A Estratégia de Saúde da Família (ESF) é a principal modalidade para enfrentar grande parte da demanda de saúde da sociedade. A aproximação entre sociedade e os profissionais da atenção básica (AB) é de enorme potencial, cuja a experiência pode ampliar a visão, cultura e saber de ambas as partes. Esse trabalho objetiva demonstrar a importância das medidas de educação em saúde como forma de acolhimento aos usuários da atenção básica de saúde, tendo como meta o estabelecimento de vínculo com a equipe multiprofissional da unidade. Na observação da realidade da Unidade Básica de Saúde da Família do Rosário, município de Teresópolis, evidenciou-se uma urgente necessidade de reformulação dos padrões de acolhimento. Dessa forma, através de uma análise do comportamento, observou-se que o relacionamento entre a equipe e os usuários baseava-se em uma relação de consumo. A metodologia utilizada foi a revisão bibliográfica de artigos que abrangessem as temáticas “educação e saúde”, acolhimento” e “humanização”, e uma experiência prática com formação de grupos e alterações na rotina da unidade. Sendo assim, o objetivo maior da adoção da postura de acolhimento humanizada é agregar os pacientes à equipe profissional, estabelecendo uma relação de confiança e credibilidade que viabilize um convívio continuo. O resultado hora esperado é buscar, através da consolidação de grupos de educação em saúde, o estabelecimento de uma relação que possa permitir avaliar, reformular e progredir com propostas terapêuticas e assistências a longo prazo, atendo-se a essência da política de humanização que busca qualidade ao invés de quantidade.

O parasitismo intestinal ainda se constitui um dos mais sérios problemas de Saúde Pública e afeta principalmente as crianças em idade escolar. O município de Santos Dumont, notadamente a Unidade Básica São Vicente de Paula, apresenta um número considerável de famílias que não adota hábitos de higiene e não utilizam água filtrada. Aliado a este fato, há falta de ações preventivas e de promoção à saúde em relação a esta temática, tanto nas escolas quanto na unidade de saúde. O objetivo deste trabalho foi elaborar um plano de intervenção para o enfrentamento deste problema através de realização de atividades educativas com o objetivo de orientar os alunos, pais ou responsáveis acerca das parasitoses intestinais mais frequentes na população e os métodos de prevenção dessas doenças. Para a fundamentação teórica, foi realizada uma busca junto a Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), LILACS (Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde), MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) e SCIELO (Scientific Eletronic Library Online), além de livros, monografias, teses e manuais do Ministério da Saúde, em português e inglês, entre os anos de 2009 e 2013. Com o resultado desse projeto esperamos contribuir para minimizar problemas na saúde pública relacionados à prevalência de doenças parasitárias na comunidade local e despertar o interesse de outros agentes sociais para desenvolverem projetos que estejam relacionados com estas questões e, principalmente, os poderes públicos, para que estes desenvolvam política de saúde mais eficientes no combate às doenças infecto-contagiosas que afetam a comunidade

Este estudo teve como objetivo elaborar projeto de intervenção voltado para prevenção de complicações decorrentes de gravidez de alto risco. Para elaboração da proposta de intervenção foram realizadas ações em três etapas: diagnóstico situacional, revisão bibliográfica e elaboração do plano de ação. Constatou-se que o trabalho educativo da ESF sobre sexualidade, riscos e complicações da gravidez, do aborto, do acesso à contracepção e de uma ampla política de planejamento familiar são imprescindíveis e, podem influenciar na diminuição da proporção de gravidez nos grupo de riscos, os autores pesquisados enfatizaram ainda, como uma modalidade de escolha para a promoção da saúde, o trabalho grupal, que se caracteriza como uma ótima estratégia para trabalhar com grupos de riscos ampliando sua capacidade de gestão do seu processo de saúde-doença. Conclui-se que ações educativas cujo conteúdo seja informar as pacientes sobre riscos e prejuízos de uma gravidez de alto risco, bem como sobre sua prevenção são oportunas como medidas de promoção da saúde desenvolvidas pela ESF

This text offers some contributions to the debate on the changes proposed to the National Curricular Directives to reform secondary education in Brazil. In the first part, the political and economic scene is evaluated as the context which generated the last stage of reforms in the educational field in the 90s. It questions the option for a model of structural reform (in the Brazilian case more restricted to the Program for Reform of Professional Education - PROEP) and of the curriculum, whose themes find their justification in the contemporary economic, social cultural and political context. It discusses the use of a model that bases itself on experiences developed in other countries and takes the international orientation of the multilateral organizations as its theoretical methodological reference, leaving out the peculiarities and injunctions of the Brazilian political administrative system. Such a policy measure can increase the tension and distance normally existing between government programs and the possibility of their real implementation in the school network. In the second part, it discusses the Resolution of the National Education Council, the Congress on Basic Education, no.3, of 16.698 that instituted the National Curricular Directives for secondary education, as well as the Legal Bases - Part I - of the National Curricular Parameters for secondary education. The analysis of official discourse takes Bardin's (1977, p. 209) proposals as its methodological reference for the models of structural analysis, seeking to make the implicit values and the connotations of the legal texts explicit

