market naturally dominated by large multinational firms. Therefore, this study aims to understand not only the structural configurations assumed by domestic firms but also the dynamic and the process that lead to these different configurations. To do so, this PhD dissertation investigates the institutional environment, its entities and the isomorphic movements, by employing an exploratory, descriptive and explanatory multiple cases study. Eight software development companies from the Recife's information technology Cluster were visited. Also, a form was applied and an interview with one of the main firm s professional was conducted. Although the study is predominantly qualitative, part of the data was analyzed through charts and graphs, providing a companies and environment overview that was very useful to analysis done through the interviews interpretation. As a result, it was realized that companies are structured around hybrids business models from two ideal types of software development companies, which are: software factory and technology-based company. Regarding the development process, it was found that there is a balanced distribution between the traditional and agile development paradigm. Among the traditional methodologies, the Rational Unified Process (RUP) is predominant. The Scrum is the most used methodology among the organizations based on the Agile Manifesto's principles. Regarding the structuring process, each institutional entity acts in such way that generates different isomorphic pressure. Emphasis was given to entities such as customers, research agencies, clusters, market-leading businesses, public universities, incubators, software industry organizations, technology vendors, development tool suppliers and manager s school and background because they relate themselves in a close way with the software firms. About this relationship, a dual and bilateral influence was found. Finally, the structuring level of the organizational field has been also identified as low, which gives a chance to organizational actors of acting independently

The objective of this study was to analyze if the pro equity program of gender and race in the PMC, changed the perception of the servants on the conception of sexual division of labor. The sexual division of labor is the concept that allows identifying and understanding the hierarchical relations (principal of hierarchization) based on the attribution of social and economic value most male occupations in relation female, besides that, considerers the female works secondary and her salary supplement to the family income. And the principle of separation identifying the places occupies by man and woman in the institution (productive, reproductive, and domestic work) agreeing with the historical and social construction that associates woman to occupational sectors like mastertship, nursering and social assistance, considered an extension of the family functions like taking care and family affections. And the man is associate to engineer, technology information and occupations related to exact science all professions associate to reason, creating a bias of gender in labor relations. To identify possible inequalities of gender in the work ambiance, I have compared the initial basic duration of some careers, the ascension process to higher positions and the salary that both servants and servers in the PMC. Was also investigated the perception of implements and beneficiaries of the program, over the sexual labor division. The methodology used for conduct the investigation was the qualitative research interpretive character using the structured and semi structured interviewed as instruments of data collect. The interview was divided in two groups, to follow: a) implements of pro-equity program of gender and race and b) professors and engineers beneficiaries. The analyzes of documents provided by the Secretaria de Politcas para as Mulheres da Presidncia da Repblica and by the PMC complemented the investigative path of this research. Bring as result a perception of beneficiaries servants and implementing on a policy which provides for cultural changes in the institution and in the management of people. It should be noted that the program foresees that in its objectives identify the discriminatory relations of race, sexual orientation, generation and disable person who were not examined in this study. Factor that enables the continuation of the investigation process and is a suggestion for a future research.

Increasingly, the Information Technology is used in the society, including the private, public and third sector organizational context. Technological tools are created in order to speed, automate, control and monitor processes. These technologies generate impacts on areas that permeate their use and the objective of this study is to investigate the implementation process of the Eletronic Invoice and the impacts arising from this technological tool in companies. For that, case studies have been conducted in three companies that emit and receive Eletronic Invoice, in a Information System consultancy, that provides softwares of Eletronic Invoice, and in a State Tax Department. Data collection was performed with organizations representatives through electronic questionnaires. The study concludes that it is expected, by the investigated organizations, that the tool reaches the benefits offered by the Tax Administration. However, these benefits have not been identified yet and neither have the use of methodologies in order to identify them. Moreover, the main impact found was the need for better training and participants technical qualification, followed by reducing printing costs and paper purchase

This dissertation aims to describe the practices of Information Technology Green contributing to sustainable development, in computers and textile industries in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The goal is to understand the importance and contribution of IT Green for sustainable development. The research methodology used involved a survey of the theoretical approach prepared, involving two case studies in industries of Rio Grande do Norte. The analysis was supported by an analysis of content, which allowed the understanding of the phenomenon of the Information Technology Green sustainable development in the case studies. In conclusion, is that the Green Information Technology contributes to sustainable development, even so through incipient aspects that highlight the competitive business with a focus on cost reduction, and efforts in sustainable practices

