Resting metabolism in Indian major carp, Catla catla Ham. fingerlings were investigated. For this purpose a water recirculatory system in the laboratory was used. The metabolic energy losses were determined by the indirect method of oxygen consumption by the fish and were then multiplied by an oxycalorific coefficient (Q-ox). Five metabolism chambers in the experimental system were used where there were two same treatment runs in quadruplicate of mean total weight of fish fingerlings of 109.5, 110.4, 112.8 and 111.6g/chamber. The water temperature in the system was 28±0.5°C. The mean metabolic rate in the replicates showed no significant variation (p>0.05) and was found to be 151.66, 153.91, 150.25, 152.74 mgO-2/kg/h respectively. This showed an equivalent energy loss 5.40, 5.52, 5.51 and 5.56 KJ/chamber/day (35.60, 35.92, 36.67 and 36.40 KJ/kg/day) respectively. 光合放氧研究近十年来已有重要进展,但在该领域仍有很多重要问题待研究。本论文工作主要是对光系统氧化侧与光合放氧密切相关的组分的结构和性能进行理论和模拟研究,工作可概括如下: (一)、放氧中心结构和性能的探索。 1、对放氧中心Mn202单元与配体组氨酸、H2O和Cl等结合方式的理论研究显示:(a)、组氨酸和H20分子均可能与Mn202平面垂直,彼此保持较大的距离,且结合在不同的Mn离子上;(b)、2个H2O分子可能结合在不同Mn202单元上。 2、对Mn簇核心骨架的理论研究显示有必要引入新的Ca、Cl结合方式,以防止因两个Mn202单元线性化而导致2个H2O分子结合位点远离。 (二)、次级电子给体Tyr_z和Tyr_D的结构与功能。 对次级电子给体Tyr_z和Tyr_D进行精确量子化学研究显示:(a)、在中性条件下,Tyr_D和Tyr_z均只与组氨酸通过氢键作用;(b)、当失去电子后,结构发生明显变化,导致正电荷主要集中在组氨酸上,自由基主要集中在Tyr上;(c)、第三组分(H_20分子或羧基等)的引入使中性体系不容易给出电子;(d)、结合最新文献报导,推测Tyr_D~+和Tyr_z~+除与组氨酸作用外还可能分别与水和羧基作用。 (三)、原初电子给体的理论和模拟研究。 1、对紫细菌原初电子给体P_(870)的理论研究显示:(a)、双分子结构比单分子结构稳定;(b)、电荷分离之后,原初电子给体原有的空间结构不再是稳定的构型,它会向能量和化学活性均更低的构型转变。在光合细菌的原初电子给体P870中,这种转变可通过C3位的乙酰基旋转使其氧原子与另一个细菌叶绿素分子的镁原子相互作用使P870+•的总能量和化学活性明显降低。推测这种构型转变对于防止原初反应过程中的电荷重组、维持光能的高效转化有重要意义。提出了原初反应过程中结构动态变化的新观点,利用这一观点可对光合细菌原初反应动力学研究所观测到的慢过程及蛋白质微环境对原初电子给体和原初反应都有重要影响等实验现象给予较好的解释。 2、对光系统II原初电子给体P680的结构进行理论探讨,提出了两个叶绿素a分子平面间夹角为50.0±2.5°时能量最低的夹角模型。 3、采用N-甲基咪唑(C4H6N2)模拟生物体内的组氨酸,通过观测CCL4中的Chla与C4H6N2反应的吸收、CD和MCD光谱得到以下结论:(a)、在纯CCL4中,每个Chla处于5配位状态,Chla形成不对称的双聚体,彼此之间存在较强的偶合作用。提出两个Chla通过不等价的2个Mg-O配位键(O分别来自于C131位的酮基和C17位酯基的C=O)连接为紧密双体结构;(b)、当C4H6N2/Chla = 0.5和1时,其吸收、CD和MCD光谱均发生明显变化,两个Chla之间的偶合作用明显减弱,但此时仍为双聚体。推测C4H6N2首先取代原紧密双体结构中Mg-O酯键,进而取代Mg-O酮键,最后两个Chla分子通过两个Mg…O弱相互作用连接为松弛的双体结构,该模型与理论获得的P_(680)的结构相似。 在上述研究的基础上,提出了包括放氧中心外围配体和TyrZ在内的放氧中心结构新模型。在新结构模型中,2个H2O分子不对称地结合于“C”形结构开口端两个低价的Mn1II和Mn4III上,并保持较大距离;两个组氨酸的咪唑环通过N原子与两个高价的Mn2IV、Mn3IV结合;Cl结合于MB4TM,并与Ca相连;Ca通过O桥和COO-相连使两个Mn202单元保持特定空间构型。TyrZ通过组氨酸(D1-His190)与Mn簇作用。此外,新模型尝试着在O桥上引入质子。放氧中心结构及其邻近环境(包括TyrZ和TyrD)整体处于中性状态。 同时还提出了新的放氧机理,认为电子和质子的释放非同步进行,并首次明确提出两个水分子的不对称氧化和结构动态变化等观点。认为Ca在维持放氧中心的结构方面担负重要作用,C1与Mn离子之间的亲核作用变化是放氧中心结构变化的关键。

This paper describes how the A -if) formulation may be applied to determine the losses in the stator duct spacers of large a.c. motors. The model is described in terms of its geometry and boundary conditions. The novel aspects of the application of the formulation to this problem are explained. These include the modelling of fixed currents sources (the stator windings), the location of the necessary cut surfaces and the determination of their magnetic scalar potential differences, and the implementation of periodic boundary conditions for vector variables. Results are presented showing how the duct spacer losses vary with load, and with the relative permeability of the spacer material. The effects of modelling iron nonlinearity, of both the spacer and the steel laminations, are also illustrated. © 1996 IEEE.