The goals of this study are to identify the potencialities avaiable in elementary public schools for the development of an educational process wich includes environmental issues helpping to find its integration with university in order to contribuite raises teaching levels for a better comprehension of regional environmental problems. Research data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with geography teachers analyising theirs activities and perspectives on the environmental crisis and environmental education. The study also offers sugestions for the devellopment of interdisciplinaires programs trying to contibute for the construction of citizenship showing the importance of better comprehension from environmental problems which includes physical, economics, social, political and cultural aspects.

This article is divided into two parts. The first presents two abstract arguments that constitute the starting point for the development of the second part, which is directed towards discussing some aspects of the distance learning policies, i.e., the role of public authorities in encouraging and shaping this type of education. First of all, it is intended to establish some assumptions to understand the emergence of this phenomenon and some of its conditioning factors and consequences; then to suggest some analytical tools to allow us to reflect on public policy in this area.

This article takes the concepts of biopower and governmentality as the starting point for an analysis of certain recent Brazilian government documents about the introduction of Philosophy as a subject in secondary school. In the 1980s, this argument centered on Philosophy's so-called criticism and its potential for preparing citizens for a democratic society, was used by the movements aimed to restore democracy in Brazil. This argument appears to have been assimilated by the Brazilian government, because it is stated in the Guidelines and Bases of Education Law, secondary school students should demonstrate knowledge of philosophy necessary for the exercise of citizenship. The argument also appears in documents such as the PCN and PCN+ (National Curricular Parameters) and OCEM (Curriculum Guidelines for Secondary School) in their chapters on Philosophy. These documents are examined here in the light of governmentality, making explicit how Philosophy is equipped to train young people according to what is understood as a modern democratic society.

This work indicates presuppositions for the qualitative research in Physical Education, starting with a literature review based on the cultural frame of reference. Firstly, we introduce the debate concerning the natural and the human sciences and implications for the Physical Education; we then use a cultural axis as a ground basis for the research in the area, proposing the 'dense description' as a possibility for knowledge building; finally, we bring up examples of studies conducted with such an approach. This theoretical methodological approach allows the study of the human being as a cultural being, thus opposed to the naturalised view of a human - predominant in Physical Education.

The work aims to present an overview of social movements in actuality, in the Latin America, and presents a mapping of their main forms in Brazil. The search ponders the educational character of their actions, both for its participants, as for society in general and public agencies. The basic premise of assertion that social movements are sources of innovation and knowledge-generating arrays. However, because it is not an isolated process but social-political character, the paper search joints in the network of relationships that establish movements in political, economic and socio-cultural country, to understand the factors that generate learning built and values of political culture that are being built. . The text highlights movements that occurs in the areas of education - formal and non-formal education.

The purpose of this article is to introduce elements that allow building an interface between the academic research and the programs of basic education for youngsters and adults. It discusses contributions to these programs that can be found in the results of qualitative research studies. To this end, results of a five-year long project on teacher education are used, which aim was that of analyzing the interaction between teacher and student in youngster and adult literacy classes. The research project was conducted in natural contexts with the purpose of understanding a given social reality, and not of establishing general laws. Therefore, the credibility of its results was built through the observation of multiple contexts, and the gathering of data was made through various methods, from the perspective of several participants observed during a prolonged period of time. This empirical basis was used to evaluate recommendations contained in the report commissioned by Unesco to the International Literacy Institute for presentation at the World Forum on Education held in 2000 in Dakar. This report proposed that the continuous attendance of students to basic education programs is one of the great challenges of the new millennium. With respect to the problem of adult evasion from courses and programs, the article discusses the motivation and accessibility factors, pointed out in official documents as relevant factors to the success or failure of the programs.

We present and discuss in this article some features of a research program whose central object of investigation is the way in which the recent fields of history, philosophy, and sociology of mathematical education could take part in a critical and qualified manner in the initial and continuing training of teachers in this area. For that, we endorse the viewpoint that the courses for mathematics teacher education should be based on a conception of specificity through which a new pedagogical project could be established. In such project those new fields of investigation would participate, in an organic and clarifying way, in the constitution of multidimensional problematizations of school practices, in which mathematics would be involved, and that would be guided by academic investigations about the issues that currently challenge teachers in the critical work of incorporation, resignification, production, and transmission of mathematical culture in the context of the school institution.