Companies have always been organized by processes, often imperceptible to its employees. With the advancement of technology, organizational processes currently run an organization through computers, and thus generate immediate information that is available to each sector. With the objective of seeking business information in real time, the government created the SPED - Public System of Digital, which involves three subsystems, which are the Electronic Invoice, Digital Accounting Bookkeeping and Digital Tax Bookkeeping. This system is revolutionizing the business structures when gathering, in an innovative way, all information and interlinked business processes. For the implementation of SPED, a revision in the organizational processes is required, since the information is generated and is sent online to the government, without mistakes. Thus the study aimed to analyze the change brought about by the implementation of the Public System of Digital SPED in the main business processes. In order to do so, we have performed a multiple case study involving three companies in the state of Para, two operate in wholesale and one explores agribusiness. The Data collection was performed by accounting professionals, IT and managers. According to the results obtained, it was found that in two companies, the IT infrastructure was capable of deploying the new system without major problems, while one company had more difficulties to cope with the new system. However, all companies had to examine its processes to make the customizations needed to fit. It was also observed that there is no IT Governance in two companies. Therefore, we recommend the use of an appropriate model, not only for the implementation of SPED, but as a way to manage and extract better results from investment in information technology

O Plano Tecnolgico de Educao (PTE) pretendeu equipar tecnologicamente as escolas pblicas de Portugal continental, procurando introduzir, por essa via, alteraes e inovao no ensino e na aprendizagem. Neste contexto, importa destacar o papel que os coordenadores do PTE tiveram localmente, j que foram os responsveis pela sua implementao dentro das escolas. Focmos assim a nossa investigao na figura dos CPTE, de forma a percebermos como o PTE tinha sido implementado e liderado nas escolas. Partimos de um enquadramento do problema, perspetivado em torno de trs temas: a construo do Plano Tecnolgico de Educao, destacando os seus trs eixos e projetos, a problemtica da incorporao das tecnologias de informação e comunicao na educao e o papel da liderana em projetos de inovao e mudana. O estudo emprico realizado apoiou-se fundamentalmente em mtodos quantitativos, complementado por elementos qualitativos. Foi aplicado um inqurito a uma amostra com representao nacional, de 100 CPTE, de agrupamentos de escolas e escolas no agrupadas de Portugal continental com ensino secundrio. Este inqurito permitiu perceber quem foram estes coordenadores ao definirmos o seu perfil relativamente s suas caractersticas pessoais e profissionais, s suas competncias nas dimenses previstas para a funo, bem como sua liderana, neste caso concreto atravs da utilizao do MLQ, de Bass & Avolio. Permitiu ainda determinar as condies de implementao do PTE e os principais constrangimentos. Os resultados obtidos comprovaram que nem todos os objetivos inicialmente propostos para o PTE foram concludos ou implementados. No entanto, o balano a nvel tecnolgico e de gesto bastante positivo e menos a nvel pedaggico. A liderana desempenhada pela generalidade dos CPTE enquadrou-se no perfil ideal identificado por Avolio & Bass (1995), onde as caractersticas de liderana transformacional so as mais manifestadas, complementando-se com algumas de liderana transacional.

This study aimed to examine how students perceives the factors that may influence them to attend a training course offered in the distance virtual learning environment (VLE) of the National School of Public Administration (ENAP). Thus, as theoretical basis it was used the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the result of an integration of eight previous models which aimed to explain the same phenomenon (acceptance/use of information technology). The research approach was a quantitative and qualitative. To achieve the study objectives were made five semi-structured interviews and an online questionnaire (websurvey) in a valid sample of 101 public employees scattered throughout the country. The technique used to the analysis of quantitative data was the structural equation modeling (SEM), by the method of Partial Least Square Path Modeling (PLS-PM). To qualitative data was the thematic content analysis. Among the results, it was found that, in the context of public service, the degree whose the individual believes that the use of an AVA will help its performance at work (performance expectancy) is a factor to its intended use and also influence its use. Among the results, it was found that the belief which the public employee has in the use of a VLE as a way to improve the performance of his work (performance expectation) was determinant for its intended use that, in turn, influenced their use. It was confirmed that, under the voluntary use of technology, the general opinion of the student s social circle (social influence) has no effect on their intention to use the VLE. The effort expectancy and facilitating conditions were not directly related to the intended use and use, respectively. However, emerged from the students speeches that the opinions of their coworkers, the ease of manipulate the VLE, the flexibility of time and place of the distance learning program and the presence of a tutor are important to their intentions to do a distance learning program. With the results, it is expected that the managers of the distance learning program of ENAP turn their efforts to reduce the impact of the causes of non-use by those unwilling to adopt voluntarily the e-learning, and enhance the potentialities of distance learning for those who are already users

