O volume, organizado pelo professor Danilo Rothberg, reúne artigos de docentes e pesquisadores de pós-graduação das áreas de ciências humanas e sociais que buscam esclarecer ações que envolvem a comunicação desenvolvida por atores sociais a fim de ampliar os espaços democráticos. A maior parte dos artigos são de autoria de docentes da Unesp e tratam de temas relacionados à comunicação via Internet e de sua aplicação em iniciativas políticas e de interação de instâncias de poder com o público. Mas o livro ainda discute outros meios, como rádio e televisão, além da comunicação organizacional. A obra procura aplicar o conhecimento científico no campo da comunicação desenvolvido nas universidades à realidade do Brasil de hoje. Diante do quadro de constante inovação das formas de se comunicar observado nos últimos anos, os autores contribuem para superar um cenário de aparente falta de informações sobre as realizações políticas e de gestão do setor.

This article aims at analyzing the role of the objects of learning in the propositions for innovation of primary schools during the 20th century, highlighting the changes in the composition of school subjects having in mind the objects that were introduced and marked out as relevant for school modernization and those that remained or were redefined in terms of their finality and uses. The examination of three significant moments of the implementation of innovations in the elementary school is intended: the modernization by the intuitive method at the turn of the century; the propositions of Escola Nova between the 1930s and the 1950s; and the renovation represented by educational technology in the 1960s and 1970s.

Serão problematizadas as relações entre literatura e ensino, com ênfase na história recente do ensino da literatura (infantil) na educação escolar brasileira. O objetivo é discutir a importância da leitura (literária) da configuração de textos literários para o processo de formação de leitores, assim como as implicações para a formação de professores para a educação infantil e anos iniciais do ensino fundamental.

The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze how Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) practices have been adopted by high-tech companies located in Brazil in order to create guidelines to support similar companies to incorporate GSCM initiatives. This research was based on case studies carried out in some representative companies in this sector. The main results are: (a) the supply chain structure can affect both the adoption of GSCM practices and the way they are adopted, (b) the Brazilian environmental legislation and international policies are very important to boost the adoption of GSCM practices, and (c) based on the results obtained, for each one of the six GSCM practices, suggestions for a more appropriate adoption are offered to similar companies.

The goal is to expose some analytical elements on labor and unions of public employees in Brazil, highlighting the case of public employees of the judiciary. At first, we discuss the sociological character of the public proletariat and its dimension in Brazil. Then we discuss the structure of Brazilian union and its corporatist bias. Finally, we we expose the precariousness of work of public sector workers in Brazil in the 2000s.

The aim of this article is to introduce the context when was created the Brazilian oil industry during the period known as “process of substitution of importation”, under influence of the 1930´s Liberal Revolution. The absence of national private capital, ally to disinterest of multinationals oil companies for developing this sector, particularly during the 1930´s, forced Brazilian State to structuralize a system to regulate and to stimulate oil production from a new entity: the National Oil Council, which takes for itself the task to building the Brazilian oil industry during the period 1938-1953.
