In order to receive payment from SCCID an investigator must be on the list of approved investigators maintained by SCCID and adhere to certain policies and regulations.

Juvenile delinquency proceedings in the South Carolina Family Court are fundamentally different than adult criminal cases. Judges are charged by the South Carolina Code of Laws with acting in the “best interests of the child,” this emphasis on the rehabilitation of the child contrasts with the more punitive model used by the adult criminal justice system. The standards listed in the document aim to provide guidance to appointed counsel in juvenile matters with particular emphasis on the distinctive requirements of the South Carolina juvenile justice system.

This document describes by category the plight or well-being of the State's minority population. It is intended to enlighten the members of minority communities, other citizens of South Carolina, public and private agencies, and policy makers regarding the socioeconomic conditions of minorities in the State and factors that contribute to those conditions. The abstract includes a historical perspective of the minority population, beginning with the State's colonial period. Additionally, it includes a section that discusses current and projected changes in the State's minority population and the implications of those changes for minority persons and the State of South Carolina.

Currently, at the SC Commission for the Blind, there is no opportunity for computer training for adults in the Older Blind Program. The Older Blind Program has to look for outside partners to make this service viable again. This project proposes that the OB Program partner with regional senior and recreation centers to establish a community-based training program that is both effective and is of minimal cost to the agency and to the partnering centers.

The purpose of the Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual is to furnish guidance to all departments, divisions, sections, and offices of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission in administering policies of the Commission and of the State of South Carolina. These policies and procedures are offered to provide a method of understanding administrative guidelines of the Commission and a structure for consistent application of rules and regulations to all employees. In addition, the contents of this manual are designed to serve as general guidelines for the proper and efficient conduct of administrative procedures.
