This research has as main objective the analysis of the auto industry has done to reduce disposal of solid waste in its production process as much as to facilitate the recycling of cars after they complete their life cycle. Despite the auto industry is not one of the most polluting in terms of its production process, it produces a good that is causing major pollution. In despite of the great current concern in seeking to reduce the emissions of pollutants by vehicles, as important as the quest for cleaner fuels is the study of how to dispose of old cars. Even if the car production does not increase significantly each year in relative terms, we must consider the fleet of used cars that still circulates in the world. Ending the mammoth “cemeteries” of automobiles, however, it is not so easy, even because the car is composed of various materials, which in many cases are not easily separable. In addition to an overview, the research seeks to examine the possible advances in Brazil related to the process of auto recycling

The work consists of analyzing the risk management of investments by applying statistical concepts, economic and mathematical models considering the assets on the market on renowned financial institution. The assessment of these risks becomes increasingly interesting in view of minimizing your losses thus maximizing your chances of gains in both markets boom as extreme uncertainty, even with the sudden changes of scenery. Introducing concepts of investment funds, as well as the classification of the types of funds as funds management and equity, its guidelines, the concept of market investment funds. The types of assets comprising the investment funds, their taxation rules beyond the incidents that market widely used by investors and skilled people, both physical and legal, who keep their resources in this modality. With the historical data collected yields of investment funds of the Bank of Brazil, is an accomplished inflation adjustment and calculated the mean and variance for the verification of the model of Markowitz efficient frontier, a method used as investment analysis. Análise de 15 STRS autossômicos na população de Araraquara (São Paulo, Brasil)

Os marcadores genéticos mais utilizados para fins de identificação humana são regiões autossômicas de repetições consecutivas curtas (Short Tandem Repeats - STRs) e para interpretar a análise de DNA, os resultados de um caso necessitam ser comparados com os dados de uma pertinente população. O objetivo do trabalho, portanto, foi caracterizar o perfil genético da população de Araraquara, (São Paulo, Brasil) pela análise de 15 STRs autossômicos (D3S1358, TH01, D21S11, D18S51, Penta E, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820, D16S539, CSF1PO, Penta D, VWA, D8S1179, TPOX and FGA) inclusos no kit PowerPlex 16 (Promega) e correlacionar esses dados com a história de formação da população. Não foram observados desvio do equilíbrio de Hardy - Weinberg após correção de Bonferroni. Parâmetros forenses apresentaram valores elevados, sendo os marcadores mais polimórficos o Penta E, D18S51 e FGA. A árvore UPGMA (Unweighted Pair- Group Method with Arithmetic Mean) baseada na medida de distância genética mostrou a população de Araraquara agrupada com as populações da região sudeste do Brasil, próxima do grupo europeu e distante das populações Africana e Ameríndia. Estimativas de mistura revelaram que a contribuição parental para a população de Araraquara foi 76% européia, 18% africana e 6% ameríndia

Eficiência das companhias aéreas brasileiras: uma análise envoltória de dados

Studies about efficiency have gained dimension, in Brazil, since the early 90’s. Same decade that the Civil Aviation System suffers important changes in terms of regulations. Such transformations have echoed effects currently, with some significant trend for international standards. This paper focuses on one of the agents from the Brazilian Civil Aviation System, the airlines companies, which aimed on analyze and evaluate both passengers and cargo air transport, by using data envelopment analysis (DEA), during the period of 2005 to 2010. The yearbooks of ANAC, corresponding at the period from 2005 to 2010, were used as data base in this present study. The technique was applied to 14 companies, which through Stepwise process of variables validation was possible to compose a compact, but complete model, that could translate the reality of companies. This model was composed by one output, Total Income, and by four inputs, Total Costs, Total Domestic Passenger, Total Cargo and Total International Passengers. However, this approach has some flaws. Therefore in order to remedy it, it was required to apply the method Frontier Inverted, one of the alternatives proposed in the literature, which ensured an improvement in the context of efficiencies due to biggest discrimination of airlines. As a result of the DEA-BCC process, oriented by output, TAM 2005 was considered the most efficient company, however GOL and Webjet companies concentrated in 2007 their worst levels