New technologies appear each moment and its use can result in countless benefits for that they directly use and for all the society as well. In this direction, the State also can use the technologies of the information and communication to improve the level of rendering of services to the citizens, to give more quality of life to the society and to optimize the public expense, centering it in the main necessities. For this, it has many research on politics of Electronic Government (e-Gov) and its main effect for the citizen and the society as a whole. This research studies the concept of Electronic Government and wishes to understand the process of implementation of Free Softwares in the agencies of the Direct Administration in the Rio Grande do Norte. Moreover, it deepens the analysis to identify if its implantation results in reduction of cost for the state treasury and intends to identify the Free Software participation in the Administration and the bases of the politics of Electronic Government in this State. Through qualitative interviews with technologies coordinators and managers in 3 State Secretaries it could be raised the ways that come being trod for the Government in order to endow the State with technological capacity. It was perceived that the Rio Grande do Norte still is an immature State in relation to practical of electronic government (e-Gov) and with Free Softwares, where few agencies have factual and viable initiatives in this area. It still lacks of a strategical definition of the paper of Technology and more investments in infrastructure of staff and equipment. One also observed advances as the creation of the normative agency, the CETIC (State Advice of Technology of the Information and Communication), the Managing Plan of Technology that provide a necessary diagnosis with the situation how much Technology in the State and considered diverse goals for the area, the accomplishment of a course of after-graduation for managers of Technology and the training in BrOffice (OppenOffice) for 1120 public servers

Advances related to information technology are visible and inherent to the management of contemporary organizations, regardless of industrial action. Synchronized with this dynamic, educational institutions are incorporating technological tools that assist its management and academic support to teachers in teaching and interaction with the students. Given that technological innovations are not always taken homogeneously and with the same degree of coverage, remain current and relevant studies on how these technologies are being used in academia. The objective of this research is to identify the usage profile of the functionality of a virtual learning environment related to teaching (undergraduate or postgraduate), demographic variables (age and gender) and institutional (time of admission and academic center of origin.) The methodology applied to the study is descriptive and quantitative. The research is characterized as census, covering all 2152 teachers of undergraduate and graduate students of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, who accessed the virtual classes of the Integrated Management of Academic Activities. The study findings revealed that there is a statistically significant difference regarding the use of these tools to teachers who work with undergraduate (49.3%) compared to graduate (6.6%). Regarding gender, women (40.1%) use the system more than men (38.5%). It was also observed that the younger teachers, aged 37 years, are the most active users (42.5%) of the Virtual Class with respect to their elders. For teachers with up to three years time of admission to the UFRN, the pattern of use is more advanced than those with more seniority, as well as the faculty of the Center for Science and Technology are the least likely to use the tools available in relation to other academic centers. It is hoped that with this study managers can direct actions to improve and expand the use of this environment by teachers

The research aimed to evaluate the level of maturity of the project management office of the Public Ministry of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, on the model PMO Maturity Cube. It was based on a theoretical framework that includes project management, project management office and maturity of the project management office. The research was classified as to the purpose as exploratory and descriptive. According to the methods used was a case study, and how to approach is qualitative and quantitative. The research unit was the prosecutor of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, by two guys who represent all of the participants in the project management office of the institution. These subjects were chosen because they act with the office since the foundation of the same, having the knowledge necessary to deepen the research required, and experience with projects and work experience in the area. Data were collected through an adaptation of the evaluation form for the amplitude corporate developed and presented to the scientific environment for Pinto, Cota and Levin (2010). The results revealed that the level of maturity in the current strategic approach is 77%, and 97% desired; tactical approach in current is 66% and 97% desired, and the current operational approach is 78%, and 100% desired. He pointed out that several factors influence the level of maturity of the project management office of the Public Prosecutor and the recurrent related to information technology, regarding the storage and sharing of information. Concluded that the level of maturity of the project management office of the Public Ministry of the State of Rio Grande do Norte is advanced

This work aims to analyze risks related to information technology (IT) in procedures related to data migration. This is done considering ALEPH, Integrated Libray System (ILS) that migrated data to the Library Module present in the software called Sistema Integrado de Gesto de Atividades Acadmicas (SIGAA) at the Zila Mamede Central Library at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) in Natal/Brazil. The methodological procedure used was of a qualitative exploratory research with the realization of case study at the referred library in order to better understand this phenomenon. Data collection was able once there was use of a semi-structured interview that was applied with (11) subjects that are employed at the library as well as in the Technology Superintendence at UFRN. In order to examine data Content analysis as well as thematic review process was performed. After data migration the results of the interview were then linked to both analysis units and their system register with category correspondence. The main risks detected were: data destruction; data loss; data bank communication failure; user response delay; data inconsistency and duplicity. These elements point out implication and generate disorders that affect external and internal system users and lead to stress, work duplicity and hassles. Thus, some measures were taken related to risk management such as adequate planning, central management support, and pilot test simulations. For the advantages it has reduced of: risk, occurrence of problems and possible unforeseen costs, and allows achieving organizational objectives, among other. It is inferred therefore that the risks present in data bank conversion in libraries exist and some are predictable, however, it is seen that librarians do not know or ignore and are not very worried in the identification risks in data bank conversion, their acknowledge would minimize or even extinguish them. Another important aspect to consider is the existence of few empirical research that deal specifically with this subject and thus presenting the new of new approaches in order to promote better understanding of the matter in the corporate environment of the information units
