O uso do material manipulativo Tangram e de jogos como estratégias de motivação para a aprendizagem de frações

In this research, we analyzed the use of manipulative materials and games as motivators tools that facilitate the comprehension of fractions content when presented to a class of students from the 9th grade from a public school in Guaratinguetá-SP city. The students are 14 and 17 years old. Initially we presented the benefits that could bring manipulative materials for teaching and learning with understanding, followed by historical accounts of the Tangram material. We show the advantages of the games, when properly used in activities classroom. The game titled Dominoes fractions using the Tangram was applied in order to check if students retook properly the fractions contents. This research was motivated students to participate in math classes and this motivation may have promoted the understanding of the contents worked

Estratégias municipais para oferta da educação básica: análise de parcerias público-privado no município de Itirapina

Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso refere-se ao estudo de um caso e está inserido ao âmbito do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Política Educacional (Greppe) que, realiza estudos e pesquisas referentes ao projeto “Estratégias Municipais para a Oferta da Educação Básica: análise de parcerias público-privado no Estado de São Paulo”. O período da pesquisa é de 1997-2006, período de vigência do Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento do Ensino Fundamental e de Valorização do Magistério (Fundef). O objetivo é estudar e analisar as estratégias utilizadas pelo município de Itirapina para a oferta da Educação Básica, especificamente na etapa da Educação Infantil, ou seja, estudar e analisar as parcerias (acordos) lá existentes, sua natureza e modalidade. Quais os fatores que levaram a Prefeitura de Itirapina a firmar convênio para oferta de vagas em instituições privadas filantrópicas (creches) e qual a normalização para estes convênios. Sabe-se que estas instituições já atendem as matrículas das creches e pré-escolas há muitos anos, antes mesmo do convênio formal que se iniciou em 2000. Estudar as implicações que as políticas públicas educacionais trouxeram para a oferta da primeira etapa da Educação Básica no período analisado, como a vinculação de recursos financeiros destinados a Educação e sua distribuição pelo Fundef é imprescindível na compreensão do quadro em que se encontra a Educação Infantil no município, principalmente a primeira etapa que atende às crianças na faixa etária de 0 a 3 anos em creches (conveniadas). A perspectiva de melhorias apontada pelo Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica e Valorização dos Profissionais da Educação (Fundeb), que, distribuirá recursos financeiros para esta etapa da educação, já tão penalizada ao longo da história, traz a certeza de mudanças, porém, ainda... This paper proposes a comparative analysis of cultural critical, articles and reports related to the 28th International Biennial of Art of São Paulo published in the newspapers O Estado de S. Paulo and Jornal Semanal da 28ª Bienal de São Paulo, from October to December 2008. Specific aims of analysis are how an institution devoted, like Biennial, creates mechanisms to defend their choices and hegemonic position within the arts field and also to examine how this dedication can be demystified by critics from diffusion field not linked to the institution. For the study will be used the concepts of field, hierarchy of legitimacy and position of an agent developed by Pierre Bourdieu, as well as historical notions of Cultural Journalism and journalistic criticism

This paper aims at examining the hypothesis that the choice among the different strategies of relativization available in the Portuguese grammar is motivated by a lesser or greater degree of transparency between form and meaning, which implies, correlatively, lesser or greater degree of ease in cognitive processing. In addition, the lesser or greater degree of transparency allows to postulate a hierarchical ordering for the strategies in correspondence to a greater or a lesser degree of ease in cognitive processing.

O texto adaptado à máquina: estratégias de controle autoral para implementação da tradução automática

Machine translation systems have been increasingly used for translation of large volumes of specialized texts. The efficiency of these systems depends directly on the implementation of strategies for controlling lexical use of source texts as a way to guarantee machine performance and, ultimately, human revision and post-edition work. This paper presents a brief history of application of machine translation, introduces the concept of lexicon and ambiguity and focuses on some of the lexical control strategies presently used, discussing their possible implications for the production and reading of specialized texts.

Estratégias de relativização nas variedades lusófonas

This paper, which examines restrictive and non-restrictive constructions in the Lusophone varieties, assumes that Portuguese has a set of relativization strategies that are recognized by typological linguistics as constructions that define related groups of languages. Thus, it is possible that these different strategies, when employed by the same linguistic system, not really constitute variants of the same syntactic variable but the speaker’s actual choices facing the necessity to perform different social and discursive functions.

A pesca na Amazônia ocidental: tratamento terminológico dos termos fundamentais

Fishing is a very important activity in terms of economic and social development throughout the Amazon region. Text reading this topic revealed the presence of a terminology not yet systematized and record little research and scientific publications on the terminology of this activity. This article aims at analyzing the key terms of fishing. At first, we present a brief history of this activity in Western Amazonia, particularly in Rondônia. The theoretical support was guided by Cabré (1999), with her Communicative Theory of Terminology, Aubert (1996), Barbosa (2002), Barros (2004), Biderman (2006), Babini (2006) and linguists as Baldinger (1966) and Pottier (1974) that reveal the details of linguistic analysis terminology. The creation of an electronic corpus, from texts of technical and documental discourse, theses and websites, composed the first stage of our work. Afterwards, collect the terms and fill the terminological records in our database. The terms were organized into a conceptual system with three notional fields: riverside community, type of fishing, gillnet fishing. Early results show that the set of terms collected is characterized by the strong presence of simple and complex terms, and less compound terms.
