Necessidades atuais para a educação ambiental: serão possibilidades?

This study had two objectives: to build theoretically the hypothetical landmarks of the environmental crisis and to conjecture new horizons or utopias which can fulfill themselves in the future in search of another being of the man in the world. Therefore, a bibliographic research has been done and, as methodology of analysis, a dialectic critical method has been used to understand the reality in its contradictions and in the totality of the history, through some suggestions, going toward the domain of the state of things which we can verify in the world nowadays. It has been observed that the hypothetical landmarks of the environmental crisis had and have its origins in the Jewish-Christian monotheism, in the exacerbation of the reason as the only way of knowledge and in the process of capitalist accumulation. Therefore, these landmarks, in almost their totality, have historically been built even before the advent of the capitalism. From this point, three suggestions were launched as questions, or so, possibilities, to open a discussion about the construction of another paradigm: Is it necessary another sense of religion? Is it necessary another sense of reason? Is it necessary another sense of sustainable development? Thus, these questions which have been launched, were thought as the current necessities for the environmental education and they implicate in another historical condition to the mankind.

O projeto experimental Passé: balé bauruense em um ato e nove cenas é um livro-reportagem de perfis de pessoas que moram em Bauru e são ligadas ao balé clássico. Os entrevistados escolhidos pertencem a três gerações: são três idosas, três adultas e três jovens. Entre os nove perfilados, estão bailarinos e professores de balé clássico. O objetivo do projeto é resgatar, através da história oral de vida, e registrar, através do Jornalismo Literário, fragmentos da história da dança bauruense, pouco documentada, e retratar a paixão que as pessoas ligadas ao balé clássico sentem pela dança

Primary cutaneous histoplasmosis developed in the penis of an immunocompetent patient

A 70-year-old male presenting a 3-month history of genital painless erythematous nodules in the balanopreputial sulcus was referred to our service. Histopathological exam presented a chronic dermatitis with epithelioid granulomas and Grocott staining revealed numerous fungal structures with a suggestive morphology of Histoplasma sp. Cultures evidenced Histoplasma capsulatum var. capsulatum. Treatment with oral itraconazole led to complete remission of lesions.

This article introduces the concepts of self-organization and autonomy as presented by the thought of Michel Debrun and Edgar Morin and their relationship to the development of a bioethical conscience by means of the school educational process. The proposal aims to contribute to the development of autonomy of students and thus be conducive to their self-organization as “responsible ethical subjects”.

Excalibur: uma perspectiva pagã sobre a lenda de Excalibur

This work tries to show to the reader a more mystical side of Excalibur and its importance to the Arthurian myth. As its origin is pagan indigenous to the legends of the Celtic people, they will be briefly introduced to the reader so that they can realize the time in which the Celts lived, who they were and a little about how they acted in accordance with their culture . It will also be exposed a brief overview about the character of King Arthur and all the changes that it has passed through according to what suited to the culture of each time. Two legends about Excalibur will be analyzed, so that both points of view Pagan and Christian can be disclosed according to the myths and theoretical texts used as a basis for this work. Finally, several analyzis about the sword will be brought to the reader so they can understand the complexity of myths and symbols that the Celts have left as a legacy

Solidification thermal parameters and dendritic growth during the horizontal directional solidification of Al-7wt.%Si alloy

O principal objetivo desse trabalho é investigar a influência dos parâmetros térmicos velocidade de solidificação (V_L) e taxa de resfriamento (T_R), nos espaçamentos dendríticos primários (λ₁) da liga hipoeutética Al-7%Si, durante a solidificação direcional horizontal, em regime transiente. Os valores de λ₁ foram medidos ao longo do comprimento do lingote e correlacionados com esses parâmetros. A variação dos espaçamentos dendríticos estudados é expressa por meio de funções na forma de potência de V_Le T_Rdadas, respectivamente, por λ₁= 55(V_L)^-1.1e λ₁= 212 (T_R)^-0.55. Um estudo comparativo é realizado entre os resultados encontrados nesse trabalho e aqueles obtidos para a mesma liga quando solidificada direcionalmente nos sistemas verticais ascendente e descendente, sob as mesmas condições assumidas. Finalmente, os resultados experimentais obtidos são comparados com valores fornecidos por alguns modelos teóricos propostos na literatura para analisar espaçamentos dendríticos primários.