A systematic study has been made of the growth of both hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) and silicon nitride (a-SiN) by electron cyclotron resonance plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition (ECR-PECVD). In the case of a-SiN, helium and nitrogen gas is injected into the system such that it passes through the resonance zone. These highly ionised gases provide sufficient energy to ionise the silane gas, which is injected further downstream. It is demonstrated that a gas phase reaction occurs between the silane and nitrogen species. It is control of the ratio of silane to nitrogen in the plasma which is critical for the production of stoichiometric a-SiN. Material has been produced at 80°C with a Si:N ratio of 1:1.3 a breakdown strength of ∼6 MV cm-1 and resistivity of > 1014 Ω cm. In the case of a-Si:H, helium and hydrogen gas is injected into the ECR zone and silane is injected downstream. It is shown that control of the gas phase reactions is critical in this process also. a-Si:H has been deposited at 80 °C with a dark conductivity of 10-11 Ω-1 cm-1 and a photosensitivity of justbelowl 4×104. Such materials are suitable for use in thin film transistors on plastic substrates.

In the field of flat panel displays, the current leading technology is the Active Matrix liquid Crystal Display; this uses a-Si:H based thin film transistors (TFTs) as the switching element in each pixel. However, under gate bias a-Si:H TFTs suffer from instability, as is evidenced by a shift in the gate threshold voltage. The shift in the gate threshold voltage is generally measured from the gate transfer characteristics, after subjecting the TFT to prolonged gate bias. However, a major drawback of this measurement method is that it cannot distinguish whether the shift is caused by the change in the midgap states in the a-Si:H channel or by charge trapping in the gate insulator. In view of this, we have developed a capacitance-voltage (C-V) method to measure the shift in threshold voltage. We employ Metal-Insulator-Semiconductor (MIS) structures to investigate the threshold voltage shift as they are simpler to fabricate than TFTs. We have investigated a large of number Metal/a-Si:H/Si3N4/Si+n structures using our C-V technique. From, the C-V data for the MIS structures, we have found that the relationship between the thermal energy and threshold voltage shift is similar to that reported by Wehrspohn et. al in a-Si:H TFTs (J Appl. Phys, 144, 87, 2000). The a-Si:H and Si3N4 layers were grown using the radio-frequency plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition technique.

Large, single grain Nd-Ba-Cu-O (NdBCO) composite samples of NdBa2Cu3O7-δ (Nd-123) containing 15 and 20 mol. % non-superconducting Nd4Ba2Cu2O10 (Nd-422) phase inclusions have been fabricated successfully by a variety of techniques based on top-seeded melt growth under reduced oxygen partial pressure. Specifically, individual grains up to 2cm in diameter have been grown using (100) oriented MgO seeding, self (NdBCO) seeding at elevated temperature and self-seeding of Ag and Au doped precursor pellets. The latter exhibit a reduced peritectic decomposition temperature compared with the undoped compound. These techniques, which vary in degree of difficulty and hence reliability, yield grains with a range of microstructural homogeneity. This paper describes the general aspects of large NdBCO grain fabrication and presents the results of the different fabrication techniques.

首次报道了中国4种蝙蝠的G-带和C-带核型。大长舌果蝠(Eonycteris spelaea)二倍染色体数目(2n)为36,常染色体臂数(FN)为56;马来假吸血蝠(Megaderma spasma)2n=38,FN=70;黑髯墓蝠(Taphozous melanopogon)2n=42,FN=64;皱唇蝠(Chaerephon plicata)2n=48,FN=54。通过C-带显示,除着丝粒异染色质外,在皱唇蝠的许多染色体臂内和马来假吸血蝠染色体的端粒处也有较多的插入异染色质,大长舌果蝠的基因组中既有臂内异染色质也有端粒异染色质。

The regional distribution of an ancient Y-chromosome haplogroup C-M130 (Hg C) in Asia provides an ideal tool of dissecting prehistoric migration events. We identified 465 Hg C individuals out of 4284 males from 140 East and Southeast Asian populations. We genotyped these Hg C individuals using 12 Y-chromosome biallelic markers and 8 commonly used Y-short tandem repeats (Y-STRs), and performed phylogeographic analysis in combination with the published data. The results show that most of the Hg C subhaplogroups have distinct geographical distribution and have undergone long-time isolation, although Hg C individuals are distributed widely across Eurasia. Furthermore, a general south-to-north and east-to-west cline of Y-STR diversity is observed with the highest diversity in Southeast Asia. The phylogeographic distribution pattern of Hg C supports a single coastal 'Out-of-Africa' route by way of the Indian subcontinent, which eventually led to the early settlement of modern humans in mainland Southeast Asia. The northward expansion of Hg C in East Asia started similar to 40 thousand of years ago (KYA) along the coastline of mainland China and reached Siberia similar to 15 KYA and finally made its way to the Americas. 蛇毒中含有丰富的非酶活性C-型凝集素蛋白, 根据其结构及功能的差异, 该类蛋白可分为Ca~(2+) 依赖的有糖基识别活性的C-型真凝集素及无糖基识别活性的C-型凝集素样蛋白. C-型真凝集素的结构相似度高, 而功能却较为单一, 具有特异性糖结合活性; C-型凝集素样蛋白的结构变异度大, 活性亦具有多样性. 后者能通过特异性的蛋白质-蛋白质相互作用而作用于血液凝固系统及血小板, 从而发挥抗凝或促凝的生理功能。
