Máximos e mínimos na geometria euclidiana: uma abordagem histórica

The goal of this work is to perform a historical approach of important results about maxima and minima, on Euclidean geometry, involving perimeters, areas and volumes. As a highlight, we can mention the Dido’s isoperimetric problem and the Papus’s problem about the wit of the bees. In this context, with a concern didactic, we tried to use, whenever possible, the geometry classical formulas to the calculus of areas. On the other hand, in the case of isoperimetric inequality the techniques of differential and integral calculus became more suitable for our purposes.

According to data published on the World Drug Report 2012 by Unodc - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime -, the world consumes nowadays the same amount of illicit drugs that it has always consumed. Contrary to this stable consumption, discussions surrounding the issue of drugs have intensified. The greatest controversies and the largest repercussion in the Brazilian media relate to marijuana use. This paper was developed in the context of polemic issues and its general goal is to analyze the conflict of ideologies present in the discourses about drugs on printed articles released by the Brazilian media, represented here by the magazines Veja, Carta Capital and Galileu. The proposal of this work is based on the elaboration of didactic sequences from fairy tales, for students of Elementary School, during reinforcement classes of Portuguese language. It is deemed appropriate to use this genre, because it gives to the child and to the adolescents a pleasurable reading, approaching them of playful situations. As a main goal of this work, this research aimed the preparation of didactic sequences using fairy tales in the classroom, as well as encouraging the reading for these students. The intention was also the internalization of the narratives and the messages conveyed by them, associating them to everyday situations. Estabilização de enzimas: uma abordagem

Enzyme stabilization is one critic point in basic and applied enzymology. The increasing interest in applying enzymes in industrial processes has fostered the search for biocatalysts with new properties or extreme stability. Enzyme stabilization can be achieved by different methods: isolating enzyme variants from organisms living in appropriate extreme environments (extremozymes), by protein engineering, chemical modification, use of additives, immobilization. This brief review aims to give a better understanding of those methods employed for enzyme stabilization.

Estudos de comunicação e identidades midiático-culturais na América Latina: condicionantes e perspectivas. Uma abordagem exploratória

Apontar tendências - a médio e/ou longo prazos - para uma área do conhecimento, desafio o pesquisador para o exercício da priorização e da sistematização, mas também evidencia que escolhas foram feitas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi o de reunir informações capazes de demonstrar o cenário comunicacional em duas grandes frentes: ensino e pesquisa. Sistematizar trajetórias institucionais produtivas, criar e expandir políticas públicas que articulem os múltiplos atores sociais em torno de um desenvolvimento sustentável e possibilitar a reflexão sobre os arranjos institucionais mais adequados para permitir a inclusão social etc, são alguns resultados frente ao mapeamento proposto nesse material. Reconhecer e relacionar temas, incluídas as estruturas produtivas e as políticas de CT&I, P&D, as interconexões entre as múltiplas dimensões da infraestrutura, especificamente das comunicações, possibilitaram o conhecimento sobre o amadurecimento das instituições públicas e privadas e de seus acervos informacionais. Dividido em duas partes, a primeira focalizou o Brasil e suas instituições científicas e a segunda que traçou o panorama da educação do Cone Sul. O resultado apontou tendências brasileiras da Comunicação na primeira década do novo século, além de traçar o cenário da Educação no Cone Sul, a partir da segunda década, fazendo um inventário do estado atual do conhecimento

Análise comparativa de tensões e deformações específicas em uma estrutura treliçada, utilizando abordagem experimental e pelo método de elementos finitos

The process of knowledge construction is associated with physical or mechanical view of the phenomenon. In mechanical engineering courses should supplement their courses with physical or virtual learning devices to aid visualization of these phenomena. For the purpose of improving the mechanical engineering department laboratory practice was developed, through a project, a didactic device a trellis. The purpose of this work is the detailed study by comparing the theoretical results with the experimental results collected through the specific strains collected in the Catman. The study was iniatially done with nodes made of aluminum, giving results with high errors not allowing a good conclusion of results. For best results were achieved an improvement of the structure with strict we support the lattice and, thus, further study and greater quality of lattice structure

Abordagem Leader: uma aproximação com o programa territórios da cidadania

Analyzing evidences of the LEADER approach in the Territories of Citizenship Program consists in the immediate objective of this paper. Considering the current context in which the territorial approach takes on the challenge of promoting a less excluding development, the deepening of discussions and experiences highlighted in national and international scope can add elements for analysis and creation of proposals for a more efficient development. Methodologically, a qualitative analysis of bibliographic data and interviews involving focal subject types was performed. In the analysis performed it was possible to understand that the policy of territorial approach is necessary, but it has structural implications that hinder the work of those who should mediate and sensitize the most excluded social groups. Therefore, so that there is an effective policy it would be necessary to create participatory and emancipatory models able to produce structural changes.
