Comentario de la STSJC 1/2009, de 12 de enero de 2009, en el cual se aborda la cuestión de si en el cómputo del plazo de 10 años para la adquisición de la vecindad civil por residencia se puede o no incluir el tiempo en que el interesado es menor de edad, a propósito del artículo 225.2 del Reglamento del Registro Civil.

L'herència insolvent

La insolvència de l'herència o del causant ha estat afrontada amb tècniques diverses en tots els ordenaments jurídics. La Llei concursal (Llei 22/2003, de 9 de juliol, a partir d'ara, LCon) es refereix en alguns articles al que s'ha anomenat concurs de l'herència, la qual cosa no vol dir que solucioni, ni de bon tros, els problemes que sorgeixen de la insolvència. En aquest treball només intento identificar alguns dels problemes que la Llei concursal deixa sense resoldre i el que succeeix quan es posen en relació les normes concursals amb el Codi de successions i molt especialment, amb la institució del benefici d¿inventari, així com les regles de la LEC, ja complexes per elles mateixes. Aquest treball, per tant, s��ha de considerar un working paper en sentit estricte: sempre resulta molt difícil iniciar una matèria en la qual la bibliografia és pràcticament inexistent.

Els Factors competitius de les pimes a Catalunya

El principal objectiu d'aquest estudi és reflectir quins s��n els principals factors competitius per a les pymes a Catalunya. Per això, es va escollir una mostra de 1000 empreses de diferents sectors i amb els límits que marca la Unió Europea per a definir una pyme. A partir d'aquí, es va analitzar la informació financera. Amb aquesta font d'informació, es va poder arribar a la conclusió que tots aquells aspectes relacionats amb el personal i reflectits a través de ràtios, eren els més significatius estadísticament per a poder explicar la rendibilitat en les empreses. També es va enviar un qüestionari a la mostra esmentada i es va preguntar el punt de vista del gestor o empresari. Només 50 empreses van contestar, i una vegada més, el factor humà es va revelar com el més important. S'ha d'assenyalar que altres elements tals com la inversió en tecnologia, que s'esperava fossin significatius, no van donar els resultats esperats en el sentit que cap altre fos considerat tan rellevant com els recursos humans.

An agency-oriented model to explain vine-growing specialization in the province of Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain) in the mid-nineteenth century

[cat] En aquest treball presentem un model per explicar el procés d’especialització vitícola assolit als municipis de la província de Barcelona, a mitjans del s. XIX,que cerca entendre com va sorgir històricament un avantatge comparatiu fruit d’un procés que esdevindria un dels punts de partida del procés d’industrialització a Catalunya. Els resultats confirmen els papers jugats pel impuls “Boserupià” de la població en un context d’intensificació de l’ús de la terra, i d’un impuls del mercat “Smithià” en un context d’expansió de la demanda per part de les economies atlàntiques. També es posa de manifest la importància de les dotacions agro-ecològiques i les condicions socioinstitucionals relacionades amb la desigualtat d’ingrés. La difusió de la vinya donà com a resultat unes comunitats rurals menys desiguals fins al 1820, tot i que aquesta desigualtat augmentà de nou a partir d'aleshores.

Características sedimentológicas de la terminación del ciclo marino del Eoceno superior en el sector oriental de la Depresión del Ebro (Catalunya, N.E. de Espaiia)

Durante el 'Biarritziense' superior y el Priaboniense, la sedimentación en el Eoceno autóctono de Catalunya, adquiere caracteres deltaicos acumulándose los sedimentos en forma de lóbulos deltaicos que translapan sucesivamente y progradan hacia el interior de la cuenca. Cuando los canales distributarios que originan a estos lóbulos son abandonados, se produce un retrabajamiento de sus materiales por la acción marina (oleaje y posiblemente mareas). Es en este episodio cuando, sobre la morfologia dcltaica heredada, se desarrollaron con mucha frecuencia arrecifes de corales y algas rojas que murieron al depositarse sobre ellos los materiales silicoclasticos procedentes de la progradación de un nuevo lóbulo deltacio. Una excepción la constituye el arrecife de Sant Bartomeu del Grau, resultante de la superposición de dos periodos de crecimiento arrecifal, cuya muerte guarda relación, en cada caso, con las primeras etapas de sedimentación evaporitica de la Cuenca evaporitica central catalana. El mecanismo de cierre para este extremo de la cuenca evaporitica se interpreta originado por el estrangulamiento de la misma por la acción de los lóbulos deltaicos procedentes de los bordes Sur y Norte de la cuenca. El estudio cronoestratigráfico efectuado corrobora al modelo paleogeográfico que se expone, el cual, presupone una conexión «mediterránea» por el Emporda durante el Priaboniense.

Boring activity of Epibionts in an Early Holocene molluscan fauna of Spanish Catalunya

Using X-Ray techniques, the boring activities of various Invertebrates on Bivalvia of wmian age were studied. Emphasis is placed on the boring activity of Porifera and their apparent preselection of the species bored, based on: a) the mineralogical composition, and/or b) the microstucture, andlor c) some special environmental conditions, or d) combinations of these three posibilities.
