Empacotamento de experimentos controlados com abordagem evolutiva baseada em ontologia

Um corpo de conhecimento em Engenharia de Software requer a replicação de experimentos controlados. O conhecimento gerado por um experimento é registrado no chamado pacote de laboratório, o qual deve ser revisado por um eventual grupo de pesquisa com a intenção de replicá-lo. Entretanto, pesquisadores enfrentam dificuldades ao revisar pacotes de laboratório, o que leva a problemas de compartilhamento de conhecimento entre grupos de pesquisa. Além disso, a falta de padronização é um obstáculo à integração de um estudo isolado em um corpo de conhecimento comum. Nesse contexto, é proposto um workflow para gerar pacotes de laboratório baseados na ExperOntology, uma ontologia do domínio de experimentos controlados, visando a contribuir na revisão e no entendimento de pacotes de laboratório.

Calibração e validação de um método de medida da radiação solar global por meio de actinógrafos baseada em técnicas de processamento de imagens digitais

O objetivo do trabalho é desenvolver um sistema informático de digitalização e processamento de actinogramas baseado em técnicas de Processamento de Imagens Digitais e comparar com o sistema tradicional de medidas. Os actinogramas foram fornecidos pela Estação Meteorológica de Botucatu (FCA/UNESP). As análises preliminares indicam um desempenho satisfatório do software proposto, gerando medidas na mesma ordem de grandeza do método de referência para partição diária. O software proposto pertence a um projeto que se encontra ainda em andamento, onde rotinas de técnicas diversas continuam sendo implementadas no reconhecimento da curva de interesse para melhorar a qualidade do processamento das informações gráficas dos actinogramas. Os actinogramas estão em fase de digitalização para que o software possa ser testado com uma base de dados mais consistente, onde poderão ser identificados tendências temporais dos dados resultantes da aplicação das técnicas de Processamento de Imagens Digitais no monitoramento da radiação solar por actinógrafos.

Concordância espaço-temporal e intensidade de competição em grupos de baleia jubarte: evidências de uma série temporal de 10 anos

The theory of sexual selection states that individuals more capable of attracting, selecting and competing for partners are more successful on reproduction than the less fit individuals. Competition for sexual partners can be observed in different populations of humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae). These large cetaceans migrate seasonally from feeding areas, in high latitudes, to breeding areas, in low latitudes, where they spend the winter. During the breeding season females with and without calves are escorted by transient competitive groups of males. Seeking reproductive success in the same group, various males exhibit aggressive behaviors searching for proximity to the disputed female. Breeding areas are usually located in warm and shallow waters that provide greater security to newborn calves. The Abrolhos Bank, in the Bahia State, is the main breeding area of the species in Brazil. In this study, we used data collected in this region between 2003 and 2012. We tested the hypothesis that there is temporal fluctuation in the abundance of competitive groups and, thus, there is variation in the levels of competition among males during the breeding season. We expected to find higher competition at the beginning of the season since there are a large number of males competing for a small number of females available for mating, because some of them would still be pregnant with calves conceived on the previous year. As the pregnant females give birth to their calves and can again get into heat, the competition among males would be softened, represented by a smaller number of individuals in competitive groups and a larger number of groups sighted. The main objective of this study focuses on investigate how the style of the Conhecimento Prático Língua Portuguesa magazine, from Escala publisher, reveals a materialization, in its wordings, of social values that surround our society regarding the teaching class. Besides, we thought about the construction of an other - teacher - by means of the I speech (the enunciator). Furthermore, we reflected on how happens the genre opinion article handling and whether there is, when aimed to the teaching class. All these questions were discussed under the perspective of Bakhtin's theory, focusing our analysis in the wording notions, dialogism, style and speech genres. Our analysis indicates a materialization of social values in syntactic issues and a hybridization of genres when the addressee is a teacher

A reumatologia em um curso de medicina com aprendizagem baseada em problemas

OBJETIVO: Apresentar a experiência de uma instituição brasileira no ensino da Reumatologia na graduação médica, cujo projeto pedagógico é estruturado em metodologias ativas de aprendizado. MÉTODOS: Realizou-se um estudo descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa dos conteúdos referentes à Reumatologia no curso de Medicina do Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará (Cesupa). RESULTADOS: O sistema musculoesquelético é abordado no segundo e sétimo semestres, nos módulos referentes ao sistema locomotor e Clínica Médica II, respectivamente, sendo que cada etapa e cada atividade apresentam objetivos específicos mínimos. Além do conteúdo teórico, no sétimo semestre, os alunos realizam atendimentos no ambulatório de Reumatologia, quando existe maior ênfase na elaboração correta de anamnese e exame físico. No internato, os alunos retornam ao ambulatório de Reumatologia e, neste momento, as habilidades de diagnóstico, de investigação e de terapêutica são as mais exigidas. CONCLUSÃO: Ainda há muito para evoluir em busca de um modelo ideal para o ensino da Reumatologia, porém, cumprindo as principais recomendações disponíveis para a boa prática do ensino na graduação, podemos proporcionar ao futuro médico conhecimento, habilidade e experiências capazes de ajudá-lo na condução desses pacientes.
