The present work has as object of study the writing practices of emergent writers on the internet, more precisely their blogs and websites. Literary blogs came up as an option so that emergent writers could make public their works more easily, since the process of publishing books through publishing houses is lengthy e more limited. Through readings of Bakhtin and The Circle texts, we used some concepts, such as discourse genres and dialog, to make a dialogical analysis of the corpus. The main focus of this work are the dialog relations found in blogs and the different ways they appear, for instance the dialog established between writer and reader and the dialog between the discourse genres found in the blogs and other genres. The study of the relation writer/reader is very important, because there is a change in the way the reader receives the text depending on the support through which it is diffused, just like there is a change in the relation between reader and writer, who become closer

This article aims to analyze the significant social and political aspects of the transition from the Parliamentary Constitutional Monarchy to Federal and Presidential Republic, according to the literary work of the writer from Rio de Janeiro Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis (1839-1908). Some of these aspects appeared in Machadian chronicles entitled Balas de Estalo, published in the daily newspaper Gazeta News between 1883 and 1887. These chronicles were signed by Lelio, one of the nicknames of Machado de Assis.

Joaquim Manuel de Macedo was a highly acclaimed writer among nineteenth - century readers, although posterity treated his work with many reservations. Despite the severity of his critics, Macedo’s contribution undeniably cannot be limited to his books, but extends to the very concept of the novel as a genre during Brazilian Romanticism. This novelistic concept is fueled by the observation of everyday life as well as by aesthetic ideas brought to light by European Romanticism. Differently, however, in A luneta mágica [The Magic Looking Glass] Macedo employed aspects of the fantastic to produce a daringly critical and creative novel that contrasts vividly with other Romantic works in Brazil

The quality and the diversity of the material – questionnaires, glossaries, notes, drawings, comments on his work, reflections on language and literature, indications and references – which we find when we read the correspondence of João Guimarães Rosa with the translators of his texts to other languages certify the importance to the study of his work. In this research, we intend to comment on some excerpts of this correspondence, mainly on the unpublished ones, which belong to the Guimarães Rosa Fund (IEB/USP), that we consider relevant to elucidate the process of the origin of this work and to shape Rosa’s poetry or as the author used to call his “platform” of writer.

This article investigates the universe of women seasonal farm workers, more precisely those women laborers who take the so-called truck, in the newspaper chronicle “Th e Seasonal Farm Workers’ Express” (1976) and the short story “Th e funny face of fear”(1978), both by the journalist and creative writer Murilo Carvalho. Th e hypothesis is that these two narratives, in which the theme is the truck accident, can be classifi ed as testimonial literature.
