La crítica de la verdad en Nietzsche

El objeto del presente trabajo es el analizar la crítica de Nietzsche al concepto de verdad, tratando de identificar aquellos elementos filosóficos fundamentales que le hacen adoptar una de las actitudes más radicales e influyentes del pensamiento contemporáneo.De este modo he elegido los núcleos de su filosofía que ponen en cuestión prácticamente toda la tradición de pensamiento de ccidente.

Population pharmacokinetic study of memantine: effects of clinical and genetic factors.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Memantine, a frequently prescribed anti-dementia drug, is mainly eliminated unchanged by the kidneys, partly via tubular secretion. Considerable inter-individual variability in plasma concentrations has been reported. We aimed to investigate clinical and genetic factors influencing memantine disposition. METHODS: A population pharmacokinetic study was performed including data from 108 patients recruited in a naturalistic setting. Patients were genotyped for common polymorphisms in renal cation transporters (SLC22A1/2/5, SLC47A1, ABCB1) and nuclear receptors (NR1I2, NR1I3, RXR, PPAR) involved in transporter expression. RESULTS: The average clearance was 5.2 L/h with a 27 % inter-individual variability (percentage coefficient of variation). Glomerular filtration rate (p = 0.007) and sex (p = 0.001) markedly influenced memantine clearance. NR1I2 rs1523130 was identified as the unique significant genetic covariate for memantine clearance (p = 0.006), with carriers of the NR1I2 rs1523130 CT/TT genotypes presenting a 16 % slower memantine elimination than carriers of the CC genotype. CONCLUSION: The better understanding of inter-individual variability of memantine disposition might be beneficial in the context of individual dose optimization.

La bella molinera

Aquest treball vol ser una aproximació a l’obra Die schöne Müllerin, D795, un cicle de vint cançons per a veu i piano, que Franz Schubert va compondre l’any 1823. L’obra es basa en un conjunt de poemes que havia escrit poc abans Wilhelm Müller, i que expliquen la història del desengany amorós d’un jove aprenent de moliner. La bella molinera presenta un ventall infinit de colors, emocions, paisatges... Va des de l’alegria més eufòrica fins a la desesperança més fonda, passant per moments d’ironia, de somnis i de sorpreses. Tot això és analitzat en el treball, número per número, tan en l’aspecte literari com en el musical, i en la seva interrelació.

Wheat germ cell-free expression: Two detergents with a low critical micelle concentration allow for production of soluble HCV membrane proteins.

Membrane proteins are notoriously difficult to express in a soluble form. Here, we use wheat germ cell-free expression in the presence of various detergents to produce the non-structural membrane proteins 2, 4B and 5A of the hepatitis C virus (HCV). We show that lauryl maltose neopentyl glycol (MNG-3) and dodecyl octaethylene glycol ether (C12E8) detergents can yield essentially soluble membrane proteins at detergent concentrations that do not inhibit the cell-free reaction. This finding can be explained by the low critical micelle concentration (CMC) of these detergents, which keeps the monomer concentrations low while at the same time providing the necessary excess of detergent concentration above CMC required for full target protein solubilization. We estimate that a tenfold excess of detergent micelles with respect to the protein concentration is sufficient for solubilization, a number that we propose as a guideline for detergent screening assays.
