The present study aimed to know the training and guidance for managers and teachers in sexuality, in order to ascertain whether there was a demand for a training course covering these topics. The participants of this study of the qualitative and quantitative nature were managers and teachers of a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, more precisely 40 professionals who were invited to participate in a study by answering a questionnaire with semi-enclosed 20 questions. The purpose of this instrument was to know their training and information on sexuality. In general, in various questions about the trajectory of these professionals, contained in the questionnaire, it was evident the lack of training in sexuality and related issues, denouncing the training demand in this area. Considering this, it was developed and implemented a training course on sexuality for these professionals, which was conceived to treat different subjects in order to instigate in them a rethinking about the importance of sex education in the school environment. The results obtained so far show the mobilization of them in order to implement the proposed sex education in the school where they are working. Anyway, we know that there is much to do considering contributing in training of sexuality education, but this initiative shows that it necessary to provide more opportunities for initial and continuing education for these professionals.

The integration of research in teaching practices assumes increasing importance and complexity in education. One aspect involved in this issue and poorly investigated is the training of teachers for the development of research linked with their practices. In this context, we present a training for research developed on a distance-learning course in the Science Teaching, which involves the design, implementation and analysis of didactic sequences: the Study Guide to the Initiation of the Term Paper (SGITP). Our research goal is to present a training proposal produced from the results collected from a survey of the literature of the area, and to investigate its application and its results in the teachers' continuing education program. Using data extracted from the production of students and tutors, we concluded that SGITP had a good acceptance among them and it was positively evaluated by teachers, in addition to promoting a greater understanding of research.

Currently, we can observe a significant increase in the disappointment of the world population about education, which raised doubts about the current school system and resulted in a forced increase of interest in an education reconstruction. The investigation process of this research based itself in the qualitative exploratory approach, since it allows the interpretation of the reality of the investigated environment, and it is concern about the process and not the quantification of data. Five professionals who work for the prefecture in the city of Bauru participated in this study and they graduated in the third module of the continuing education of the department of physical education from UNESP/Bauru, which occur in the second semester of 2010. The purpose of the present study was to identify the reasons why teachers who work for the prefecture in the city of Bauru look for the continuing education in physical education and explore their expectations and perception about the course. Considering the analysis presented in this study, we can observe that the search for continuing education based itself in issues such as: the confusion that exists between theory and practice, where the teachers exemplifies that, after their initial education, theory was not consistent with the real needs of their pedagogical practice; the entry of students younger and younger in the infant and fundamental education; the search for contents that answer the needs of psychomotor development of children between 2 and 5 years old and, at the same time, contents for the inclusion of children with special needs; as well as political pedagogical issues. Even though the reasons presented in this research for the teachers to justify the search for the continuing education in physical education were of distinct natures, at the end we observed that the teachers had their expectations fulfilled, demonstrating that the course of continuing education can be a space of dialog...
